The world has freaks in it, thus I believe it. What I can't figure out is how whoever posted it came across it. I perhaps don't want to know either.

^^ this. Honestly, I'd recommend you not post it up that way, at least not outside CR. Be careful during any conversations too. -
You know the kind you had in college that they don't make anymore.... Let me know if you have one that's in good shape. Thanks. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21m59bJ6TzL._SS400_.jpg

Here are a few samples I have posted before shot with the same/simliar set up. These were done with a white/nuetral background and the ones you see were added in Photoshop. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/130617871/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/130320812/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/140457240/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/140457271/original.jpg

Wide open possibilities here, but I'll toss one out to begin with. It also depends on what you're going to shoot? I'd look at the following to get you started: Go with 45" umbrellas. You can go smaller, but they are a key factor in good even lighting and larger is better. Photoflex or Photogenic 40-45" umbrellas go for about $25. If you want a shoot-thru umbrella, the 42" Westcott collapsible is one of the best for the money. I have 8' stands that I picked up for about $35. Again, solid product and they collapse for carrying. Umbrella adapters for the stands will cost you about $15 each. If you want some complete packages, here are a couple ones from B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/425220-REG/Impact_DFUMK_Digital_Flash_Umbrella_Mount.html http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/621577-REG/Interfit_STR120_STR120_Twin_Umbrella_Kit.html You can fabricate your own sandbags to hold the stand steady if you're going to be out and about. I use them all the time as you never know when someone is going to bump them. Use old angle weights for working out and save yourself $30-$40 If you're looking into portraits you might also want to get hair light set up. Here too, you can save a few bucks and fabricate your own counterweight (depending on your set up) Here's a basic set up from a few years back driven by some external speedlights. You can also fabricate a Home Depot setup which is what I will often just setup and leave standing for weeks on end, depending on what I'm doing in my work area on the lower level. I've spent all kinds of money playing around with setups including some Alienbee lights, strobes, etc.... In the end, I can get the same results with all kinds of equipment and have sold off stuff I no longer use. It's a fun hobby but can easily become expensive, so start small and master each step. http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg378/pdqgp/Lighting1-1.jpg

Ha! I've been giving the polling calls that come in from all the candidates to my 5yr old daughter as I feed her lines to say :gabe: Had one tonight actually stay on for about 2 minutes trying to get her to give "mommy or daddy the phone" :lolguy:

Not specifically for V day as timing isn't perfect, but we will be enjoying the beach in February. One of many beach vacations we absolutely are going to enjoy this year. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=3328

That will be remembered for years to come :lolguy:

I'd buy existing. WAY too many homes on the market with upgrades and additions and it's a buyers market. You might be able to save on a new build but the value you'll get in an existing will be greater. An easy example is to consider a fence and decent patio area which will easily run you 5-8k and most homes you'll look at will already have them. I'm not sure of your financial situation but I'd look into those in trouble too. Wife and I have flipped more than a couple she's found at auction/bank sales. Point being you can easily find a home that would normally list at $350 for $200-250-275.

What's not the officers decision? I've yet to hear about an officer being trained not to shoot to kill. If they pull their gun, you best believe when they fire it isn't to just to disable you. I think he was completely in line with diffusing the situation. It doesn't matter how many times he fired. If the suspect was still on his feet, he was still threat and warranted more shots. Just my expert opinion :gabe: -
Are you at the one with the Sundial rotating restaurant at the top? The Marriott is right next door.

You must be staying at some shitty locations then as I do quite a bit more travel per year than that and while I'm mainly a Marriott first Hilton Second guy, I do my share of Sheraton's and have to say the experience is completely the opposite. You can't judge a hotel based on having free wifi and continental breakfasts. Those are for the average folks where honestly, Sheraton caters to business travelers. Those of us with expense accounts and mobile hot spots don't care what either cost. Yes, if you're traveling on your own dime, do Garden Inn's or other Suites. However, we just took the kids and cousins on a "stay-cation" at the Hilton up at Polaris just to get away and have fun (I have over 500k in points so it was all free) and it's a very nice hotel with the rate for members at only $119. That's a steal for what they offer there. Scope out the location and pics online ahead of time and you'll find better ones.

Ford. They run forever and even the mid 80's ones floating around are solid.

It all started with that Damn Elvis and the whole rock-n-roll movement of the 50's. America should have been better.

Perhaps one of my favorite types of work. Once you build in some actions that address the problems, things go very quickly. Not perfect yet but it's only a quick two passes. I don't think the number of shots matters at all. That close and in the hands of a trained officer, he could and likely did put the typical two shots into the guy which would have killed him. He was obviously high as hell thus why his body didn't fall right away. So he put 8 more rounds in him, does it really matter? Guy was a dead man either way. It's not like the cops are going to shoot to wound. Cliffs: 2 or 10 shots, doesn't matter, cops made the decision to put him down permanently. Training kicked in and the officer saw him just as he would a target at the range and saved the day and tax payers money. I downloaded the vid to my HD if it gets removed. -

Thankfully no dogs were hurt this day. In regards to the bad guy....not a fuck was given in my house. -
WOW! New member with some talent and proof to back it up! Love it. I wish I had the time, skills and tools and overall talent to do that stuff. What I do in photoshop you do in real life. Thumbs up. Can't wait to see more. Funny thing is I'm a product of the 80's and my good friends in high school had the original version of your car as a DD'er back then. Takes me back in time. Now they are both Hollywood producers and likely never touching an F-Body :lolguy:

I'll give Obama credit for one thing. The man is a great public speaker. That reminds me, I have to get back to attending Toastmasters. Otherwise, I hope he kept his house in Chicago.
