  1. sucks, i'd be making dad pay for a new engine--not necessarily an upgrade, but he has to make it right. when you borrow someone's (anything), and break it due to your negligence, then you have to make it as good, or better than the condition you borrowed it--that's part of being a man. its not like the car randomly quit, it was damaged from clear negligence, assuming your story is correct (i don't know how it couldn't be)

    Rehab

    good luck with everything
  3. nope. the book i referenced is fantastic. like i said, even if you hate mustangs, you'll still like this book. i had no idea what goes into designing and engineering a car and this book details EVERYTHING (motor/suspension/body/etc). it was really interesting how the engineers overcame many of the obstacles they faced. the original motor did not call for the manley rods that it has--they were breaking rods left and right. like i said, the bood is great

subscribing...... hal your fuel system should be good into the 700's give or take a bit, with twin stock cobra pumps and the boost-a-pump. just upgrade the in-tank fuel hoses, and the wiring from the battery to the FPDM and from the FPDM to the fuel pumps and you'll be good to go---that's my setup and i'm in the high 80's for my fuel pump duty cycle
  5. could be ANYTHING from musculoskeletal, to kidneys, vascular, abdominal. see your family doctor, or go to the E.R. unfortunately, i can't do anything for you over the internet
  6. so what do you actually do for a living, if you were the "star" of tech school, and don't work in a shop??? and puting a front bumper cover and cobra badge on your car does not make it a clone---just makes it a slow mustang GT parading around as something its not. you'll never be able to justify puting cobra badges on your car to people who own legitimate cobras---it just won't happen
  7. great video by the way, thanks for posting. couldn't believe that lightning made it into the 9's. and as for the small white car---holy shit, is about all i can say. for a second it looked like it was headed straight for the camera guy
  8. read "iron fist, lead foot" (paperback book) if you want to get schooled on the '03/04 cobras, and how the name 'terminator' came about. its actually a very interesting look into automotive engineering and goes through the complete history of the car, from concept to completion, and everything in between. even if you don't like mustangs at all, its a great read. but since you're so busy running the pizza shop (can't remember if that's what you do, so excuse me if i'm wrong), i'll let you know how the name came about--- chief project manager jonh coletti wanted to build a car that would terminate the competition, and finally put ford on top of the pony/muscle car food chain---needless to say, he was successful. the name has nothing to do with the movie/arnold. the only part(s) of the car that have the word "terminator" on it, are the side air scoops behind the doors. see, now you're smarter
  9. let me know if you're ever looking to sell
  10. there's a guy that works at our hospital who drives a newer silver mustang, and i don't think he has mufflers at all--could be him, although he's a pretty nice guy, and i don't picture him doing that
  11. i'll have to keep the term 'radiographer' in mind. i've never heard them referred to as anything other than rad techs, and i work with them almost every day, but oh well.
  12. we're renting a house. i used state farm for homeowner's here, and was told by my agent that they (st. farm) do not do renter's policies in fla. they claimed that there was only one company that did renter's policies. we paid $400 for $50k coverage
  13. 180mph is suicide---you'll pass a car going 60mph (could be a slow moving car up ahead in your lane) as if you were passing a parked car doing 120mph accidents at those speeds are absolutely unsurviveable
  14. 180mph is not a good idea in any car on public roads
  15. awesome. what kind of set-up are you running??
  16. i drag raced it 7 years ago. then swapped out the drag suspension because i wanted to make it a road racer (i swapped out my drag springs/control arms/etc.)---then realized i needed $$ to get married, and big brakes/suspension/etc for road racing would be too much money, so i abandoned the transformation. now that i have the $$, i want to totally redo it, and turn it into a drag car again, so we'll see. the car is staying in columbus with my brother this year, while i'm in tampa for the year. the real problem is that its just not fun to drive right this second with the shitty suspension, and horrible cold starts---i've driven it about 200 miles a year the last 3 years.
  17. mild h/c/i car, gears, longtube/full exhaust, and some weight loss low 13's when i had the suspension/tires set-up for racing
  18. i met you last friday at sonic--i have the red, t-topped '87 GT. love the t-tops. your car looks fantastic. clean
  19. moral of story: don't talk shit to other people about their cars, saying that they're not worth your time---challenge them to a race--and then back down.
  20. great, should make treating stab wounds much easier (sarcasm)
  21. sorry to see it go, hope you pick up a new project.
  22. radiologist=medical doctor who reviews/reads xrays/MRI's/etc. rad tech=radiology technician who takes the actual x-rays and one of the people i talked to last night went to OSU (a while ago) for his training
