Usenet has been along since the internet started. It is a real basic electronic bullet board sort of like CR. You have to pay someone like astraweb for access to use their servers to read and download the attachments. Each post you can make on usenet allows you to upload a small file. A large download is probably hundreds and hundreds of different attachments so using an NZB file is just 1 file that points to all of them. Use nzbmatrix as a search engine to find what you want to download. Use grabit to read the NZB file and download everything automatically.

This is exactly what I do. Protip If you configure Grabit it will auto parcheck and extract the compressed file(s) after it finishes downloading. Always cool to go to bed and wake up with everything downloaded and already unrared.
