  1. Ten seconds and a pair of dikes. Then it's up to the driver to decide whether to call the cops on himself to file a vandalism claim for insurance remittance, or learn the lesson and pay out of pocket.
  2. How big of a kid will fit in the Barbie car, and how fast/long does it run?
  3. But that's just it... your place on a committee is determined not by your familiarity with the subject, but by how long you've held your seat. Why should someone who has never so much as planted an herb garden be put on the farms and agriculture committee? Or a pacifist on the defense oversight committee?
  4. Not to mention holding something like 60 votes (and counting) on repealing Obamacare. The GOP is not without guilt in this bullshit.
  5. Yup, just about to wrap things up with Marc for the second time. Almost too easy
  6. Pretty much my thought when I put these up, just don't have any of my own. PM me your details, I'll be home all weekend.
  7. Want these gone: GE Gallery electric convection range. Everything works, except the display. It's dim as fsck, which is a pain when you want to bake something. Price: A six pack of something that tastes better than Bud when you come to pick it up. American Standard toilet. High consumption model (probably 3 or 4 gallons per flush) that Ray pulled out for me a couple months back because it was acting slow. We couldn't find anything wrong or stuck, even with his bendy fiber-optic camera, but swapped for a low-consumption model since we had the whole thing torn apart anyway. Price: Another six-pack of something that tastes better than Bud when you come to pick it up.
  8. Hoping for maybe $50-$75 for this 27" television. Has built-in ATSC tuner (so no converter box to watch over-the-air stuff), coax/composite/component inputs and L/R outputs on the back, and composite inputs on the front. Would make for an awesome third-gen (8-bit NES) to sixth-gen (PS2/X-Box) screen, or kids' DVD players. More specs/reviews here.
  9. Droid2 Global for free if you like, probably needs a new battery though.
  10. True, but I'd hardly call this... thing... a cargo van.
  11. Ugly. That's what that is. (and with no rear windows, maybe not even street-legal since it isn't a truck?)
  12. Ohh... calling me a "tenther" and getting your history wrong in the same posting... gotta love that! Why do I say your history is wrong? Because the "support of slavery" argument is actually backwards. It was the North arguing that states should have the right to say "We don't have to return your runaway slaves, because your laws regarding slavery and the capture/return of runaways don't apply here in the first place," rather than the South/Confederacy saying "You can't make Federal law against slavery." Remember, slavery was indirectly written into the Constitution itself via the three-fifths compromise.
  13. Really, this is how it's supposed to be. 10th Amendment specifically says "If we didn't give this power to the Feds, it goes to either the States or the people." Blasted SCOTUS has been letting Congress usurp that limitation, usually through the invocation of the Interstate Commerce clause, even when there is no crossing of state lines
  14. That graphic is really strange... The only issue I ever had with a 36" 480i screen at five feet was my parents yelling at me to back off before my eyes went bad, yet supposedly I'm supposed to be buying a display that might not even exist yet?
  15. So have I... literally (over 500 and counting, with two more later this week). It's not a question of can it be done, but rather, is it being done in the safest manner possible. I'm wearing flash gear that's good to 25cal while hot dropping breakers. Your typical residential do-it-yourself jock *might* be wearing doctor's exam gloves, if anything at all.
  16. The breaker feeding the garage panel should be in your main panel (probably in the basement). It'll be a two-pole breaker, likely 30, 50, or 60 amps. Since you're already going to be in there, adding a service disconnect just in front of the garage panel wouldn't be a bad idea, and isn't particularly expensive, either.
  17. In a hybrid with a half-dead traction battery? Only if you bring a Yugo :masturboy:
  18. When did the banner at the bottom change from "Columbus Racing does not condone illegal street racing" to "Columbus Racing doesn't give a shit either way about illegal street racing?"
  19. Yeah... he's on here, and if I can find his numbers, I'll PM them to you.
  20. Give Ray a call. Probably won't take him more than 2-3 hours.
  21. Crap... I need the 106 Does anyone carry these locally, or am I stuck ordering online?
  22. Officiant - Wayne Doberstyn from http://creativeweddingofficiants.com. They'll sit down and plan out the entire ceremony script with you, taking into account whatever parts are flat-out required by Ohio law (do you, girl, take this man, boy.....), then adding what you want to do, whether it's from the "traditional" rite of marriage that you might get in a church, neo-pagan tradition, asian, whatever. Wifey and I actually said our vows twice, once in English, then again in Chinese. Supplemental catering - Sophie's Catering & Baking - (440) 944-2555. We only used Sophie for Slovenian-style sausages (they're a lot more meaty/dense than your usual polska kielbasa) and then dessert (strudel, potica, cookies, etc) since our venue host was doing all the rest. Sadly, he passed away about a year and a half ago, so no sense forwarding his info
  23. Turn valves - I've been thinking about this for my Civic a while now given how much CLE-CBus commuting I do these days. Nice to know they're CR-endorsed One question... how tightly is it recommended to turn these suckers, given that the intent is to never take it back off?
