  7. You can't go wrong with the VQ. Not sure how the build quality of the G's are, but for the money they seem decent.
  8. I just read through that diet. Sounds similar to some others I've read about but this one mixes things up for the week which I like. If I can drop 10-15lbs in 2 weeks, I'll be in heaven. We are hitting a beach vacation every 1-2 months this year with this being our first, so I'm fired to make a difference if I can. Thanks!
  9. Don a quality nitrous set up and don't tell anyone shit. Profit on some call outs and buy a turbo with said money.
  10. Sell your car and buy Brian's so he can Join the Mustang club.
  11. I've never, ever been a runner except in the days when I played sports and even then it was primarily based on that sports need. However, since I hit an all time new weight and needed to trim down I took up using our pricey treadmill that has been decorating the workout are of our lower level and I'll be damned if it's not helping quite a bit. I've been casually lifting over the past year and have no doubt added some muscle, but in the last 30 days I've lost about 1" around my waist and leaned up a bit overall. No doubt I have a long way to go to get back into my 32's but the progress is in motion. What has really helped me and I thought I'd share for others that may be interested is training with an iPhone app (likely on android too) called 5k Runner. I'm about 1/2 way through and love it. It gradually gets you going farther; you pick the speeds. I walk at 2.5-30mph and run at 6mph. I don't plan on doing marathon or anything, but it would be nice to see if I can get to the 6-7mph range for 6 miles or so. That's my goal in 2012 anyway. Hope the above helps others looking for an easy training method for knocking off some lbs on the treadmill or as the soak up sunshine outside.

  13. The MKII is a recent pick up I made having found it with low use locally. Bought it mainly for low light events that I shoot. Everyday walk around though, I still use my 40D 90% of the time. Movie wise I'll never use it for that. Yes it does autofocus, but there's no continuous focus option and to be honest the focus is so slow. It's a nice evolving feature, but outside having DOF which of course if very nice, it sucks. Especially when compared to an actual video camera. If I were to do video production work, I'd drop $4-5k on an entry level Panny. The drawbacks are 12mins. in 1080P mode Works only in Live View Mode Sound is Mono Only, and it picks up even the slightest noises, like lens IS, aperture changing and lenses autofocusing. Even my USM lenses cause sounds to bleed through. You wouldn't notice it at say a kids recital, but then the sound is mono and again, I like to hear the full 5.1 my Sony HD Cam captures there. Even Canon recommends and external mic. Overall though, the camera is amazing. I still use my 1DMKII for sports though as while the 5 series is nice, sports isn't it's forte.
  14. I'm not a video guy but it looks legit. I've seen a standard car tire hop the wall on 270 as it got booted by a semi. Had me wondering WTF it hit on the other side.
  15. What the heck do you need 3-4 cars for? The CTS-V would make a bad-ass DD'er and fun toy as you could mildly mod it and have a track car simply by swapping tires. I'll have one soon. I only play around keeping the Mazda as it's paid for and a fun in a Jekyll and Hyde way compared to the company limo.
  16. yep, that's a winner. now just open up that DOF just a stop more and warm that shot up a bit in PP'ing and bingo! you have PM on it.
  17. One from the farm when the fog rolled in this afternoon. Old Sony DSC-717 Bridge Camera http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg378/pdqgp/January2012.jpg
  18. How is the CTS-V not practical? I love the new Mustangs and an see doing the auto myself. More consistent and just as fast. Fun factor might not be there as much in terms of feeling connected to the car, but it's really all owner specific. Overall though, just me looking at it, it's more of a lateral move for you. I mean, IMO the cars are on par outside one being older. If it were me, I'd look to make a move up and get something that puts you at the next level. Not sure if you follow what I mean.
