I'm always very upfront about cost and what I specifically will be paying. Too often something like this happens or there's some kinda misunderstanding that leads to me bitching until it's fixed.

I've had to work with liquid nitrogen on a daily basis at one point. Cold burns are far worse imo than a heat burn. However, you shouldn't remove the skin. The fluid will be absorbed by the body and the skin can continue to protect the wound from infection. In the longrun, it'll heal faster with less scarring and pain. Glad it was only your hand and that you didn't have absorbent gloves on. Trust me when I say it's way worse when it gets on any clothing you're wearing.

Traffic takes some getting used to. Of course, it helps I was born in LA and have lived out there a couple times, since. I was actually quite suprised how well I did in it when I was out their last year. I guess I pretty much knew what to expect and accepted it. Whenever I'm here and I find myself gettting angry with traffic, I remind myself what it's like to live in LA or Houston and I get over it. lol I will say, there is a neverending string of things to do out there. THere really is something for everyone. Even in such a high population place, I had many places to go that were beautifula and fun to me and you would hardly find a soul. Of course, these aren't places a tourist would normally stumble across. And like any other place, its got a one hell of a mix of people, some good, some bad. All the city life you can handle and some of the most beautiful sites in the world. I'm also not allowed to carry a weapon of any kind while in the state or else.

Hope he got the rental insurance. Of course, that won't pay for the enviromental charges they'll give him to teach him a lesson, as well.

There are many other factors to consider, however, still pretty fucked up. I know I've been places when things have gone down with nothing to do with it, and have been the first one cuffed when the cops show up. I've even had the cops make jokes about it afterward becuz they fucked up. Luckily, I have a good sense of humor. And to most people, (especially now I dress a certain way, etc) don't even know I'm Puerto Rican. Imagine how Brian feels everytime I see him and the first thing I do is check for my wallet. Maybe it's due to the areas and people I grew up around, but Im just as likely to assume the caucasion person is up to something. I believe some of my or anyone else's assumption could possibly partially be based on locale. I didn't see white folk around where I lived so they 'stuck out' more, so to speak. Lesson learned: If you wanna be a thief. You should be white. Oh, wait. We have politicians and CEO's doing it already. lol Shit, I gotta stop thinking small (rims and cell phones) and start thinking big (handouts and bonuses). hahaa

I've been saying the same thing. The negative ad campaigns and mudslinging seem to be at an all time high. I have yet to see a single ad that wasn't solely based on negative bashing of opponents.
