I would say to quit fiddle farting around with this messed up wheel and just get a new one. Have they told you who is fixing the wheel supposedly? I am not asking you to name names, but do you at least know who they are outsourcing it to? I would not only want a new wheel, but I would also demand to keep the one they have apparently destroyed. No sense in leaving it with them to try and make a buck back on their own mistake.

At Bethel and Olentangy by Chipotle, Wendy's, KFC, etc....it's really new like last couple months.

When you say the brake switch works, you mean that it has brake lights correct? Sounds like you need a wiring diagram of the starting circuit. Otherwise it is all speculation on how the system works....yes cars generally have the same idea, but they all execute it in different ways. You need to see if the shift interlock gets power from the brake light switch and/or the ignition switch, which may explain your no-start if the ignition switch is messed up. Probably need to see if you are getting power on the reference wire at the starter from the ignition switch. Seeing as though the car should start regardless of whether or not the brake light switch is ok...unless the car thinks it is not in P/N for some reason. Wiring diagram needs to be obtained....

RUN AWAY The 3.6L is a 100K throw away. Oil sucking pig, ridiculous front suspension wear, cheap interior, everything inside it rattles. I was blown away with how shitty they are for being a Cadillac. GM really messed up on that one. Had 4-5 of them come in 4 quarts low on oil miss firing and throwing cam position sensor codes and the bottom of the motor is totally dry. Less than 100K on the odo. VW/Audi uses less oil than these things...

Normally I would say Rushman, but we have had a pretty bad stint with them getting back cars with issues. Apparently when they get busy they sublet your car without telling you and they regretted that with us since the other shop didn't put fluid back in a Mini Cooper trans, didn't tighten the sub-frame bolts, broke the shifter cables, etc.. We have gone back to A-Team transmission for the time being.

So Brandon, I suppose it would be best to start by buying a car than modifying. Do you want a Legacy or an Impreza? This will tell the above posters which motor to argue over. You should try to find one without rust at the back of the rear fenders, you should be looking for a car with minimal to no modifications. Thats my opinion as a MAJORITY of modified turbo Subaru's are hack job cars. Just my opinion based on what I have looked at. As far as head gaskets go, if taken proper care of, the DOHC motors are really good about keeping head gaskets and not needing them unless the coolant is not changed on time, it is over-revved, or any other DRIVER error that could result in blown head gaskets. This is presuming the car has been "stock", or lightly modified. For example I serviced head gaskets on a STi intercooler/turbo/injectors/exhaust modded WRX that was modified early on and made it until about 90K then had a miss-shift on track. If it wasn't for that they were dry as a bone on the outside. The SOHC motors like to eat them around 70-90K usually right before your timing belt service. Oh, by the way you should seek records of timing belt around the 105K mark on all motors. Spark plugs are every 30K on turbo DOHC motors. I presume you want a newer one and from what I have seen they do not have the rear wheel bearing failure rate that the older rear disc brake cars did. You should make sure that the car has 4 matching size/manufacturer and relatively equal tread tires as they are AWD. Thats all for now feel free to ask questions from a maintenance aspect to me. As I haven't quite evolved into the whole turbo car modification thing yet. Just servicing.

Battery spot is common 85% of them either have a hole or had a section welded in. Sounds like a super solid car. I'll mention it at the shop.

Yeah Dad has had a Craftsman for years and it has done well. It is getting tired now, but not to the point that it is broken. I am not totally opposed to Craftsman, just don't know what the other options are that people have success with. I will check out the Kobalt boxes, I think I was talking with someone about them at HD the one night...maybe Lance? I don't know if I want to wait or not, but I may take my current snap-on box home when I get a new one at the shop.

Cliffs at bottom of post. Reason: Looking for a tool box for home use. I am a Mechanic with a Snap-On box, I am looking for something much cheaper for home use. So, excluding MAC, Matco, Snap-On, Cornwell, and even Craftsman, does anyone use a box other than the above listed that is cheaper, or as cheap as a craftsman box? If so, what is the manufacturer? How long have you had it, how well has it held up? I would like something with ball bearing drawers. Just looking for some other options to explore. I need a fairly large box in size, and no a filing cabinet or any other random tool holder won't cut it lol. CLIFFS: Recommend a tool box cheaper than Craftsman that has ball bearing drawers and has held up reasonably well.
