  1. Went and grabbed and/or made everything I need to one-man it, but realized I simply don't want to do it that way. I don't believe the brake fluid has ever been changed in this car. So, I want to do a full flush and it's harder to minimize contamination between old and new fluid when there's nobody to hold the brake pedal down while I close the bleeder valve. And, like you said, it takes a lot longer by yourself, though, as I mentioned above, that's not the only deciding factor here. (Minimizing getting up and down and bending over constantly is also especially important due to my back issues - shouldn't even be doing this. haha) Wish I had a pressure bleeder but don't really wanna spend $50 or whatever for one. :bs: Tempted to try to convert this sprayer but I'll just probably spend too much time doing it and probably regret it. lol Looks like I'll be doing a lot of sitting around this weekend...
  2. I currently can't find any of my damn clear plastic tubing. Looks like I'll have to leave goto the store either damn way. :thumbdown
  3. This is what I've done before. Just seems faster with two especially with one person applying pressure to the brake pedal while I bleed each wheel. Little development off of Clime near Demorest. I think I need to grab another bottle of fluid so I may go this route or probably just convert this here Vitamin Water bottle.
  4. You managed the weight gain of the added IRS better than Ford did... It's all looking very good. Very impressive.
  5. So, girlfriend is out of town and the Vibe is still doing its best impression of a hovercraft. I need someone who lives on the SW side who has absolutely nothing to do for a bit except pump a brake pedal while I do a bleed. Or, if someone has a bleeder that I may borrow, that would be fine, as well. Doesn't even have to be today, but it'd be nice to have it done by the weekend. Perhaps you need help with something simple, too or could just use a 6-pack or similar. Feel free to post here or pm. Thanks.
  6. Nice work, man. I apologize if it was covered earlier, but what was the reason for the seat delete? Did you happen to weigh the rear seat, etc when you removed it and how much is all that aluminum you replaced it with weigh? Thanks.
  7. They do look pretty cooked. (valves)
  8. I'm sure it would be far from direct even though it's pretty much the same FA. Remember, in the WRX, it's setup for an awd drivetrain. Can't imagine there's anything stopping you from using the same cams, turbo, etc.
  9. Some before and afters would be nice. Too lazy to look up old pics of the Camaro. lol I'm not much for orange, but I bet it looks damn good in the bright sun. Did he freshen up the interior, too? I need to pm him for some pricing unless he or someone else feels comfortable enough to post it here.
  10. Well, truly it sounds as if you've made up your mind, though I find it kind of hard to get after reading your IS acquisition thread. Personally, I'd keep the IS (your current IS is exactly what I'd want), but I rock a manual daily already with no issue. Truly, for this area, the G35 is probably the better daily with auto and awd, but I can almost guarantee it doesn't hold up as well as the IS, especially interior, etc. Why does the G35 owner want to trade so badly? Does he simply have the opposite priorities as you do? Is it someone you can trust?
  11. Rain finally forced me inside earlier. I can't count the amount of times it rained on me in the short time I was outside trying to complete my brake overhaul. Pull everything out, work for 10min, rain, put everything away, rain stops, pull it all out again, repeat. Finally gave up at 130 when it really soaked me. Put everything away, walked inside to shower, fucking sun came out. Makes me wanna walk back outside and just choke the living shit out of the first thing I see. Damn car has been been on jackstands for almost two weeks, now. No room in garage to pull the 'outside' car in even if I wanted, too, now. Haven't even completely finished a corner, yet.
  12. That would be hilarious. haha Hey, wasn't there a Porsche thread around here somewhere?
  13. To be fair, he didn't say they were getting rid of them, he just didn't have high hopes. He says as long as people want them, they will build them. On the positive side, especially given the hp limit, perhaps they'll start refocusing on the driving dynamics they were once famous for.
  14. You recording it with a VCR? Actually, probably a lot of truth to that statement if it's aired.
  15. Got ripped off. $25 and he could've retained the rigidity. http://www.offroaders.com/tnt/images/2c69_1.jpg http://www.offroaders.com/tnt/6.htm
  16. If you haven't been following the Battlebots thread, there were a couple kinda off-topic posts regarding a challenge by a team from the USA after having built themselves a giant robot. Below is a copy of the post regarding both of these robots and their accompanying vids followed by a link to Jalopnik regarding the Japanese acceptance and acceptance video. Watched that vid last night and accompanying one showcasing the Japanese robot. It would be far better than that tripe they tried to show a couple seasons ago, Robot Combat League. Other robot's vid: Link to article and acceptance video: http://jalopnik.com/its-on-japan-accepts-us-giant-robot-fight-challenge-1716089346 Acceptance vid for those who don't care about the short article:
  17. Nice. I've really grown to appreciate the old Porsches.
  18. The BB court would be a good slick track for some of those Razor karts or the like.
  19. Cuz of the Terminator movies?
  20. Sexy http://www.foodpoisonjournal.com/files/2015/07/Chicken_Cordon_Bleu_I-11.jpg
  21. I'm sure there are plenty of "offs" to be fucking.
