  1. yeah, or he'll lose control of his truck and ram into you. threads like this are amazing(ly stupid). are you going to post a thread on here acting all carefree and laughing when you get a DUI?? i see people on a DAILY basis who get injured doing dumb things, and this was clearly a very dumb thing that could have easily gotten you injured, and an unscheduled 3 month vacation from work (unless you're white collar and sit at a desk, which i highly doubt). anyways, i'm glad you earned enough money that night (?) to pay for it, and hope you listen to advice on here--i'd hate to see you in the E.R.--
  2. i'll talk to my wife, she's on several pregnancy forums, and may be able to dig up some ideas/references to help you out
  3. 1990 here. my wife would love it if the car caught on fire. i'm trying to eek out just until summer.

good luck with the recovery, hope everything works out. my wife is also an RN. doctor's west is an absolute dump, unfortunately. i'd start spreading out the perc's just a little bit, and maybe try a stool softener if you haven't danced the mambo #2 yet. narcotics really slow down the digestive system. in fact, the only 2 effects of narcotics that people do not develop tolerance to are the constipation, and respiratory depression. hope all goes well

325mg is the dosage of acetaminophen in each percocet tablet. the oxycodone (narcotic) component is either 5, 7.5, or 10mg. that's a lot of pain meds. i don't know why you're taking them, but i'd try to start tapering your usage, especially since you've been on the maximum dose of tylenol that your liver can take for a whole week now--hope you're staying away from alcohol. not trying to be a snob, or nosy.
  6. do you still have the complete black interior?? would it fit in my '87 GT??
  7. the convert probably weighs slightly more, and the aod is the killer. also, the rearend gears must also be taken into account. i had a '90 7-up lx convertible with aod and 2.73 gears in the rear---it was a complete dog in every sense of the word; even after i added pulleys, ram air, headers, and a catback (all parts i had left over from my '87). one more thing--if the '88 is a speed density car, which it probably is, then those cars were slightly quicker than their mass air counterparts--not by much, but enough.
  8. i'll be out for cruises when i can get away from work--i work tons of weekends. i'm not big on tons of street racing, but love cruising around to car shows, etc. this winter is killing me.
  9. there are numerous threads on this guy screwing people over--mostly out of town customers. one guy lost over $100k on a viper. he is notorious for selling the parts off your car to build other cars while your car is in his chop (shop). then he gets on the forums and makes a complete ass out of himself. his favorite saying is 'brokedick nutswinger', or something like that. and i've heard that the '09 SRT8 cherokee will carry the 6.4L 500hp hemi motor--that'd be enough for me.
  10. not going to have the argument with you, but epidurals work, and are the BEST way to avoid surgery, plain and simple. no surgeon takes ONLY healthy, fit, and young people, because like you said, they are not the ones with bad discs. but choosing who to operate on, and who will not benefit from surgery is the key to having good outcomes. i have no plans to do spinal surgery in practice, or a spinal surgery fellowship, but safe to say, i know enough about it to do my side of the case when i'm in the o.r.
  11. epidurals work more than 25% of the time. and i can tell you that someone under 60 with major symptoms WILL eventually be debilitated and require surgery. the results are better than 90% with good results at one year. i've learned that spinal surgery is ALL ABOUT patient selection: finding out which patients to operate on. greater than 75% of people over 50 years old will have an abnormal spinal MRI. if you operate on every 60 year old woman with depression and chronic back pain with some mild MRI disc signal changes and mild cord compression, than you will likely have some unsatisfied customers, and some worse off. if someone needs to know the names of the better spine surgeons in the city pm me.
  12. do all the hocus pocus crap you want to avoid surgery (beds, pillows, chiropracters, manipulations, etc), but if you're younger than 60, and having to do all that crap to get by, you will EVENTUALLY have to be cut on--and the surgery does not get any easier with time. epidural steroid shots are a great alternative to surgery, and they are covered by insurance.
  13. 2500+ hours overtime based on a 40 hour work week, salary, and i'm paid for only some of it.
  14. +1 this is why i don't do 'set-up' races. i'll do a 3rd-4th gear blast from time to time when lined up against another fast car. but the idea of doing six 20-140 rolls in a row for $50 on a public freeway does not seem appealing to me. i don't need the risk, money, or recognition. just my .02
  15. it was the whole reason i bought the car, and it was bone stock down to the paper filter/air silencer--but when i cleaned it up, i found several crushed beer cans under the seats--and some different sized bolts here and there.
  16. pretty funny right there. no offense
  17. thanks guys. the cobra has a 2.76" upper, ported blower. 486hp/480tq hopefully whipple coming soon. GT has a new 302 with ported GT40p heads, intake, exhaust, tremec, etc.
  18. no, i've never tried one. i've seen a bunch in person, but for some reason, i prefer the all black wheel--even though many people will say that they prefer a polished lip. my wife hates the car, and the wheels, but has accepted my hobby. my neighbor said the wheels will have to 'grow' on him--ha.
  19. i've had good luck with jim keim, and bad luck with germain ford. i had a few things repaired under warranty at germain, and they botched a fuel pump job, and my car was dirty as shit when i got it back--they also let it sit outside overnight despite my specific demand not to. jim keim has done a few warranty jobs on my cobra, as well as our explorer, and we've had good luck with them.
  20. thanks, i might add just a little tint, and that will be all, as far as exterior mods. its funny, when you approach the car in a poorly lit parking lot at night, you pretty much can't see it at all. people either love or hate the 'all black' wheels. most prefer a silver lip.
  21. here's a few picks of my cars http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/8885/s3500024tk4.jpg http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/575/s3500013wd4.jpg http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/4459/s3500055gk2.jpg http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/1525/s3500045vc9.jpg[/
  22. that will be in a nice area. maybe not attract so much trash. i can't believe all the 'riff raff' that comes into the one in hilliard.
