  1. On a side note. I think this would be a great way to promote Columbus Racing. They probably would do a feature if we go together as an organized group. Pinks All Out did a feature on GONE (GTOs of the North East) when they promoted themselves at that event.
  2. Didn't see this posted yet NHRA, producers of popular drag racing show announce agreement to produce media properties Thursday, January 07, 2010 NHRA and producers of the popular drag racing show Pinks, Stephen Pullin and Jack Schaeffer, have agreed to create, develop, and produce media properties, including new racing competitions, new events, and television programs. The first project, NHRA Unleashed, will celebrate pure American horsepower in an interactive festival environment. Pullin and Schaeffer’s Disrupt/ive Studios and NHRA will explore and develop innovative properties focused on wide-open, wheelstanding, heads-up competition embracing the car enthusiast, the roots of NHRA. NHRA Unleashed is the first of these properties to be staged in 2010, in Atlanta; Indianapolis; Hebron, Ohio; and Gainesville. A schedule of events is listed below. The plan is to expand NHRA Unleashed to other premier drag racing facilities in the United States in 2011. “We have been working for several months with Stephen, Jack, and the team at Disrupt/ive Studios to create this unique relationship,” said Tom Compton, NHRA president. “We are excited about creating new entertainment media properties and developing entertaining, interactive events aligned with television programming that highlight the foundation of NHRA, the grassroots racer and car enthusiast.” NHRA Unleashed will provide a fully interactive experience for spectators and participants, embracing a new breed of drag racing enthusiast looking for pure, doorslammer heads-up competition on the track, ranging from the 10.5 Outlaw to the 13-second weekend warrior, and a festival environment off the track. At an NHRA Unleashed event, everyone and everything is part of the show, which will feature heads-up, no-index racing on the track; interactive events, including Kart Track and Autocross activities; and the traditional car show, car/parts swap meet, and car corrals. The drag racing format on the track will have the sole purpose of highlighting competition for the pure heads-up grassroots competitors in the country, vying for the coveted Wally trophy. Each event will be as much a regional happening as it will be a drag racing event and will include exhibition runs by a variety of race vehicles. “We want to develop events and broadcast programs that capture the sport, lifestyle, culture, and original brand of NHRA Drag Racing,” Pullin said. “We believe the NHRA Unleashed event embodies everything we are looking to create jointly, a celebration of pure American horsepower.” Further details on NHRA Unleashed will be announced later in January. In addition, NHRA and Disrupt/ive Studios intend to make announcements in the coming months about additional creative ideas and proposals currently in the planning process. 2010 NHRA Unleashed schedule June 11-13: Atlanta Dragway, Atlanta Aug. 6-8: O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Indianapolis Sept. 10-12: National Trail Raceway, Hebron, Ohio Nov. 5-7: Gainesville Raceway, Gainesville
  3. I was wondering if you had gotten a call. Seems if you got to the drivers form it saved the info even if it didn't let you pay.
  4. So what did they do? email you cause the drivers info was recorded? So now they asked for the credit card info?
  5. The credit card screen was actually the same screen that had asked if you for a username and password to tix.com it's just that until the drivers info had been filled out it was programmed to hide the credit card fields. That continue button was probably supposed to take you back to that screen. I just went there manually. ...anyways there are probably a lot of people that got cheated out of a spot because they hadn't tested the site very well. I'm guessing though that Summit has quite a few extra spots that they reserved from the public...just like last time. With the site screwing up that count probably went up some.
  6. So yes I got my ticket....again. Pays to be a web site architect I guess. lol ...and yes Summit's web site is one of the biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen. When I got that error after entering the driver info I tried it again several times by refreshing the browser to reset that form...but whatever web page that continue button was pointing to IMO probably hadn't been set up with the correct security and so it couldn't been found. The thing was that when I went back to the first page there was a timer counting down to say how much time I had left to finish the transaction. There was less then 5 minutes left so I'm guessing that everyone got about 10 minutes. I used 3 computers 1 XP Pro, 1 Vista Ultimate, 1 Windows 7 .... The Windows 7 machine got me in almost immediately at 12:00.
  7. You soooooooo screwed up. The same thing happended to me .... but then I hit the back button on the browser to go back to the page that asked if you had an account or to sign up to the ticket site. This time it asked for my credit card and confirmed that I had bought a drivers ticket. Got a e-mail confirmation from them then.
  8. "Provides that any person who purchases nitrous oxide at retail in Ohio who uses nitrous oxide in a motor vehicle that the person operates on a public road, street, or highway in Ohio is guilty of falsification, a misdemeanor of the first degree." At least for part of this, you guys that use nitrous have missed the hole in the law that is the obvious way to get around it. ... let a friend that does not have nitrous buy it for you then they can't use "falsification" as a charge if you are stopped. It specifically says "retail" sale ... so it you by it from a friend it's not.
  9. Here you go. The price went up a little I think but at least if you can't make it you can get a refund this time. PINKS ALL OUT ENTRIES INCREASED TO 425! 10. I was in the Pinks All Out in 2008. If it's like last time, there will be a link on the Summit Motorsports Park web site to buy the tickets on-line. ...otherwise I'm guessing that you just call the parks main number. (419) 668-5555
  11. As posted today: PINKS All Out participant deadline Ok, all of you Hollywood hopefuls, here’s your chance for fame and glory! On August 27th, 2010, PINKS All Out returns to Summit Motorsports Park, and once again you’ll have the chance to be on national television! Anyone interested in participating in this long awaited event can get ready to man the phones or the internet, because that’s the only way you can get a shot at the seasons most anticipated night. In just over a week, on Monday, December 7th at 12:00 noon, we will open the phone lines and the website for the first 400 entries. Those lucky 400 will be eligible to become part of the PINKS All Out program. The last time Summit Motorsports Park hosted this show, the allotted 400 entries were sold out in 12 minutes! What does that mean to you? It means that you had better be waiting with the telephone in your hand at 11:59am on December 7th, or plan on buying a spectator seat and watching everyone else, because there won’t be any spots left. Don’t be left out of your only chance to be a part of this nationally televised program! We will have a full compliment of spectator tickets to this great show, and some wild entertainment to go along with the PINKS All Out program. We’ll be letting you know all about those details in the days to come, but today we want to make sure that those of you who want to be part of the on-track action need to be aware that you’ll only have one shot at this, so be prepared. We don’t want to see anyone left out, but there has to be a limit. So be prepared to get your call or your web-based entry in the minute the clock strikes 12:00 noon!
  12. Got a couple of 11.5s early on then spent the rest of the day working on different things to try to bring my 60 ft down.

