  1. be patient, you're only 22. you'll have plenty of time for fast cars. and you will not likely get that good of gas mileage in the goat, unless you're going mostly highway. i see 19.3mpg, with mixed city/highway, and i drive the car more responsibly than your typically 22 year old would. either way, good luck, and be patient.

    fireworks

apparently, many people here in tampa light off fireworks on new year's eve as the ball drops. little gypsy firework stands have popped up on every street corner like cockroaches. i decided to get in on the action and get some mortar shell kits, whistler bottle rockets, 25 shot saturn missles, roman candles, black cat firecrackers, and of course some sparklers, and spark fountains for my girls to watch. i hadn't bought fireworks in 15 years, and was surprised to spend less than $50--and most everything was buy 1 get 1 free. happy new years.
  3. penn station's fries are phenominal. great steak escape has good fries. outback's cheese fries are great, but are the single most unhealthy food you can possibly acquire. i liked the fries at Ted's Montana grill--i thought they also had the best burger in columbus as well. in&out burger out west has good fries, and great burgers. i was in canton last week, and got a chance to go to swenson's for a burger (best burger i've had, period). also, in tampa, Five Guys Burgers & Fries has fries on par with penn station, and unbelievable burgers too.
  4. welcome. good intro. love the car.
  5. i can find a nice warm garage to 'store' the car for him indefinitely. i will even pay him to 'store' this car. sounds like he got what was expected--sucks either way. good luck linn
  6. i'm going to start new years day. we're going to busch gardens this week, so i'm going to start on thurs.
  7. i realize this. its just going to take a competition (hopefully) for me to actually make changes.
  8. count me in bitches. with work being busy as hell, trying to hang out with my daughters, and just eating too much with not enough gym time--i've let myself go. 247/247/205 and i need to gain some muscle back.
  9. everyone knows a 'one-upper'. he's the guy who has a story to top EVERY one of your stories, no matter how crazy it is. you tell a story, and the first words out of his mouth are "that's nothing, this one time.........."
  10. that's impossible, i know everyone
  11. street race?? you must have a very short memory. take your 400hp car to one of the track days, and watch it get raped all day long by the 500-700hp cars on this board. your intro sucks fucking dick, buddy. everyone is sorry for the loss of your cousin, but not your shitty introduction. if you're going to come off like a little prick and have a bad fucking attitude, then you're not welcome here.
  12. you can't beat tampa for morning radio wars---there's a 3 way battle between the lex and terry show, bubba the love sponge, and the mj show. the mj show sucks, but the other two are great--just like stern
  13. nice picture. where can i get that camera??? are you taking anything for your seizures??
  14. we had the 'high plan' for our insurance. wife had a c-section, and we had twin girls. total cost to us was less than $300. i was amazed.
  15. huskie 26gallon, with wheels. its nice to be able to wheel it out into the driveway. i will be stepping up to a bigger one, when i finally settle down
  16. you know you're a redneck if.................................. just kidding. sounds great.
  17. the poor people/bums here in tampa sell newspapers at EVERY red light intersection, on sundays---seriously.
  18. i agree with rick from time to time. i think he should be paid, no question--but i know its an uphill battle once someone is determined not to pay. you end up spending more time/resources/money to recoup the money from the patient. if you go after him/her, it may end up being just for the principle.
  19. 2-4 hours, and at least 3 follow-up visits. cost of the medical device and hospital bill are irrelevant, since i don't get a paycheck from the hospital, and the hospital bills the insurance company for the implants, and hospital stay. we end up taking care of plenty of people without insurance, and i'm not even doing trauma this year. in our trauma department, at least 50% of the people who wind up in the trauma bay have no insurance, and absolutely no intent to pay for shit. i get $1200 per total joint, that's it. and i have just as much overhead--secretary, nurse, medical assistant, radiology technician, building rent, etc. etc. just consider this one of the 3-4 charity cases you do, and move on.
  20. damn, that's an expensive massage. food for thought:: medicare reimburses surgeons about $1200 for a total knee or hip replacement surgery--and they keep lowering that amount. that means i would get paid 2/3 of what a chiropracter gets paid to see a patient in my office, do a total knee replacement on them, and see them in follow-up. the $1200 is what i get paid for the surgery and all the post-operative care. and america thinks doctors get paid too much. not to piss in your thread too much. good luck, but you aren't going to get paid shit.
  21. you should take care of people in need of your 'services' regardless of their ability to pay the bill---that's what it means to be a doctor. business or not, the payment should be knowing that you truly helped someone. how much to they owe you, out of curiosity??
  22. true, but most employers see a college degree as a sign that the applicant is a dedicated person who is "teachable". they use the degree as a foundation to build on. its different for different fields. in science-oriented jobs, you must go to college, and beyond--there's just no way that a non-college educated person could do it. i guess the secret is to pursue a degree in a field that simply cannot be performed by someone who lacks proper education. teacher, engineer, architect, doctor, lawyer, etc. plenty of careers require time to mature and profit from. i'm 31 and haven't even technically started my career. overall, i would agree. too many people out there going through 4 years of college and then not utilizing their degree to its fullest
  23. yes, all GTO drivers drive like this. just check out my ilegal HID's on my goat. i enjoy blinding the fuck out of oncoming drivers so they spin off the road. i'll routinely run out 5th gear to 175mph.
