i'm paying very close attention to threads like this. the wife has an '05 4X4 exploder, that i will probably use once we get a bigger SUV for our kids/dogs. but i wouldn't mind trading it in and getting exactly the same truck in this thread.

scioto family physicians james dunnan was my family doc office is right behind tuttle mall

fast forward to 1:45.

you could imagine some of the stupid shit these guys would pull. faking chest pain was a big one. we couldn't ignore it, they knew exactly what to say, and it bought them a complete workup every time. hospital days don't count towards their sentence, but they consider it a vacation. complaining of blood in their stool was another one.

hopefully you don't need dialysis. when i was at OSU, prisoners used to do this to themselves all the time---they considered it a right of passage to get rhabdo. they would just work out non-stop, and restrict their fluid intake--next thing you know, they'd be admitted getting dialysis.

doing good 247/242/205 i've been allowing myself to go out to dinner once a week and eat whatever i want, as well as out for breakfast sunday morning. otherwise, i've cut out ANY regular pop, most of the gatorade/powerade i was drinking, and big portion fast foods. and i stopped eating ANYTHING at all after 7 pm.

+1 wells had to go pro. depending on how bad his turf toe is/was, this could be an injury that nags the fuck out of him. he couldn't risk getting re-injured before going pro. i will miss watching his violent stiff arms. i don't think there was another rb this year that could toss db's aside like he could

i have no chips for you. you already have chips. extremely bitter ones.
-
no, i would not refer to him. he's obviously got a chip on his shoulder regarding physicians in general, certainly stemming from some interaction in the past with one of his family members and a physician. he will NOT change with time. i will not rely on referrals from chiros. i don't treat back pain, and there's no possible reason any hip/knee arthritis patient should be seeing a chiro for this, to get referred to me in the first place. i also do a lot of surgery for fractures, and again, there's no reason why any of these patients would have seen rick.
-
you think that is from a bad arch ?? this particular patient has rheumatoid arthritis. and you would be surprised how many people come into our offices with x-rays like that and don't complain of pain. let me guess, you changed their diet, and they were all better. yeah, that's a cute bedtime story.
-
its human nature to avoid seeking medical attention until there is a crisis--there's nothing i can do about that. we treat knee arthritis for years with anti-inflammatory medications and cortisone/hyaluronic acid shots--years. i will often see a patient with these x-rays the first time they're in the office. they've tried to stay active, take anti-inflammatory medications, glucosamine, and can no longer walk without a cane. what's your treatment plan for this patient?? http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/9546/djdknee12qs2.jpg and in trauma situations, i'm obviously unable to change their life before surgery is required--are you able to??
-
no god complex here. i just know what i do, and i know what you do. i know what training is involved to become a physician, and i have a good idea what training is involved to become a chiro. i do primarily hip and knee replacement surgery--chiros will be no threat to me. if potential patients are dumb enough to think that you can do anything (more than i) to help them with their painfully arthritic joints (that have no cartilage left), then they are not smart enough to follow my simple post-operative instructions, and i wouldn't operate on them anyways. just out of curiosity, what 'truth' do you tell someone when you see a bone mass on one of their x-rays???
-
this is at least 30%. i can think of possibly 40-50% of my patients (who are usually quite healthy) having reactions to medications i give them. pain medication frequently makes them itch, and gives them constipation---there you have it, reactions to medications.
-
that's 12 years old my friend. are you that much of a sheep that you could be lead to believe that prescription drugs kill 140k perfectly healthy people per year?? those stats include drugs like coumadin for causing death, but they don't report that if you took the patient off of that medication, they would surely die. medications are not without risks/side effects---what you don't grasp is what things would be like without them. you have no grasp of how things really are because you don't take care of sick patients--you only see healthy patients with musculoskeletal complaints.
-
say what you like, but i guarantee you will call on the help of a physician at some point in the future to save/extend your life. and i can guarantee that myself, and the majority of the population will never see the 'treatment' of a chiro.
-
you're talking about a very small sliver of patients, and you know you don't make them any better either. also, you've posted no x-rays with hardware, so i know you're full of shit.
-
i'll have my gen. surgery buddies remind you of that when you're screaming for them to remove your appendix.
-
triple, before i have to go back to work
-
its tough for them to do anything wrong, because they're NOT REALLY DOING ANYTHING. for the vast majority of people, the back pain will get better with a couple days rest, anti-inflammatory medication, and avoidance of aggravating activities. when they see their chiro, get 'treated', and get better within one week, they attribute that to whatever service was performed--when they would have gotten better just the same without 'treatment'.
-
hard for me to believe, but i guess its possible. i guess you'll just be hosed if you ever need medical treatment. without modern medicine, you couldn't even imagine how many people would be dead. 7% of people get appendicitis---without surgery, you're dead--that's 7% of the entire population wiped out automatically. hell, my wife had appendicitis, and two separate obstetric complications that all would have killed her without prompt medical care. she'd be dead 3 times over and is only 28 years old. just think about it for a second, and get back to me with your obvious chipped shoulder.
-
no back peddling here. i've always maintained that there's a place for chiro's in the treatment of back pain--but its well down the food chain from the physician. that is all
-
triple before i retire for the night. chiropracters have a definite role in back pain, they just need to realize the limits of their abilities--as do surgeons. the bottom line is that back pain is the bain of our society, and is only getting worse with obese america. more people see their family doctor for back pain, than for any other complaint (aside from maybe the common cold). it is the single largest factor in disability cases, and worker's compensation cases. to some extent, it never COMPLETELY goes away--even with surgery.

works for me, its just the definition of 'congenital' for you. i'm starting today's lesson at potty training for you.

looks to me like one film is a bending film, and the other is not. if you think you can permanently correct true physical deformity in 3 months of your treatment, you're delusional. try this on your massage table. "i'll take a brisk shiatsu, with the lemon scented massage oil, Dr. rick" http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/2680/scoliiq3.jpg
