  1. Wraps look a lot better and cleaner if they're trimmed under the molding. But as everyone has said before it depends on what the point is. They're quicker than paint but still lacking in quality conpaired to a decent diy paint job. Its much eaiser to hid the overlap in a busy design too. If you're going flat or solid colored it won't come out the way most think it would. Plus unless its on a garage queen they fade out after so many years. Most wraps are intended for 2-5 years at best under everyday wear and tear. You would be suprised what some wet sanding and respraying clear can do for you too if done properly
  2. Sure man always room for another. My buddy and stoney are fairly fresh, I've been riding for a while so it would be fun to get a bit of a mix of experience going. I'm not one for a huge group but 5-6 is aways a bit more entertaining. Pm me and ill show you and stoney a few places up this way that can be fun for an hour or 2
  3. Usually they're stapled/riveted in place. It might have an underside seal plate as well. I would imagine its very similar to a motorcycle seat. Theres all kinds of videos on YouTube for how to re-cover them. You can buy a bulk strip of vynle at joann fabrics. Just make sure you warm up the vynle in the dryer to make it plyable get some spray on glue, staple gun (if that's how its attached) small tachammer, something to scuff the foam with (scotch brite pad works well) and a blow dryer. Pull the old cover off. Scuff the foam, apply glue to foam, staple new vynle down and start heating and stretching it until it forms around the curves of the foam (You might have to pull some staples and re stretch areas to achieve this) tap the staples with the tachammer to insure they're seated properly. I use 6mm (short) staples always turns out well for me (motorcycle seats though) usually only costs about 20-30 bucks to get a decent looking seat back on it.
  4. Definitely down as soon as I get the paint finished. Only off on sundays though....
  5. Mine wasn't really loud at all, I used a cherry bomb 2.5in glass pack finished off with a down pipeit sounded throaty but not too noisy definitely not a fart can. Tbe best part was how well you could hear the turbo spool
  6. Im from Delaware myself. A buddy of mine and I run this trip quite a bit. Small hour long cruise that's on some back roads through the country. Start out on OH-203 head north toward Prospect. Just before you get into town, Hang a left onto River Rd/Gast Rd. Head south until it dead ends at OH-37. Turn left then Right onto Hodges Rd. This will dead end into Warrensburg Rd. Turn right and follow it tbrough Warren Rd (vearing left at the bridge) this will dead end at OH-36. Turn left then right onto Klondike rd follow it through the light (turns into OH-257 South) Turn left onto Home Rd. Then left again onto South Section Line Rd. This will bring you back into Delaware. If the narrow, back roads isn't your thing you could always head into Prospect, Hang a left on OH-47 and another left onto OH-257 for a faster sweeping curves ride. Another trip we take quite a bit is heading up Horseshoe Rd. (Off of OH-42 North toward Ashley) it dead ends at OH-229. Turn right onto 229 and take it through Ashley to the OH-61 intersection. Turn right onto 61. Turn rightonto Kilbourne Rd it dead ends into OH-521. Head straight and turn left onto Hogback Rd or onto South Old State Rd. Either one will cross OH-36/37 you can head back into town or turn left. If you turn left, turn right onto Africa Rd for some more rolling Curves. Turn right onto Lewis Center Rd then Right on OH-23. This trip is full of long straight stretches to get a bit more "spirited" with some nice rolling curves you can throttle through. My buddy is still fairly fresh to riding as well so these where good practice runs for him and I could still stay interested with the trip as well. They're no tripple nickle but they're close by. I'm always looking for new people to join us so if you're up for it you're welcome to tag along this season.
