  1. I ask the same thing to myself everytime I see people with their obongo stickers on their cars still...
  2. I would have told him that he would have cited me for obstructing traffic/unsafe lane maneuver if I had moved more quickly...
  3. Facepalm I'm learning a little but here, but it's def. from Aj and Craig......since years of experience always owns.
  4. Wow that is nuts. I had to sit there and look at it for a few minutes, neat.
  5. Excess heat....go back roading. Also, if it were adding material to the rotors, how come they get thinner over their useful life? There are minimal thickness specifications that tell us if they are too thin to lathe because thinner metal cannot dissipate the heat as well as thicker rotors. Some rotors are manufacturer defect...warped straight out of the box. Sometimes it's due to rust or corrosion built up on the hub b/w the rotor. Hence why you sand/take a wire brush to the hub when you do brakes. Sometimes pulsation could be a pitted rotor, rust has physically taken chunks out of the rotor over time. Never heard of pads causing a pulsation, the rotor is a rotating surface, the pad wears and the rotor wears.
  6. Erica and I plus some Pat's may show up. IDK
  7. I go by private party value, which seems to be pretty accurate. I also then go to craigslist and see what other people are asking for a vehicle similar to mine. Then if people are dumb enough to ask trade in value on their car that they are selling private party, I don't say a word and steal their car. If you are selling it's private party, trade in is so low because the dealer needs to make a buck.
  8. Dude I was SO confused with this list when I looked at it lol. The xi wagon I worked on the other month was not turbo....dunno about the newer ones like you guys do lol. Oh and as far as insurance goes it was $2 more expensive a month than my MR2 which is right around $48 a month iirc. Not full coverage obviously.
  9. WHOA lol, that came out of no where haha. Welcome newbert.
  10. Holy far away, dunno if it's worth coming here for track time, but to each their own lol.
  11. Sorry to hear that, prayers to all families involved.
  12. Can't go wrong with a Subaru Vibe GT's are neat in a 6speed b/c of the Toyota 2ZZ motor (detuned Lotus motor) Audi....bend over on maintenance, if you can afford an Audi, make sure you can afford to fix it. Ford Escape...it's a Ford. You might be a Ford person, but a Subaru can satisfy anything you like about the Escape as far as cargo, AWD, fuel economy etc.. I would ALMOST look at a BMW 335ix before the Audi, due to no turbo's to worry about. AND that Audi parts are overpriced VW parts that just say Audi on the package and still says VW on the part lol.
  13. What was the orange race car hiding itself in the garage? Looks good Bill!
  14. ^LMAO haha, that's great. Awful lot of smoke rolling out of the Audi.... Epic win. how ironic is that. Have you driven either cars?
  15. My red MK2 will be available in a couple weeks....just FYI.
  16. Toy Story /thread Funny I was just talking to my girlfriend about this in Target yesterday while walking through the toy aisle. Thanks for the heads up, we will watch out for it.
  17. I will not do hocking hills in a group because I don't trust other people's skills, just as I expect no one to trust mine. 2 years ago on one of those a MR2 managed to land on it's roof. Group mentality, + need to pace an experienced driver without skills = failure. Phil, you should come out and ride sometime......not watch.
  18. First time on a camping trip? Lol. I love taking the MR2 camping, it limits the "shit" you can take due to available space for said "shit"
  19. I was about to say, there was one at Arthrits Show....well there was one of everything at the Arthritis show lol.
  20. That's easily fixed. Would make a mean DE car....
  21. I'll take your SC then....I mean if it stinks that bad lol
  22. Just sayin' lol. I drove this car for a guy I work with and his Dad. Needless to say it was not set up for this, automatic slap shift and all. It did pretty well for the car, got beat by a modern 6sp. SS by about a second and managed to beat 1 MK2 MR2 like mine. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/camaro1.jpg
  23. More of a "if your complaining that your bored with your car...expand your horizons" If I was bored with going around corners, I would expect the drag guys to be right there encouraging me to give it a shot. There are just a lot of variables with turning that makes it difficult to get bored. It's just cheaper, if I got bored with the MR2, I would sell it and buy a Miata. Totally different handling characteristics, mods are cheap, totally different car. BAM new experience and level of fun.
