I'm with Doc, condition the dog to not come into your yard. It's going to take a little bit of time but it will respond to repetition. The shrubbery fence would probably work and look nice. I like privacy in the backyard so it seems like a win win there. Don't booby trap your back yard with nails in a board, I'm pretty sure it's illegal. I would steer clear of harming the dog unless it attacks you.

Thanks for the persuasion. I'd have been waiting another week or two to get a 390 without your comments. I got lucky enough to even get in contact with this guy to hold this thing, no one in town had one in store. I'll be getting out to either Black Wing or Briar soon to shoot. Probably Black Wing so I can spend some time shooting this thing. I've got a lot of sighting in to do on my rifles too so the next time I'm at Briar I'll have a busy day on the bench and might not have much time to shoot clay there. Thanks to the three above. I think the silver really sets it apart from the black receivers. I had a lot of trouble even finding anything about the silver receiver that wasn't the Tom Knapp edition. I heard to stay away from any Remingtons that weren't pre 92 so I didn't do much looking. I also got to hold a Remington 1100 20ga and wasn't really feeling the fit so I got turned off to continuing any Remington search. This should be a good starting point for me and I'm a big CZ fan already, figured I'd pick up a shotgun from them as well.

Well I picked up a CZ 912 today for a FTF deal. Ended up paying 420 for this with 5 choke tubes. This is my first shotgun and it'll get put to some serious use. I've read about hammer issues with these, hopefully it's nothing I'll experience. If I do I'm sure CZ will take care of me. The owner had this sent to CZ for some trigger work so it's pretty smooth compared to some of the other 912 out there. NTB will do it again within 6 months if something is wrong. Just take it back. Ask for a printout for before and after. I was at NTB a few weeks ago and told them I could get one done elsewhere for 60 and they matched it.

Any opinions on the hk fabarm? I've seen some older models just outside of what I was originally looking to spend.

Will be used for hunting bird and for clays at the range. Trying to stay at a reasonable price range. I'm a big fan of CZ firearms and have been eyeballing their 912. Other than that some options I've had recommended to me are: Beretta 390 Browning Silver or Gold Hunter Pre 92 Remingtons I haven't looked to see if these are all in my price point. I'm not worried about recoil, I'm most concerned about reliability.

I'm pretty sure a FFL can ship USPS to your address if it's your gun already. It must be next day delivery no matter what carrier your FFL uses. I would just check it at the airport.

Are you trying to get a 50k limit on one card or spread out between cards with different banks? I had a 17k combined limit by 21 and I have payed a total of $0.00 in interest on my credit cards since I was 18. You don't need to carry a balance to get limit increases. Part of your limit is based off of your annual salary and your credit history. Citi has increased limits on all three of my cards without me even requesting increases and I maybe spend 2k at the absolute max per month on my cards between me and my girl. I now have 17k worth of credit just with my Citi cards. My assumption is they will increase your limit to get you to spend more, increasing the chance that you will not be able to pay in full. I'm also pretty sure they check your credit in the middle of the month so you would want to do the majority of your spending toward the end of the month to keep a good debt to credit ratio. I'm sure someone will come in to chime in with more reputable info, this is just my experience and assumptions.
