Thinking of waterskiing, I'm not sure about Ohio's rules on towing with a jetski. My skis have mirrors, but do I still need a spotter riding on the back? Today I was towing without a spotter, and never had trouble watching the skiier. Just trying to avoid being thrown off the water by the DNR. I've never owned a boat before....

Was out on Alum for most of this afternoon on my waverunners. They're 97 Yamahas - one's a GP760 the other is a Waveventure 760. Not the fastest skis (top speed is 55 on the screen so probably high 40's GPS) but plenty of go for me. He was riding an older Yamaha 650 that had taken on a ton of water and was 75% submerged. His 7 year old son was keeping pretty chill as the ship sank, but his dad was definitely (and appropriately!) concerned. When he pulled it out, the engine bay was completely flooded. Turns out he didn't realize that skis have "plugs" just like larger boats. Whoops.

How do you catch a carp? I see absolute lunkers in the Olentangy River behind my house. These are solid 2-3 foot fish that look like logs under the surface. When they jump, you can hear the smack across the park. I always use my trusty worm and bobber setup, but that just attracts bluegill and catfish... I've wanted to catch one of these suckers for years (not for eating, just to reel something that huge in). Am I using the wrong bait, wrong technique, or both?

Just to alum, but I'll be spending a lot of the summer at my friend's place on Lake Erie. What type is yours? My skis are a 97 GP760 and 97 Waveventure760. They can break the 50 mark (speedo) in choppy water. Not sure of the top speed on a glassy day. 100mph on something this small would be straight scary!

Well, summer's almost here, and I need some way to finance my vehicular addictions. I've been trolling craigslist jobs, but it can't hurt to post here. Anyway, I'm a freshman (sophomore next year) at Miami OH, majoring in Business Marketing. I live in Clintonville. I'm really open to about any type of job this summer - it definitely doesn't have to relate to my major. -I've got a couple years worth of experience working the front desk at a local real estate company. I'm good with people, and make a good first impression (so I've been told). -Two summer's experience working as a shop boy at a SAAB repair shop. I'm competent around cars, but still no mechanic. -I'm physically capable and enjoy being outside. Landscaping? -Professional appearance -Flexible on times -I listen well, learn quickly, and can work independently Anyway, let me know if you hear of any openings. Maybe a friend owns a company that needs a part/full time employee for the summer? Let me know! Sounds like they covered themselves pretty well. Can't stop payment on cash, and since she signed the dotted line, I really doubt that you can sue. That's breach of contract. With legal options exhausted, I'd hire a professional burglar to the the $$$$ back....
