Was out there all afternoon (12-5) and the water is incredibly warm. Not even refreshing to jump in anymore! Still great day on the water. We waterskiied across absolute glass. Fun stuff at the ramp - from the DNR officer kicking some unprepared redknecks off the lake, to some mexicans in a huge, impractical, lifted SUV on 24's trying to back in a 10ft shorelander trailer and jackknifing every 5 feet. They never did make it... an old dude that was chilling by the ramp had to back the trailer for them!

You're nuts! Those "other" cars obviously aren't important to you. You don't care enough about them to even say what they are! Sell one of them and daily drive the WS6 until you can re-purchase an "other" car for your daily. Shit, use the money from the sale to buy some quality all seasons if you can't replace the "other" car before winter. Never sell the toy... especially not if it means that much to you.

Bought one this year at batteries plus. Don't worry about the whole "sealed vs unsealed" thing. Unsealed batteries do not leak. My ski has flipped a few times and the unsealed battery is absolutely fine. $44 if I remember correctly...

hmm sounds like you should let sully (or me!) drink it, then give the bottle to LS-ONEd to display. Win/win/win, and you would get $110 out of the deal!

Mine was doing this too. If you're using firefox, just reinstall it. No clue what was up.

Installing an electric turbo... backwards. (LULZ INSIDE)
hot_wire replied to Aesthetic_Influx's topic in Passing Lane
So just doing a little math here. Based on the assumption that air flow is proportional to RPM (semi-true), then if the car idles at 1000rpm, and revs to 7000rpm, the car would flow about 140cfm at the rev limiter. Thats an embarassment that this "turbo" can flow less than half of the necessary air to run the engine at high rpm. -

Just for knowledge sake... What kind of pressure could an electric "turbo" like that put out? I'd have a hard time believing anything over 1-2 psi. Also, how large would an electric turbo need to be to flow enough air for a car's engine? I feel like the turbo on his car would be well matched to my 4hp lawnmower... -
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gipbD_h1BFQfUosnT4mbq9ePCO6w SAAB forums are shitting themselves over the news. I can't imagine a cooler company to take over SAAB. Swedish based, innovative, and high end. I wonder if there will be any brand crossover/merger or if they will remain separate companies?

My 90hp ski can pull 200lb tubers/waterski riders no problem. Ample holeshot, and more topspeed than you want. Over 35 on waterskis is scary! Never tried wakeboarding though. I assume that the wake is too small to get much air off.

My 97 Yamaha's take a lot of abuse and have been reliable for the past year. They're 760cc which means good gas milage, but not as quick as the 1200's. (50mph vs 65mph). I second the idea about getting a two seater. I've got one two seater and a three, and I can tell you which one I prefer to ride.... However, the three seater is required if you're tubing/waterskiing, and is nice if you're riding with someone who doesnt want to get tossed around/wet. And yes, jetskis are very simple and easy to work on. Everything's very straight forward except for the carbeurator. I've only worked on FI cars, and these carbs are just confusing and developed before my time! Hit me up if you understand jetting.... My top end needle needs some kind of adjustment.

Hey atleast the dude is creative. When my drill bit fails I look for other tools. The handgun is definitely an "out of the box" solution!

Check etrailer.com They hooked me up with a hitch for my SAAB that was about 50% less than competitors... Drawbar and ball included.

My car seems to run rough on BP. I'm with you on shell/sunoco/marathon. It's probably superstition though.

real racing for pink slits

was trying to figure out how a race could be NSFW. + rep for you my friend -
Shit! Glad you kept calm and got things under control. Blowing a car tire is difficult enough. I can't imagine a bike.

Wnaplay, I appreciate the price negotiation, but I think it's too much of a commitment for me since I've never boarded. It would be a lot more tempting too if the bindings fit. Ideally I'd find fitting bindings and a board together. NitrousBird, the advice is wise, but I really want to start with something affordable (for this summer) until I get better. Hopefully I can get a cheaper board to last this season. I'm not planning to be doing any flips quite yet. Hopefully 99TA can pick up one of your nicer boards. Being in college, price is just too important to me. SDYC00GT, You're speaking my language! haha. The garage cleanout is perfect. I'd appreciate pix of the $50 Obrien, and would definitely like to see the more expensive board as well. Maybe we can find a middle gound between a low end "junk board" and a flawless hyperlite! Although, if you managed to ride the $50 Obrien, I'm sure my friends and I could make it work as well.
-
Hmmm I was hoping to spend about $150 for board and bindings. Do I need to man up and raise my price point? Or is a junk board okay for a junk rider? I know how to waterski and snowboard, but I've never ridden a wakeboard. I was looking for a more worn board with bindings that my friends and I could all ride (with shoe sizes ranging from maybe 10-14). Thanks for the offers! Keep em coming. I was just looking to spend a little less since I have no experience. Adjustable bindings would be real nice too since I won't be the only rider....

Awesome. Really didn't expect a response on here. Let me know what you've got. Email pix to estreibig@gmail.com if they're too big to post.

As the title says, I'm looking for a wakeboard or wakeskate. Don't know much about them, other than the fact that I'm not trying to spend $300 + for a brand new one! Hopefully yours is: Not pristine Has adjustable bindings or bindings that are size 11-12 Cheap (relatively...) Shoot me pictures and a price of whatever you've got. If you upgraded, and your old beater board is still taking up room in the garage, perfect! Thanks! Ed

The product is cool as fuck. Is it legitimately in development? I can't imagine that it can pick out the meaningful motions out of extraneous other motions. With three people on the sofa, how could it know which one is "driving"? Really impressive if they can implement this!

I decided that it was definitely a S&W. I really don't think that, even with the HD version, I could figure out which model. The gun was large, and looked quite a bit like the massive S&W 500. This was just a curiosity for me, and I found out what I wanted to. If I ever own a gun, it will be an oversized nickel revolver - like that model 17 or 500 (not that I could handle it).

Understood about the picture. It was the best I could do with a screencapture. Thanks!
