I was asking because their instructions basically stop after they say to preload and tighten bolts. No description of how to do that... My springs and bolts will be here today.

You agonize over bone in wing size too. That takes time, and effort to do correctly.

I've been thinking about doing this. Probably will when I do my spring install. Question on the rear springs. BMR says to wait to tighten all the nuts and bolts until the car is on the ground, to allow some preload and prevent premature bushing failure. Is that basically just get them all finger tight, lower car to the ground, and then back off a 1/4 turn and then tighten all down to appropriate tq specs? I've never had to do that before...

This sounds like you need a more in depth solution, as the second half of the thread suggests. With that being said, I didn't see you out much last year at autocross. 2016 will be a big year, HPDEs, autocrosses, etc. Bring the Camaro out, and have fun?

Since you're soliciting opinions... If it cost the price you posted in your other thread, I wouldn't take their money for it. Keep it for a while, when you get a little more interested in selling, bring it back up to them. They could have been caught up in your story, and the holidays. It'd be a weird deal but maybe tom is right in the end. I'd urge you to think with your heart on this, as financially it's an obvious yes. Good luck. Maybe propose trade for the rs4?

If you're ok with FWD, you'd be hard pressed to find a better car than a MK7 GTI with Performance Package (LSD, big brakes, touch more power, etc). AWD, I'd look at a Golf R. The problem with Subaru's is the gas mileage. The WRX is rated at 25 highway, and you'd probably have to work at it to get there. A4 would be a fun car, although 40k for one might be tough. 328i? same problem with a4 though.

I agree, something about 2/3rd the size of the mustang with its engine, or camaro, would be incredible.

An mgw shifter for the s550 would certainly make me realize how dangerous those vehicles really are. Currently I'm ok with them.

Brz and frs can be had in mid to high teens. F/I can be done and they handle great. 3 members here have them, actually.

Miller and I will be taking UFO to the next level in 2016. We tried to do some changes the last 2 events of this year, but didn't have ultimate control like we do now. We will have a lot more details in the coming 2 months, but we hope to continue with the positive changes you saw the last events this year. With that said, there is a core group of us that autocross regularly, so the general schedules, and UFO information will be available soon.
