  1. I would take it to carmax and get a number. Then maybe take it back to the dealer she bought it from and see what they will give. From that point you have 2 solid offers on the table that would be a "money now" scenario. THEN try to put it on Autotrader and see what you get in response. If you have no bites in what you would consider a reasonable amount of time and the money is needed you would then resort to "plan B".
  2. Might swing by after a going away party for a friend...
  3. Seen that car around town, love the look with the E46 wheels. Welcome!
  4. M coupe......hottness. Welcome fellow auto-crosser
  5. That's a lot of truck. Not what I am into, but looks like fun.
  6. Why all the Audi hate? I don't understand, they really are nice cars. As silly as servicing them is, if it isn't under warranty they always pay well.....
  7. Dunno how dealerships do it, but in mitchell ondemand and alldata they BOTH list labor times for standard rate and warranty rate. So, in short, yes. It could be worse.
  8. Volvo V70R Wagon? AWD, Wagon, Turbo, I have never seen a manual one in person, nor do I know if they make them. Driven auto versions though, lots of fun.
  9. I personally would watch the coolant and drive it until it gets worse enough to verify.
  10. They are down the street from us most of their cars are auction cars. They have shitty body work shops fix them then they pout them on the lot. Their inventory changes by the second. We looked at a IS300 over there that had TERRIBLE body work done to it. Nice enough guys though. While we were there looking at cars on the front row of their lot the sales guy kept telling us that various cars were already sold? So I don't know.
  11. I looked at what Erica wanted I looked at my finances to determine how much I could spend without taking out a loan for it. I then took that number in mind and started looking for how I could put it together. Rather than buying the thicker band of diamonds as engagement, I bought a thinner one. I had a custom wedding band made for 1 side of it thus leaving the second side for an anniversary or other special occasion. In the end she will have the look she wanted, I did not go in debt for it and she is happy, which is what is important to me.
  12. Check Ebay for overstock? Sometimes buyers will buy out cheap wheels from stores then re-list them else-where. Tire rack discontinued tires I had on 1 of my cars and I found one on Ebay... Maybe worth a shot?
  13. From Schmo to TT Camaro Welcome!
  14. Absolutely not, just make sure not to pressurize it way past what the system is rated for. For example if you have a 15psi cap on your system I would pump it up to 15psi give or take a pound. You don't need to go crazy with it.
  15. Right on, so a pressure tester will be your friend then.
  16. How many miles are on the car. Does the ventilation problem correspond with the running issue?
  17. Well, where is it wet at? You have stated to us that you have had to add coolant, and that you noticed it on the driveway, but where is the bottom wet? IF it was a headgasket TYPICALLY it does not leak outside the motor, not saying it can't, but a majority of the ones I find are leaking b/w cylinders. Is there coolant under/around the crank pulley? Good start towards the water pump leaking, but you need to VERIFY not by hanging parts. I mean you could go on and on, but where do you physically see coolant under the car......ON the car, not the driveway.
  18. Dad had close to 80K on his company truck this year. I have no idea as I rotated driving between about 7 cars this year.
  19. IN for fancy air cooled beetle pics
  20. Agreed I HATE the "chassis" with a passion. I am still not a huge fan of most* kit cars. *couple exceptions
  21. Finished product doesn't look so bad to be honest.
  22. Need to look at a wiring diagram and find out where the tach get's it's reference from. If it's a camshaft/crank shaft position sensor then quite possibly you solved both problems. As that sensor may talk to the computer AND the instrument cluster. OR it may talk to the computer through the instrument cluster. Need a wiring diagram though first and go from there.
  23. Verify the problem before you replace a part. I saw Safelite spray soapy water around the window and blow air from the inside out looking for bubbles. We just have someone spray the car outside with a hose and have someone IN the car looking for the leak.
