  1. Just bumping back to the top. Be there....
  2. I went to Ilmors web site.... So it is a built viper engine? They look cool. Plus they have 700 hp on 92 octane gas, not bad! Any clue on cost? I wonder if you could mount one of those to a Berkly jet drive?
  3. How are they getting around the flame arrestor requirement? Or is the K&N considered a flame arrestor?
  4. I think that some may... you cant just put a regular K&N air filter on a boat and say it is a flame arrestor. But I may be wrong...
  5. In my opinion they only mods I would do is off the shelf for a couple of reasons. First of all, the mods may have to be Coast Guard approved for use on a boat. Secondly having to be towed to shore is not good. Boats are like airplanes, reliable is the better than speed. If you want a boat that you can modify like a car I would look into a old jet boat that has an open engine bay. Then you can get off the shelf turbo and blower set ups that are Coast Guard approved. Other than that, I am a person that says leave the boat stock.
  6. I am almost sure that the ones in blue are on the exhaust side. The allen bolts that hold the exhaust one are a pain to get out, unless you have the allens with the ball end. I remember now, that should be the exhaust side.
  7. those are on the intake side... Never mind I might be wrong... I have not looked at one of those in a year.
  8. I would start with the impeller. I know that someone has performance kits for those engines.
  9. no they are not... I would just leave them alone. Is there a problem with the boat?
  10. One thing I do know is those engines are very sensitive to changing things. You better get the manual.
  11. 2 strokes must have an expansion chamber in the exhaust. click
  12. I tied my best to add the ' thing at the end so people would get it. It is pronounced "leaky leaky", for those that thought it was "like like".
  13. They tune the power band of the engine. You cannot remove them. The red things are called power valves I do believe... do not remove them either. Your best bet is to just leave it stock unless you can find an off the shelf performance exhaust. I did work on my friends SeaDoo. He had the exhaust get corroded and it ate a hole in the water jacket. We almost sunk the boat in apple valley lake last year. I took them out and welded a patch plate in. Worked good as new
  14. If that fight happens... it will be legendary!
  15. Skate boarders do tend to get picked on by the law. I experienced it myself as a kid. I say he was out of line, no matter what. BTW... I was watching CNN today at lunch and the video made it to national media
  16. We have plenty of ignorant people in the country too.
  17. I am not really into bike anymore....
  18. I grew up around that mentality... it always takes at least 5 guys to beat up another !
  19. It took them 20+ years to build that road and it is rough. I lived in Kaneohe before it was completed and I always took the Like' Like' or the Pali. The H3 has helped traffic alot, but is it not a great road.
  20. 198 hp......wow that should go 9's stock
  21. I watched this video and this guy mad my palms get sweaty. He is running on Hawaii's H3 highway. I have drove on that highway many times, and he was tempting death on that run. When you enter the long tunnel you are blind for a couple of seconds. On top of that you can run into rain up on the mountains without any warning at all.
