  1. i just realized that. my anger was aimed at haydocy, since they had the tranny out to replace the rear main seal, and didn't think it was a good idea to replace the rear tranny seal at that time, even though it was leaking. i'll check on the clutch/flywheel (there's a thread on ls1gto.com about the ls6 clutch swap), but since mine is working perfect, i may not do it. it would have been perfect to do it when the rear main was being serviced--i wish i would have waited to fix it--i would have had you put the clutch in, in a heartbeat at that time.
  2. sorry for the above post, my daughter got a hold of the keyboard. you can put a z-06 clutch on my GTO while you have the tranny out to replace the rear tranny seal on my car (under warranty), since haydocy was ok with not changing it out when they replaced my rear main seal a few months ago.
  3. you can throw a z-06 clutch on my car while you have the tra ;klm Ajdd Zz `
  4. i thought there was a guy with a red one at dynotune's car show last year. i believe he put down around 350rwhp. not bad, i guess.
  5. sweet. tell me where i can find one of those. sadly, i think i may have bought the last new mustang i will ever own. there will be a notch in my future, but that's it as far as mustangs go, unless they do something special. the GT500 is nice, but not enough for the price.
  6. yeah, but it took him 4 months to do. if its purely on his free time, and he's only doing it for fun, that's one thing. by your math, that would be $6k a year that he could make aside from what he does for a living during normal work hours. not bad, but not worth it, unless he truly enjoys doing the work. its still an incredible job none-the-less.
  7. gay. i saw a silver stage 1 roush at sunocco in hilliard, while i was filling up my '04 yesterday. i wasn't too impressed, looks like a lot of show, and no go--he got into it as he left--sounded like a regular '08 with exhaust. i'm not a big fan of badges all over the car, and body kits/wings/etc.
  8. BAP is easy. there are kits to upgrade the wiring for the BAP as well. my car has a BAP, and wiring upgrades from the battery all the way back to the pumps. the best solution is to get dual pumps, but this can be a bitch if your car is not set up for them, or if you don't want to hassle with dropping the tank.
  9. do it. the coil packs make the engine bay look too cluttered. i've seen a few of these swaps with the vette engine cover, and it makes the swap look even more impressive. aside from making the engine bay look a little better, it will be blatantly obvious to passers by at car shows what the car has to offer.
  10. typical female driver, nothing out of the ordinary.
  11. you need to put a vette engine cover on your motor
  12. import for me, means the profit from the sale of the car is going to another country, plain and simple.
  13. i'm well-aware (see sig). the car basically has the running gear of the corvette, and i'm pretty sure the body panels are US, even though if you look at most of the ancillary parts (radiator, etc.) they say made in australia
  14. no, i don't care if those cars are assembled in the US, they're not american
  15. american. the car is a pontiac, pontiac is an american car company. 99% of the other shit-heads on the road assume its a G6 or a cavalier. it will also break parts/have issues like any other american car.
  16. meh j/k that turbo car is unbelievable. sweet collection
  17. MOST TIRE SHOPS SUCK ASS, PERIOD. i've had lugs seized up on three different cars of mine--my '90 grand prix twice, and my cobra. this happened at discount tire in hilliard twice, and at firestone tire shop. the second time discount tire spun the stud in the spindle on my cobra :asshole: , and i had to have rob lasota press a bigger knurled stud in place--discount tire DID end up paying for this. i don't know what these ass--clowns are doing. i've been working on cars for literally 15 years--since i was 16 years old. i've taken the wheels off all of my 5 cars, and all my previous cars COUNTLESS times, and never had an issue. i tighten the lugs by feel, and have never, ever had a problem myself in 15 years. yet out of the 7-8 times i've had my cars to tire shops they've fucked up almost 50% of the time. its bad enough that when i got new tires on the wife's '99 sentra, i put the car on jack stands and took all 4 wheels to discount tire to get them switched, and put them on my car myself.
  18. get rid of it and start fresh, seriously. set it back to stock, and part ways. sell all the performance parts, and try to break even. then buy something reliable and fast.
  19. wow, sounds like a great birthday. sounds like you have a keeper-- and hyde park on the cap is fantastic, great food, and awesome atmosphere--definately the better hyde park in columbus
  20. dude, can you get me any deals on some pink shirts and plaid shorts?? j/k congrats
  21. not something i'd put on a job resume^^^ it may seem cool to start shit with all your buddies while in college (frat guys) fighting is most certainly not "cool". i avoid confrontations almost at all cost. the only thing that will set me off is threatening my family, or my cars. there is just NOTHING good that can come out of fighting--at all. i get to see the bad end of fighting at the hospital. getting your leg stomped while on the ground can set you back for 4-6 months--once you get out into the real world and have a job, that can cost you your job/house/car/etc. due to lost wages. i'd lose a lot of business if not for firearms and alcohol.
  22. welcome. love the marauders.
  23. i'll be there in the afternoon with at least the cobra, after my wife runs the half marathon.
