  1. Oh, and your Super Beetle needs a water pump. EDIT; Miller, nice sig. If you PS'd it racing across a lake...
  2. Blown O-ring in the Canuter valve. A real bitch to change on *insert car model here*...
  3. You've got it. I wish you and yours all the strength you'll need to support each other in the near future.
  4. You think a partially-assembled engine on a stand makes a nice living-room centerpiece... You think your wifes oven would be fine for baking urethane into engine mounts.
  5. Sad fact is, there are people out there who are that stupid...I had to correct the same people dozens of times when driving the Tempo; "no, not a turbo, a supercharger". Automotive retardation is a growing problem in today's youth
  6. ...because Mayor Nagin didn't do his fucking job, ie; having a comprehensive evac plan in place. He let his constituents down, period. That, and the peoples' own inaction, doomed many residents of the city. The Governor did no better.
  7. Hopefully, it sterilized him. *Darwin smiles*
  8. The same dipshits who blame Bush & his "big oil buddies" for high prices. Go figure
  9. A weather-related price drop? I can answer that in 3 words; Ha ha ha! They don't have to "refine" natural gas. All they do is pipe it, store it, add a chemical so we can smell it, and sell it. Because they couldn't sell as much, they'll make up some bullshit excuse why they have to charge more for what they do sell.

http://www.sky.fm/ Gives my Winamp a decent workout when I'm not playing my own stuff.
  11. I have Craftsman, Snap-on, and even a few Mac tools, and I gotta vouch for them (Craftsman). I work on heavy trucks, and I beat the shit out of my tools when needed. The Craftsman stuff keeps coming back for more, though their ratchets could be a little tougher. For those, I've had good luck with S-K, Snap-on, and (believe it or not) Husky.
  12. Curiosity; I liked finding out how stuff worked, even as a child. I would take stuff apart, examine it, and *sometimes* put it back together lol. As the years went by, I started working on cars (mainly my brother's '72 and my bud's '69 Cutlasses), then took 2 years auto shop in High School.
  13. Big Muskie was, and I believe, still is the largest single-bucket digging machine ever built. Also the largest "walking" machine, as opposed to tracks. There may be larger, but like the one Brian posted, they are multi-bucket machines. I see they are moving that machine across a road; they've covered the asphalt with dirt to protect it. I wonder what the per-square-inch ground load is for that beast.
  14. Happy New Year!!! Time for another shot of Captain! 2007; the year I either hit 13s in my grocery getter, or kill it trying!
  15. The whole sign says "Central Ohio Coal", it removed overburden from an open-pit coal mine. I believe it was near Byesville. The bucket is now located near McConnelsville in the Miner's Memorial Park. That bucket's volume matches that of a 12-car garage...compare it's size in the pic to the actual machine! Google "Big Muskie", there are still some pics & info out there.
  16. You want big? http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/9853/muskie8headerds6.jpg Sadly, this incredible giant has been cut up for scrap. Only the bucket remains.
  17. Sounds like a cool, unique project, whichever route you take on the swap. The Titan motor sounds intriguing, but so does a tt 6-cyl! Good luck!
  18. Damn, I'd hit it 'til my dick bled...
