^^ this. Not sure what the Hondas driving record is like but the biker has two accidents and posted both. One not his fault but clearly at age 21 to have laid down a bike twice.....definitely not what I'd consider a safe/defensive driver. Also his reaction vs the others is not doing him any favors. Bike rider got what he deserved except for perhaps a ticket.

are we trying this case in the court of CR? I guess we are. Intention plays into this as the laws are going to be interpreted as to what a reasonable person would do. Given everyone on CR is 100% reasonable and never done this, the responses are predictable, but there's always entertainment in court. Do the facts support an intention to block the interesection and clearly not give a fuck? I don't think so. There were clearly several cars in gridlock with space between them and it could easiliy be argued that with a green light and right of way to enter the intersection, visible space ahead of the cars also in the intersection he made a reasonable decision to enter feeling he and the others would clear the intersection in time. Been there myself and will likely be there again. Were the results different, yes but he wasn't intentionally breaking the law thus to an LEO he could go either way with this. Ignorance does yield a way out but as noted, there's room for interpretation and an LEO has that ability. As to turning right, it's clear the guy wasn't trying to nor did he admit he was. He was simply intending to move over to the right to allow for cars to pass. Not what I would have done but is it reasonable? Leave that to a judge. Likely nothing unless there was some clear ass-hat behavior. I have however regularly seen Perry Township pull people over minutes later as the Sawmill/270 ramp is common place for this and right in front of their station. Sidewalk it. In this situation, there was plenty of room for cars to move and allow for an ER Vehicle to pass.

ORC 4511.712 reads pretty clearly but for those that don't understand it in laymans terms: No driver shall enter an intersection or marked crosswalk unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection, crosswalk, to accommodate the vehicle without obstructing the passage of other vehicles without them being held back by a traffic control signal indication to proceed. In this case the bike was being held back by a red light at the time the Honda crossed into the intersection. The bike was not given an indication or means to proceed until later. In the case of the white honda, he legally entered the intersection and had the right of way. Regardless of his ultimate "blocking of the box" the fact stands that any vehicle in the intersection has the right of way first even after the motorcycle received a green light. Want to argue that in court, it won't likely happen. My wife worked for the prosecutors office and in this instance even she said the cop was smart for not citing the Honda as it would do nothing and would get tossed/negotiated out in this case. Don't like it, then go work for the prosecutors office and see if you can make it stick. One could easily argue that based on the distances between the cars already present in front of him and the light being green at the time he entered that his judgement and intent was to clear the intersection. It's not just he didn't proceed with caution, he flat did not yield to the vehicle in the intersection. There's not allowance for a "small window". He has to yield to the Honda, no exception. His failure to do so is considered negligence and puts him at fault as the one who's actions caused the accident. In this case both are guilty of pure contributory negligence thus why neither driver was cited as at fault. The Honda for blocking the box and the bike for not yielding. Incorrect. There's no judgement call on either drivers part that enters into the equation. You must yield to the car in the intersection who entered said intersection on a green light. They have the right of way not you. Honk all you want, hit them and you're liable. If he has no where to go, tough. No one can touch him at that point if he's boxed in. A LEO could see him and cite him for a minor misdemeanor but overall if he can't move due to traffic, feel free to honk all you want if you hit him, your at fault. He's simply negligent for not clearing the intersection. it's called contributory negligence not split liability. they are both guilty of contributory negligence but the biker is far worse as he also failed to yield the right of way. meh....not wrong but not completely correct.

no cop to see it live in person and likely no ticket will be issued. in the end he was in the intersection with the right of way and anyone interfering with that which results in an accident like this dumb ass biker is the one who is breaking the law. I'm very surprised he wasn't cited. Although we don't really know if he was.

Just showed this to my son who LOL! He scripted it right away for the guy in the car: "really, really?" "Why would you gun it off the light towards cars trying to clear the intersection!!??" "you saw us in the intersection and tried to blast between us" Why? "What were you gunning it like that?" "you saw me in the intersection and you gunned it" "this is probably your 2nd accident" "Oh wait....yeah...you have them both on the you-tube too. Go figure" ^^ all that from a 12yr old. WOW!

Come visit the Sawmill 270 Ramp at rush hour and you'll see this a lot.

I see one big fucking idiot and it's the guy on the bike. Dude and others in the intersection are not at fault for the wreck. LOL at the bike for even remotely trying to blame the car. Especially the way he took off from the light. Douche. Got what he deserved.....his 2nd accident too which he seems proud of Looking at his youtube profile he's doing to die young. 2 bike wrecks and barely 21-22yrs old. Darwin awards line his garage. Drive a bit more defensively or you will be dead soon dude.