    Well

People you need to sign up. D42 was hooking great today. I set a new PB of 11.5059 @ 122.36 1.6171 ... and yes this is NA Backed that with runs of 11.527 @ 122.33 1.6201 11.543 @ 122.00 1.6191 11.544 @ 122.33 1.6262 11.556 @ 121.33 1.6441 11.566 @ 121.64 1.6053 11.566 @ 121.53 1.6322 11.577 @ 121.93 1.6519 Damn good day. The car was running very consistent.Last week we, for the first time, logged some runs and found that my 2 and 3rd shifts were in the 5700-5800 range. We raised it 200 rpms and I started recording my lowest split times ever. I'm sure we can find some more things to adjust if we do some more logging. I also switched to Hoosier drag radials since my MTs were shot. Now if I can get that 60 ft down. I may need to change stalls since this one only lets me launch at 2000 rpm. ...suggestions welcome. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/GTO1/GTO1_115.jpg

...in my office. It's the only car forum I belong to that I can't get to at work now. The IT director has been on a firewall security kick the last month and about 10% of the sites I try to get to come up restricted now.
  17. By the way the temps were between 39 and 42 degrees the two hours I was running and the launching was excellent. So things should be fine for the rental. However, last night all the faster cars had to stop running around 8:30 because the humidity jumped up to 89% and everything started to get a heavy layer of dew on it and the track got real slick. If the sun had been up everything would have stayed ok. The DA calculated to -150 when I got my PB and was -750 at 10PM when they closed. Too bad I couldn't take full advantage of it. I'm guessing it would have gotten me real close to the 11.49 mark.
  18. That was a new Challenger. lol
  19. Lots of new PBs tonight and finally got into the 11.5s at D42 tonight. 11.5719 122.24 @ 1.5939 60 PB: 1.5939 1/8 mile PB: 7.3819 1/4 mile PB: 11.5719 1/4 MPH PB: 122.68 Blew away my old best ET of 11.686 and the only changes this year was my svede1212 OTRCAI, going MAFless and a SD tune. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/GTO1/Best2009_small.jpg
  20. I've run there at 40 degrees...maybe a little less.
  21. Sounds like the actuator is bad. Just had one replaced on my 2009 Silverado today.
  22. Great pic of my car too ... thanks Steve.
