i've got $1500 (catback/intake/tune) in my GTO and i'm close to 400rwhp--with longtubes, i'd be there, with a cam, maybe 425. but i prefer a near-stock car for daily driving purposes. i paid $21k for it 3 years ago, with 11k miles on it--that's a total investment of $23k if you count the shifter and drag radials too. no way you're going to touch that in a clean evo or sti. tell me how much you think it would take to get an evo that clean (2 years old), with that mileage, and take it to 500rwhp?? please, wake up.
and i can get 25mpg on the freeway at 70mph all day long. plus i have a car that i can drive to work, be seen by my coworkers, even take people from work around in----without looking like the guy who's about to ram a schoolbus with his deathtrap. the car starts every time and drives like a stocker in every way.
maybe your co-workers will be impressed with a 4" fartcan and the BOV