Get ride of grubs, clear area of dead grass and I've had great success with the appropriate blend of Scotts seed....the kind with the water retention crap around it. Sunny for sun areas, shade for under trees, etc. Key I have found is to lay a thin later of fresh top soil under it then use straw. I've tried other stuff to cover it up but straw seems to really work the best. They have bails of it that are meshed or sticks together more to make clean up really easy. I did this along the sides of my driveway after the new concrete drive was in place and within 3-4 weeks it was durable and strong grass. -
Looks like the microfibre with the buck-skin look. We have a set that is simliar and it looks really nice and holds up well. Love me the electric recliners in ours. You can power them from a couple batteries for a while too if power is an issue. Who makes this one?

Go see the docs I listed. Seriously. PM Me when you do. We can meet for lunch.

Nice work. However $18 is pretty steep. I usually buy a $40 5 gal. bucket of simple green and mix it up strong and it last me years. -
what is her main use of it for? both my kids have iPads and use them in school for notes and powerpoint creating. they use cloud storage for most everything and then can easily work on them here at home on their laptops too. my son is 11 and is very responsible. I trusted him with a laptop. My daughter who is 8 is responsible but still too young for one to lug around at school so she uses the iPad in an otterbox. By the looks of the case, I'm 300% glad I have it too.

This july will mark the 21st year post-broken back. I cracked 2 vertibre and blew L5S1 out to a 13mm displacement. Had a laminectomy done in 1994 and was fine with in the first three months. Doctor told me that if I was safe and didn't fuck around and cause an injury to it in the following 5 years I would heal just fine. Did that and have been great since. To this day I won't "workout" with heavy heavy weights, nothing over my head lifting for sure and no golf and unfortunately 1994 ended my martial arts training. 12+ yrs of enjoyment and fun and it ended in a moment. I've had two MRI's since, latest one about 10yrs ago thinking I reinjured it but it was simply a tweak from trying to lift too heavy of a box on my own. Now I'm just careful. What happens is scar tissue forms and when by tweak I mean the scar tissue rubbed or inflamed the surrounding area. 1 week of rest and I was fine. Not a day goes by that I'm not mindful of the injury though. Good luck man. I'm in my mid 40's now and if that had happened now I'm not so sure I'd heal as easily. I've been taking the OTC Sam-e daily for about 10 years. 1000% improvement on flexibility and reduction of any stiffness in the morning. I won't likely ever stop it. $1/day for 100% relief from anything and its worth it. Look into it. My surgery and treatment is through Neurological Associates on Ackerman Road. Great docs. Dr. Sigurdur Stephensen did the surgery and Dr. Burkhart Is who treated me on follow ups. I send Stephensen a Christmas card every year. He literally saved me from being in wheelchair after my accident. Edit: Haha! I found my notes and bills, etc. that I have scanned. My journal for the first three months was an interesting read. Took my about 1 month to be able to stand with no pain or numbness in my leg.

to overcome a fear and feel a rush like no other. for me anyway. now there's one less fearful thing in life for me. can't beat them nor will I attempt them all, but this one is off my list.

^^ in tandum sure...but solo without a chute....points for style and speed.
-
I did it last summer and it was a blast. Tandum is kinda weird but the reality is I probably would shit my pants on my own without a few tandums under my belt. Wife was worried, but worse case even if you were going to die, you could go for style and speed and in the end know that you probably won't feel much or at least not for long right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True, but you're a law abiding citizen that isn't exactly being completely transparent and it's fair to say that you would not be doing yourself any favors by not being completely open and honest. Just because you aren't required doesn't mean it's the most wise decision. Personally I look to take away any reason for an LEO to give me crap....or feel threatened by me. YMMV. LEO's put their life on the line every day. It's the nature of their job and hardly what I'd call "nothing." I wouldn't exactly say they are worked up either, I'd call it being prepared and wearing their game face. Just because you have a Conceal and Carry License doesn't mean you couldn't also be a criminal. Your last statement is exactly why you should say something. Most bad-guys wouldn't announce themselves as carrying thus when you don't say something.....back to your point about LEO's being "worked up" .......that's why. Saying nothing isn't exactly presenting yourself up-front and safe. No fifth degree here either, just providing my opinion. IMO Trish has the best reply thus far. We both had a good trainer around that though Joe...you 'da man.
