  1. If you send me the vins , mileage and options I can give you a idea what you would be looking at to get for them via a dealership buyout vs market value

Sadly while still decently well the market is softening up a little bit so I would make a decision sooner rather than later

  2. I have driven the 3 and the S and both were decent.

I will be going to NC in a couple days and get to drive my sisters new Y so kinda excited to see how the newer ones compare to the older version I have driven before.

I know the older ones for sure had panel gap issues etc like everyone has already stated but as far as the overall EV goes Tesla is still so far ahead of the game when it comes to charging

  3. Don't be a dumbass with it, fill the gas tank when done and you can use mine for a afternoon. PM me if you want to use it, I am uber busy right now in life so sometimes go a week or two before checking CR out.

Doc let me do that back in the day so just passing the favor along. (I came back a year later and bought his slingshot as they are just too much fun. lol)

ive always wondered how much fun they are since having my exocet a couple years back

  4. After selling the Volvo a couple months ago, we’re aware that our son is car crazy and a cheap stick-shift (especially boosted) fun car is an allowable purchase. This, however, is a little too pedestrian.

Fun fact: my cheap Volvo S60 killt the CTS-V. After I got Volvo and threw the baby seat in the back, I hardly ever drove the V. After modding the Volvo and doing NTR and 555, I realized after a year that the automatic SUCKS and sold it.

Putting this down for historical CR record. :) If I come across a good stick car (preferably after the RV cabin resto is done), there’s always room for one more.

Legally you still own a bmw also 😂😂

  5. If their focus is to say stop a teen driver for taking the car when they shouldn’t , I would A: take the keys so they can’t get in the car . B: if they do take it correct the behavior however your parenting model seems fit .

IF you were to install a device that shuts off the car after it is taken the last thing I would want is for my kid who took the car to be driving and not be able to steer or stop the vehicle because I cut power and cause harm potentially

    Just my 1 cent thought

  6. So if you have made 9 payments, that money should/will come back to you and can help offset that $4k difference. The MFG should be willing to work with you to get you into another car so they can not actually have cash going back to you, but will be getting you into another car. Could work out in your favor to end up with a one year newer model with the same payment/term. You don't get what you don't ask for. I think the #1 priority is to start that process today.

And in this market of you can find a new car I would take it as most 1-2 year old cars are selling for sticker

  7. Who says it needs to be a "certified" mechanic and what is their definition? The reason I ask, is Ford has a different certification program from ASE. If it is for Ford warranty, I would guess they want a Ford Technician. If it is an aftermarket warranty, I would guess an ASE technician is acceptable. There are also different levels. 1 Ford certification can be a Ford certified Technician but, if they are certified in brakes, does that help you in your performance requirement? They may want a Master or even a Senior Master. The same applies for ASE. They could be certified in Diesel Brakes or a Master Automotive.

Don’t quote me but I believe to Maintain the ford warranty it has to be done at a Ford certified dealer

  8. I'm not sure if I actually *need* one, but since I'm just some guy, probably wouldn't hurt. Looks like I'll have to wait to see if this 3rd "fix" actually does the trick or not.

My concern right now is that this is happening every 1k miles or so, and I have trips planned mid june and end of july to NC and VA, which are both gonna put ~1k miles on the car...on both trips I'll have a car full of stuff and 4 bicycles on a hitch rack and I'm sure trying to get something from whatever dealership I may have to go to while on vacation (which is a headache just thinking about it) is not going to be something that will haul everything I need + have a hitch for my bikes. And what if it happens last day of trip and here I am stuck for extra days? Basically I don't want to be dealing with this but since it happens at random with no rhyme or reason, who knows when it'll happen again. Both times previously it was supposed to be a random issue and resolved and here we are. 🤷^♂️

I fully understand that , most dealers will give you a loaner if your vehicle is under warranty while it is in for service if that helps

  9. Congrats, on the new ride. You could have just bought my entire C5Z ;)

What is a C5 Z06 exhaust worth these days? I have one in my basement, but I've always hung onto it in case I wanted to swap it out for a long road trip.

You say there might be a zo6 for sale ???

  10. Thats what I got from some quick reading.

I decided since I was not working and just doing market testing today I'd follow dogecoin with some paper trades and so far its not working out great for me. That one I posted the chart on made me 1%, but I'll call that one luck as the chart hasn't moved predictably since and today is feeling like forex to me and if it was real I'd be at 0 or -1% so far. This is just using Yahoo's charts as my TD ameritrade accounts don't do crypto so I can't get good charts up for any of it.

market between now and the weekend with elon hitting the tv will be hard to get decent data from. Im curious to see what it roughly balances at next tuesday-wednesday. that said i left 1,000 coins in at a average just under .61 to see what might happen after the debute on snl

  11. I avoid the woulda coulda shoulda by keeping to a rule of day trading only. I pretty much exit positions within 10-15 minutes making off with around 1% profit and never keeping positions overnight. I miss out on huge gains but I missed huge loses as well and keep the gains very consistent at 1/2-2% per day that I trade right now a few times per month however I'm working to move into full time day trading.

There's so many times I would have been rich if I just held but the risk would mean blowing up my accounts and being ruined in one move so it's far to risky. Not saying I haven't done that in the past.

Exactly , they don’t show you all the stories of people loosing it all because everyone thinks they are going to become a millionaire from their $500 investments

  12. Thanks, They must be new. I have searched before and did not find anything. I thought maybe could rent one for around 200.00. 400.00 seems a little pricey.

You can barely rent any car for under $150 no a days without a discount service

Just looked up renting the cheapest car in July to drive from va to nc and it was like $138 for a damn Aveo lol

  13. It's basically a meme currency and doesn't really stand a shot at being legit, right? but the 500% swings would make for a fun ride

absolutely, not a good time to be greedy but if buying at 20 cents and selling for 30-35 there are gains to be had for a cheap entry
