Witnessed a white one of these broke down on 23 in south Delaware today before noon. Also saw two vettes (one hideously styled) heading south on 23,as well, same section just before 11. Vettes by themselves are no big deal, but you could tell they were out for something.

You're on the right track. There was a large debate on this quite some time ago on a supra forum. The general finalized consensus was it was better to plumb it back thru for some of those exact reasons. Mine is plumbed back into my intake before the turbo; its stock location.
