  1. You certainly have some skill man. That interior has come a LONG way. Looking good! If you ever need any help, let me know!
  2. Sell the fox. Buy Cobra for weekend and buy quality daily with Fox body money.
  3. Went to the Zoo on sat with the wife. Had a great time. First time for both of us in 10 years.
  4. My goal is to make the GTI a great DD, brakes are on their way (hawk hps pads, tyrol caliper bushings, ss lines, dot 4 fluid, new rotors), suspension next year (H&R cupkit). Winter wheels with snow tires for the winter, and a roof rack for bikes/kayaks. I will be buying a dedicated track car within the next year hopefully to allow myself to mess with that, and not my daily.
  5. My wife and I had a good time at the show.

LOL :gtfo: They are NOT taking league max. They are all taking less to be together. They might even take less to get others. Pippen was good, but not lebron good. Not even close.

  10. I take it this model is a 180hp 1.8t? and not the k04 equiped 225?
  11. If you don't get the Jetta 2.0T, you are way more gay than I tell people. LOL:rolleyes: Talk about stereotyping applicable about 20 years ago. Times have changed with regards to electrical issues. Passat has a tiptronic (tq converted) auto. It is not performance oriented. The Passat also has a very soft suspension. If you are driving the stock car expecting it to feel like an S4 or even a Jetta, think again. DSG is great, but don't get sucked in. I did, and sold it 2 years later. It is NO substitute for a true manual. You will get bored, its only a matter of time. Get the Jetta 2.0T fag. Chill Vanilla Ice.

  13. Which body style/engine/trans are you considering? Too many variables to go through them all. Pretty generic statement, but not totally bogus. The "rough" idle is because it is an Automatic. All of the B7 2.0T Auto's vibrate at idle. When paired with the 6mt, it is soom as butter. This is not to say your issue isn't a valid one, because I think its retarded that they vibrate like that, in a 33-40k car new. I had my B7 A4 6mt for 2 years, 1 issue: coolant nipple on engine block leaked. Easy warranted fix. Nothing else. Ultrasports are bad ass. A few generic things: B5 S4's are generally considered to be maint intensive, which equals $ intesnive. B6/B7 S4's give owners and potential buyers irregular heart rates when thinking about the possibility of the cam chains breaking. A4 1.8T's have sludge issues if oil is not changed regularly. Look for receipts of 3k dino changes and 5-7.5k syn changes. A4 3.0 and 3.2=no mods, but very smooth and reliable. 3.2 is actually pretty fun to drive with a 6mt. A4 2.0T is the way to go. Replace the cam follower every 25k miles like a wear item. My vote is a 2008 A4 Avant 6mt. Factory S-Line exterior standard. Get some coilovers, a chip and you are set.
  14. Wifes friend has a 9week old huskey that needs a home.
  15. Staying in. Wife told me I can get into track days. Looking online for a track car i can fit in!!!
  16. Just bought our first house on May 14th. We were instructed to pay extra tax into an escrow account for when our tax rate goes to the higher, land and house rate. My question: So if we are paying our full tax bill from day one, yet there are months that we will not be taxed at the land and house rate (higher), were is the additional money going? We will accrue a surplus of money that will just be sitting there, correct? And if we continue to pay our taxes in full each month after our normal land and house rate goes into affect, will they write us a check for the amount in escrow? Lower our monthly payment over the next year etc? I understand the idea of the tax escrow is to prevent people from being surprised by a large tax bill for back taxes the first year, but I feel I am missing a vital piece of info to make this clear.