  7. If you're just looking for a bit of fun without all the gripe from the safety crew head up to larue. Not the best track but they're pretty lax wearing full leathers. Obviously if you're planning on going faster than 10.5 12X mph it would be foolish not to have them. But if you're just looking to have fun on your bike at the track larue is a nice mellow place to get some practice runs in. Plenty of time to make passes and its cheap. Just my .02
  8. Whatever you decide to do with the exhaust make shure it is a straight flow through. I ran into a bit of a scare when mine loaded up and decided to blow the muffer appart. Sounded like a shotgun going off insidethe cab lol. I use to have a pic of the muffler. It looked like I tried to shoot a golfball through the back flange hahahahaa!!! Glass packs are cheap and keep this from happening
  9. The motor was swapped into an 89 ranger. I do believe it still has the mozda trans in it I don't recall.
  10. It was stock with 35lb injectors and msd brand o/e replacement. Non-intercooled I fabbed a pice of 90* 2.5 or 3in exhaust pipe (i dont recall) the bov mount bracket welded and sealed on it. Not the best choice to run but it beats the hell out of the factory cork of an intercooler. If you want a consistant hastle free 12.xx I woukd stop by turboford.org there is a sponsored aftermarket web site with complete kits for this motor. http://www.stinger-performance.com/ Invest in the tubular headder and a bigger turbo something like a 35r and some 42lb injectors. Get yourself a decent front mount intercooler and set the boost around 25psi. The stock headgasket is good for that if you're not pushing full boost 24/7. There's a lot of guys running these things on a megasquirt set up. Hell there's even a guy on turboford that builds them plug and play into the factory ecu box. They use to go for $600 idk if the prices have changed. Invest in those few things. And you'll love yourself for it lol.
  11. Best run I made was 12.9 on my stock turbo at 20 psi. Was on my way to 12.5 but my charge pipe blew off (clamp slipped). Blew the turbo about a month later. Haven't really messed with it since. 89 ranger 28x10.5 slicks, 8.8 posi rear w/ 3.73 gears, open 2.5 in exhaust bov and a boost controller everything else is stock from an 84 svo. They have the potential to be wicked fast with not much expence in parts.
  12. Hey guys probably a long shot. But I'm looking for a pair of 16inch steel wheels for the girlfriend's car. She bent a coupe of hers when she was forced off the road the other day. They have to be the five lug wheels anything from 2007 and newer should fit.
  13. Now if you're running anything less than 10 sec. You'd be stupid not to have full gear, but thats another story
  14. Lol pretty much. Actually they're pretty lax on t&t night. As long as you have full gear doesn't have to be full leather race gear but as long as you're wearing a jacket, gloves that cover the knuckles, boots above tge ankle, long pants, and a dot approved helmet they'll let you run. Hell, I went a few weeks back and I was wearing blue jeans boots flingerless gloves and a padded kevlar-meash jacket and they didn't say a thing. They don't run tech inspection either. As long as you're not leaking, you're good.
  15. Tried getting something together a couple of fridays ago only to find out the track was closed, will be braving the cold and taking the bike back up tonight for some shenanigans. If you're up for running the up hill battle come on up lol. Gates open at 6 runs start at 6:30 $10 per person driving or spectating, kids get in free (12 & under)
  16. Closed this weekend never mind
  17. I have a 1989 ranger up for sale, complete but having issues, it has a 2.3L turbo motor and 5spd trans, will bolt to any 5.0L block pattern
  18. Any ideas if they'll be running the wet boxes off busch this year? CPD has been cracking down quite a bit the last few years, but I'm sure there's still a few hot spots around. Anyone know of any?
  19. I've got a kel-tec P3AT if you're interested Send me a pm and we'll talk
  20. I know you said you where firm on your price but if you'll take $100 cash ill take em. Shoot me a pm and we can set something up.
  21. I have all kinds of odds and ends stuff probably be easier to see what you would be looking for and I could give you a list of what I have.
  22. Anything your looking to trade for?
  23. Cash in hand will buy tonight!!!!!! Ill send you a pm with contact info
  24. So how did it pan out? Anyone end up going?
  25. Depends on if the track dries up enough tonight or not I'd say you should be good. But that depends on what the officials mood is.
