Looking for some 5" discs (or a bunch of 5" discs) and caps for a project - looking to build a pair of back up mufflers in case the new car doesn't meet sound requirements. New. bigger pipes mean I can't use my 4" stuff easily. LMK if you have some laying around. Thanks!

Thanks, but numbers are there on purpose!

Following the CR herd over to the new combo site. 40+ year SCCA member, crapcan (Champcar) driver - seat renter, and currently working on restoring a SCCA GT1 Fiero. Sitting in the wings (and for sale) is a LeMons / SCCA Enduro / Champcar Fiero project and a couple of 125cc shifter karts. Nothing really "fun" in the way of street cars - to much time and money in race car stuff....

So I've reached the age where this is looking to be a good idea to get done. Need to create / file simple will in Franklin county. No business, trust, etc. involved just basic assets. First office I called wanted to do a three hour "estate plan" AFTER I send them all my info to the tune of $1800++++ Looking to go a bit more basic!

You're very welcome. Try to ask the details on why they voted down the two garages (if possible). Sometimes it's just aesthetics (exterior finishes) / failure to "blend in" with the neighborhood. Once we explained how we were matching roof pitch to the house, exterior finished/details to match house we had no issues. Also, depends on the number of variances needed. In our case, the square footage of the garage itself and the placement on the lot were fine. The variance itself was on total square footage - or in other words, to allow us to keep the existing attached garage. In your case, with no existing garage and a (relatively) minor overage on square footage, it trim/finishes have it matching the house, I would think it would be relatively easy. As to the height, take a look at the ones being built on North Broadway - two story garages that match the houses....

Just went through the variance project with Columbus in 2019-2020 (43214 zip, but not Clintonville). We built a 720 sq ft garage in while retaining our oversized 2 car attached (2 garages w/~1318 total sq ft) . Put in 60a electric, no gas or plumbing. Shoot me a PM if you want to discuss, hear more firsthand about the process (more details than I car to type out...)

Actually, there is quite an active group of folks racing vintage karts - and the values for restored karts are (relatively) big money! Hooks for the frame or "cups" for the wheels would be the way to go. Instead of Unistrut, weld up a frame out of 1/2" or 3/4 square tube that lines up with studs, hang the frame and add kart!

Lock it up! Auction went ballistic and blew my budget before it sold.

Thanks, have access to a nice aluminum open trailer...but too many spare parts with car (potentially) so enclosed is a must!
-
A lot of "maybe" here. I may have an opportunity to acquire a car - but it's in California. Exploring options to get it (and an extensive spares package) back to OH. The various truck rental places are insane for "one-way" rentals. I might have a "Uship" option, but also looking at just going to get it myself if it happens. Currently I am "trailerless" - long story... Looking to possibly rent/borrow and enclosed trailer 8x20 (ish) for a week (5 days?) to go retrieve it "IF" it happens as an option. Let me know if you might be interested/willing/able.

Pontiac Solstice / Saturn Skye seem to have bottomed out - even some of the boosted versions are in the price range. Many are low mileage as people kept them as second cars and not DD.

Thanks all. Shot him a note via his website. May also have him build the replacement radiator the car will also need.....

Yea, with all my crap I should have the set up to do this, but I don't. Need an AN fitting tigged into/onto an aluminum tube as part of the GT1 resto. LMK if you can help out.

It's the anti vehicle mentality in most places... Columbus used to allow parking on "an improved surface" that included gravel. That was my plan when I built my new garage for an RV storage spot, but no more! Now it must be a "hard surface" (paved) and you need to file a "site plan" (and pay $90 for the "privilege").

Congrats! But remember, "race car" and "complete" are not compatible terms....
-
And yet he disappoints by failing to include pics of theses key "features"! Or a "brilliant" tease to get you to come look.....

Remember When Downtown Was Transformed Into A Racetrack?
craig71188 replied to Otis Nice's topic in Passing Lane
3 years I worked as a pit marshal. "Partied at the Pen" - the first year worker party was at the old Ohio State Penitentiary - also where worker registration was held. Pit lane was a compromise with a 180 degree turn around on Broad right at the entrance to Veteran's Memorial. Made for some interesting driving. My wife was working at a printing company and did cover artwork for the programs one year. Yes, Columbus was cooler, more balanced in its views then. -
Thanks! Wasn't sure if you were "ready" yet - and just fishing for anything else!

Looking for a few specific spare bits, and some general stuff for a spare motor build for the tube frame Fiero (pic in sig). Just in case someone has some stuff (or knows someone with some stuff).... Aluminum Block (large journal preferred) Pontiac Aluminum Heads Pontiac Intake Odd fire crank Odd fire MSD distributor May consider some Chevy heads - send the casting numbers, there are (at least) 3 variants that I know of so far. I know it's a longshot, but gotta look in all places to round this stuff up. Missed an aluminum block & stuff that sold already in Akron area. Got some leads on some other parts, but all with iron block so far.

Looking to buy (or even borrow for fit check) a 20 degree layback aluminum seat. If "buy" - I need a 17" wide, if borrow, makes no difference. Kirkey / Ultra / Butler / etc... Just checking here first before I head to Jegs....

SOLD! Lock it up please.
