  1. I'm ready! High performance summer tires and all as usual!
  2. Really clean build, not many turn out to look exactly like the real thing. They usually look super disproportional. Why do people have to nit pick at stupid shit, this is a highlight of talent, not legal details. Just because you don't have the talent, or are jealous is no reason to worry about how the car is to be licensed. It's a tube frame car, for all intensive purposes it's a racecar.
  3. I understand the idea of tearing up a limited production car like the GNX, but I am a huge fan of the resto-mod cars. I think it looks good, but would be better if it was just a regular Grand National.
  4. I want the 7m because it has counter weights whereas the 6m does not. Even though the 6m is lighter the 7m is a lot easier on the engine. I will check Edison, thanks for the heads up.
  5. WOW! Huge fan already, keep up the good work and welcome to the site!
  6. Is that list or your cost? I can get cost though Tansky because of work, but I can pick up a used one for around 100 bucks.
  7. LMAO they fucking painted everything! It looks like a car you take to a school so that you can teach kids to identify different parts of a car lol. Here is the link of it moving...at the end they dyno it, blow a head gasket, put a new one on then destroy the turbo the next day. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kWdmOmzmZHI 900whp and 10,000 rpm goal my ass, that is ridiculous.
  8. I need a 7m stock crankshaft for my MKIII Supra ('87), it can be out of the 7mge (non-turbo) or 7mgte (turbo). Some of the MKIII Supra's have a 6m crankshaft and that is not what I am looking for! PM me if you or someone you know wants to sell!
  9. ^haha thats great. I bet it was a "hey listen to my bov" or something stupid
  10. Ahh lol I think i know who your talking about as well. Good show, i bet there will be pre-registration and a limited number of cars next year tho. I didn't even know there were more cars up front at first, it was a huge show.
  11. Wait, so why is the name hotrod240sx relevant to anything? I was expecting a 240sx w/ a V8 in it or something.....
  12. That was epic lol, he was so into your car too. I thought he was gonna fall off his bike....
  13. Amen! I hear that loud and clear!
  14. My .02 on this is that bikes should be registered and held fully accountable to following the laws of the road. For example, the next bike rider that feels the need to lane ride at the stop lights is getting a door swung open in front of them. We just took forever getting around you and now you are going to make us do it again after we are pissed? Not a smart move. Or the, ride down the street until you get to a traffic light then hop on the sidewalk to pass everyone then go back onto the street.....bullshit. The next biker that tries to weave through the intersection while their light is red and mine is green is getting fucking hit.....it needs to happen since apparently the rules of the road do not apply to cyclists... I cycle, not as much now, but I used too. I stayed the fuck out of the way, obeyed the laws when i had to ride on the street and basically had a respect for what is bigger and faster than me. That is why I can bitch and say what I am saying. It's like this gas thing hits and now every mindless weenie gets on a bike and has no idea what the FUCK is going on when people get pissed at them. You can tell who has ridden the streets a long time and who just started to save gas. Ninja edit..../my rant
  15. Yeah those harley bikes are way over rated, the reason most people get them is for all the shit you can hang on it anyway. They seem like they are slow as shit for as loud as they are, and I talked to a guy that says they shift like shit too. So, why have them? Basically they too fit into the definition of "ricer"
  16. Hey Will whats up? Welcome to the madness..... Yes Pat we have eaten with him at QSL for wing night.
  17. Idk about sequential, but on a normal manual straight cut gears I would see it as being pretty streetable. There were straight cut gears in the formula ford I autocrossed a couple years ago and i still used the clutch to shift, you don't have to , but I did most of the time because it was easier on the gear box. On the other hand I could not out shift the gearbox, whereas on the MR2 the gearbox does not shift as quickly as I would like it to without grinding. A dog box always seems to grind in some way when you are sitting stopped and put it into first, I could never put it in first without grinding it in some way. Just a little info, not sure if it's on the right track, but that's my short experience with them.
  18. November 2nd is the SCCA autocross fun event (last event of the year) just so you know. I know there is a pretty decent size group on here that autox's that may also want to dyno. Just FYI
  19. Well most European cars are limited to 155mph, they say they have more in them than that. Idk what the revs are, at 155mph in a European car.
  20. I'll agree with the forum comment, but parts are just as readily available for the Corolla's as a Honda and they are just as cheap. Corolla's are less of a cluster fuck to work on as well. I'll take a Toyota over a Honda anyday. My opinion having to work on both on a daily basis.
  21. Supra spun a rod bearing...but I bought it that way. Does that count? Motor is at the shop now getting the crank and block inspected for work. Hoping to have motor in by the end of November, but i won't expect it to run then.
  22. Right on, see you all there then I guess. Hopefully some more MR2's will be coming as well.
  23. Welcome, good to see some high mile cars running strong out there and still looking clean.
  24. Man 135i was booking around the track, how much of the track was straight with long sweeping turns? Did it say which track they were at?
