Rains finally made it. It just started pouring up here.

I think thats what it might take as long as we rotate the tracks being used. I wouldn't mind driving a bit to get to some as long as others are held closer and it evens out. I would have gone on the 10th but I'm already racing that day as are some others, and Pontiac Nationals are my number one must attend event each summer. It's been awfully hard to get people to commit this year. As you know its a real bitch chasing people for money. I know the rental fees went up a little but really not that much compared to things like gas. I'm seeing 30-40 car rentals in other parts of the country charging $100 ... now for that I could see having a problem getting cars but we've not even been close to that.

Mallott Cars just had a twin turbo LS7 Solstice at Back Street Performance about a month ago to be tuned .... guess where it was being shipped. Same place. The buyer obviouly wanted a few spare motors on hand. Sand is hell on turbos. LOL

It cost me $3000 to rent Quaker City for 6 hours in May. That was for an unlimited number of cars and the track prepped the full length. 60 cars at $40. D42 is rented this month and National Trails is rented next month. I'd say we are on our way to 1 per month but we have to have cars signup or this won't continue very long.

Just great...George was legally drunk and they have witnesses to street racing. This is going to go really good with the recent arrests. Some politician is licking his chops right now to make a name for himself as the guy thats going to bring down street racing.

The Associated Press picked up the story. The Cleveland Plain Dealer ran it today but they buried it pretty deep. 4th page in the Meto section. It says "the group races apparently were arranged through an Internet message board devoted to amateur racing". ...well at least CRs name didn't get trashed nationally.

The only strip that may be built soon is the one in Mansfield. ...maybe these guys will realize, after their jail sentences are up...and I see some getting the full sentence since it was organized and a repeat performance, that they should have signed up for the track rental. It certainly would have been cheaper.
