Absolutely get it tuned to wake up the LTS. Step one for me was LTs, Borla exhaust and LPE CAI + tune. That got me to 318.7 rwhp 337 rwtq. The next step was Heads, Cam and Fast 90 all at once. My last step was the torque converter. So with your setup at least go to a good CAI also. The stock exhaust you have is ok but can be improved on cause its crimped in a few spots and the H pipe isn't functional. My Borla is is only 2.25 inches the same as the stock so you don't need to got to a 3 inch to get a good setup. As far as I've seen no NA LS1 A4 has higher rwhp numbers then mine so the Borla smaller diameter isn't restricting me as some would say. You can jump right to a cam without heads but...my cam was a custom grind and was done knowing exactly what was going on the car and as such my 224/228 produces more then larger cams that people have installed. I've seen a lot of people do a cam first then heads later and not end up with good results because they didn't match up as well.

Stock is 3.46. The only other's available are 3.73 (usally A4) and 3.91 (usally M6)

Thanks Steve the air was great today! I got a top MPH of 119.94 on another run also a best.

According to LS2gto.com there's only 10 stock bottom 6.0 NA cars that have turned in a better time, and only 5 NA 5.7. so the difference between 6.0 and 5.7 is really pretty small after modding heads and cam. I'm using the stock gears. ...oh and my time is the best of all 04-06 NA GTOs in Ohio.

Finally not a bad time for a NA LS1 dragging 3750 lbs. 11.7681 @ 118.12 1.653 It was all in the 60 ft today. My next best was a 11.89. Don't think anyone could get a consistent launch today...but one is all it takes. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/GTO1/NewPb1176.jpg

I just read something interesting on another site that posted about the Pinks All Out that was just filmed in Tuscon. The guy that posted said he was running low 10s but didn't get picked because for this episode they picked cars that were running around 12.5. So it seems like after all the cars run they pick the time they want for that day and the cars that ran it are the ones in the show not the cars that ran the fastest. So this guy posting was all kind of pissed at the selection format ....but I kind of like it. LOL

We’re going to accept pre-registration of 400 cars, then the door closes and there will be no more entries. Starting on Monday, December 3rd, Summit Motorsports Park will begin accepting pre-registered entries for Pinks All Out. Registration will be ongoing until we reach the mandated 400 cars, then no more entries will be accepted. Pre-registration fees will be $40.00 for car and driver. We can think of no better way to highlight our racers than to give you the chance to be a TV star. With that volume of screaming fans, it also holds the potential for one of the most fun events of the year! If you’re one of those that have only seen the show on TV, plan to come out and see the show live. You never know where the camera will be pointed!

D42 has it's last test and tune next Saturday...so maybe we'll get some decent weather. Otherwise I'll be getting the car ready to sit until spring

First we need Cinncy to beat West Virginia tonight or UConn to beat them next week. Then the three Big 12 teams have to beat up on each other and of course LSU lose in the SEC championchip game. ...thats all.

Now this was priceless. LOL http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=70520&stc=1&d=1195337621

I'll be there again. Sunny skies. High 42F and low 27F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. ...sounds burrrrrrfect. http://bestsmileys.com/winter/23.gif

...at Norwalk! This will be a must attend event. http://www.summitmotorsportspark.com/main-news1/four-new-events-on-the-smp-schedule/

A very fine rain started to fall down just as they opened the staging lanes. I tried one run but got nothing but wheel spin off the line so I aborted and went down the track at about 45 mph. That was it. The rest are on their way home.

Laurinaitis = most overrate player in college football. He lost this game because he didn't stay at home and cover the run up the middle. That's two games in a row teams have run right through his area of responsibility.

I'm going again this weekend.

Not close. LOL Dragway 42: 1,100' Summit Motorsports Park: 853'

I went up last Saturday to D42 and it was just alright. Mainly an even mix of DR and street tire cars. I also went up to Norwalk on Sunday and set a new PB of 11.92. Had three other runs in the 11's too. They open the gates at 9 and start racing at 10. I have never seen a test and tune prepped like it was. They to start they preped the entire track, did a lot of fixing every hour and repreped at noon. There were a lot of 9 and 10 second slick cars there, which is why they probably worked so hard to keep the track so good. Very very few cars with street tires were there. I could drive up to the staging lanes at any time and never had more then a three car wait. If you want to chase your best time I'd say make the longer trip up to Norwalk on Sunday. ...the only thing is that Saturday's weather looks better right now so D42 may be the only place that opens this weekend. I might try to go to both again though this weekend.
-
...correction. The gates open at 8:00 tomorrow morning.
-
I'm game for that. Friday at dragway 42 I had a couple of 12.0s so was really close to my PB. I did get my first 1.6 60s so if the conditions are good I'll get this pig into the 11s again.

I'm talking the BCS Championship Bowl game not one for the also rans.
-
Your on some serious drugs if you think UConn could play with OSU. I doubt that teams like UConn are playing their third string teams in the third quarter like OSU has been. Prediction: Big East does not represent in THE BCS bowl this year...or likely ever.
-
Yes it's with the BuckeyeGoats sister site BuckeyeStangs also. There are 4 spots open as of right now...a few cars are coming up not in race shape. As a moderator of BuckeyeGoats I can add you to the list immediatly ...all it takes is a PM.

That sucked cause I was in that one too. Fools increased the price the closer it got to the date instead of lowering it when they only got 20 some cars entered. At least my credit card was credited within days of the cancellation. If anymore spots open for the 15th I'll post them here as soon as I know about them.
