They're a good entry level high end optic. Not a bad place to start if you have a grand for an optic and don't want to go past that price point.

get some hornady and black hills or something known to perform well. try a few dif rounds so you can rule out the gun as the problem.

Were you shooting past 150 yards? Did you push the scope forward in the rings before tightening down all the way? Did you tighten the rings to much or not enough?

This. Breaking it in with brass isn't going to help steel go through it. Spend the money on quality ammo.
