    Autozone

Autozone generally fucks me too. I always end up making 2 trips for one part. I walk in with the part or part number in my hand, they recommend substitute part #x and I come home to discover that part #x doesn't fit, isn't recommended, or is generally fucked. Although, autozone still isn't as shitty as my new most hated company -- TICKETMASTER. They're like the mafia of ticket sales. Face value plus 60% more in fees, printing, tax, stadium rental, facilities, the bj that I will never get from them, etc.
  3. Might be going jetskiing with way too many friends. I've never braved Alum on a summer weekend. My schedule's flexible enough that we usually go during the week. How much of a clusterfuck will it be if we go tomorrow?
  4. Damn thats alot of money. As in, worth as much as my car money. Hope he shows. Would be a hella fun race! Please take video?! haha Can't imagine he is that shitty of a driver that he would put 3 seconds on his time. Ouch.
  5. Or this ^^ I could have used you before I tore apart that broken iphone....
  6. I did the same kind of thing on both of my cars (soldering in ipod integration). It's not as hard as you would think. Try to pick up a 20 watt iron with a small tip and go to town. I could help, but I really just have the tools, steady hand, and the reckless attitude - not the experience. That solder in your photo looks a little messy. I bet you could do better
  7. Very nice.... I found the index http://asianguywithacamera.com/images/2009events/071009_ModelsAndBottles/
  8. Definitely not. I said indirectly responsible. Meaning that he was encouraging illegal, potentially dangerous behavior. Obviously, the driver wasn't forced and the vast majority of the blame still rests with him for doing illegal stuff and losing control. Not trying to start shit, but I do think that the DJ is unneeded encouragement.
  9. Well done, but I'd be self conscious driving a fake. Not so much that I'm afraid other people would notice. It's that I would still be lusting after the real thing when I mashed the gas.
  10. Maybe it's late, maybe I'm drunk, but I can't seem to focus in on her message. However, her constant gesticulations (start at about 0:40) remind me of a choir concert that I was involved in in elementary school. I mean, she cannot keep her hands still! haha
  11. Ahh - didn't realize that you knew him on a personal level. If it were one of my friends, I'd give him a round of crap too. Agreed that messing around on public streets carries inherent dangers. He caught the consequences. Fortunately, I haven't yet, but I can still sympathize with him.
  12. Dude, you're being a dick. The guy just wrecked his car which he obviously enjoyed. Isn't that enough to not have to eat shit online? I agree about the DJ. That guy is egging them on, and was indirectly responsible for a head on collision last year. After the dj yelled "burn em burn em!" or something, a Chevelle owner tore it loose through the intersection and managed to total his car and his weekend. Not cool.
  13. I was going to say... looks like my red miata is a real man's car! haha
  14. Seems fishy that the glass is not pre-drilled.
  15. Look fun! You got a great price on those. How many cc?
  16. Bought the same condition slicks from you a couple years back. Much fun for the autox.
  17. hmmmm... my interpretation: Some dude is driving to pick up your parts for a buddy, who he doesn't really like. To make it worth the driver's time, he is overcharging, taking a cut of the sale, and giving you a little extra too - just cause he's a good guy. While the driver is there, he might look at some of your other parts for his personal use. The driver finishes with an entertaining metaphor about picnics. If he shows up and is willing to pay extra, I'd say let him do it!
  18. http://columbus.craigslist.org/boa/1244579931.html got your shit covered. no affiliation of course.
  19. saw one on craigslist for 450. dont know if its still there
  20. Walked by as they were clearing the crime scene. Will be curious to know what actually happened.
  21. Hey I wasn't really planning to sell, but "everything's for sale" and I wouldn't mind for the right price - especially with winter storage being an issue. I've got a 97 Waveventure (three seater) and a 97 GP760 (two seater) on a double trailer that I'd sell for 4500. Both run great, very reliable, perfect compression, about 170 hrs a piece. Engines 10/10 Cosmetic 6/10 (Have some scratches, and a couple places with surface fiberglass damage. Absolutely no leaks. Does not affect performance. Note to self: never let inlaws dock skis.) Double trailer 8/10 (was rusted, recently sanded to bare metal and repainted. Drives great with bearing buddys) Overall great running skis, even though they're not immaculate. A riot on the water - both hit 50. Can tow a skiier. Blue book was around 5500 including the trailer last I checked.
