If you have a job that allows you to spend $250k modding a car, chances are you don't have time to mod it yourself. you're working 6-7 days a week and 80 hours a week--ask me how I know. Especially a car that is this complicated, should not be handled by a novice. And he spent $250k over the course of four years. He spent about $100k on two separate turbo/tranny builds, before the major debacle, that seemingly went fine--the article is a bit misleading. Yeah, maybe he should have kept a closer eye on the shop, pulled his car out sooner, etc etc etc. it doesn't change the fact that the shop royally and permanently fucked the car. And they've only agreed to work on it once the thread went viral---would you take your car back there after you discovered what they did? I would be asking for a full refund and a new gtr

not sure what you mean by the term 'rotary', but welcome to the site
-
I've always wanted one of these cars. I've never driven an m car, never ridden in one, hell, never even sat in one. But I've always loved the looks and sound of the e46. I think they totally screwed up on the newer version

I did some bench (chemistry) research and clinical research. I generally dislike all research, but the clinical research was much more tolerable. I ended up doing orthopedic and rheumatology projects--couldn't wait to be done with that shit
-
Sweet. I can certainly discount the surgeon fee, and maybe we can even work out something where he gets the new knee you guys just came out with. He guarantees he's going to outlive everyone, so we'll give him the latest and greatest

Everyone I see in my office is past the point of squatting and dead lifting, so the discussion never comes up. I see 40+ year olds with hip and knee arthritis. I do almost all hip and knee replacements. Everything from the easiest case to the most difficult one, and I'm pretty fucking sweet at operating broseph :fuckyeah: I don't encourage squatting heavy weight. My patients just want to walk, and do low impact stuff----that's what you'll be struggling with in 10-15 years. You'll be begging for the knife. If you think the human knee was designed to squat 600 lbs in addition to your 200 lb body, well then you're just plain retarded and there's no use arguing with you. I don't lift heavy weight anymore, and don't squat anymore. An injury to my body that puts me out of work is not worth the risk. Heaviest I lift is 275, and I can rep it out with ease. As far as outliving me? Maybe? Maybe not. Genetics has a lot more to do with lifespan than squatting 600 lbs. I'll still be working when you need your knees done. Maybe sledhead and I can work out a deal for your knee replacements

Glad she's ok. Crazy ass world we live in. She's georgeous, by the way.
-
Lol. Small world. He lived in the same neighborhood as me growing up. I haven't kept up with him, but I knew him when he was a little kid. I think he had an older sister named Sharon. My brother knows him too.
-
No worries dude. I still know many of the orthopedic residents at osu and mt Carmel since my brother is finishing up there and about to move on in a few weeks
-
No phd. Osu had a combined md/phd track and an md/MBA track as well. I figured early on that administration and research were not for me.

This is exactly why boat is so much better than car racing.

haha, my buddy has a 23' boat with a stripper pole on it. every video is some naked chick(s) dancing on the pole and other ridiculous videos---you can imagine. at the end of every video, he looks at his camera phone and says "that's my boat, bitch!". pretty funny. we watched about 30 videos and every single one ended the same way -
replacing guys' knees at 50 years old who made the same statement as above when they were in their 20's and 30's has paid for all the cars in my sig, amongst other awesome stuff. so i guess i'm not arguing with you :dumb:
-
great squat. the surface of your kneecap that comes into contact with the rest of the knee is about the size of a silver dollar. at 90 degrees, with that weight, there's probably around 3000lbs of force across that small surface. :lolguy: doesn't sound too good for the knee joint, but hey, you know your own body, right?
-
"calling charles darwin" not even wild animals are that dumb

You're probably ok, unless it starts hurting. Meniscal tears in adults don't heal. Think of a suspension bridge. The cables are actually made of 100's of smaller cables. If some of the cables rupture, they are no longer functional. In the case of the knee, once some of the meniscus tears, the torn part is no longer holding tension to absorb the shock of the knee joint. You remove it so that it does not tear further into the 'cables', or move between the femur and tibia and cause the knee to lock up
-
And it's exceedingly common in women-especially fat ones. They inherently have a "knock knee" alignment to their leg which puts the patella way out of alignment
-
Tons of people have it. Your body is incredible---if its doing damage, it will hurt. If not, carry on as normal. Your patella (knee cap) works with your femur and tibia like a transmission, that allows you to walk. If the patella is not aligned perfectly within the groove on the end of the femur, it will pop and click when you bend and straighten the knee under load (getting up from a prolonged seated position--think at the dinner table, driving, on the shitter, and at the movie theater). If this hurts, it's doing damage to the underside of the kneecap and groove. One way the align the patella is to strengthen the inner quad muscle, through short arc or isometric exercise. Surgery to align the patella is fraught with complications and shitty results. Bottom line is that squats are indeed bad for the knee. Especially if you have this condition
-
Squats, knee extensions, and the stairclimbers, keep me and sledhead in business. More than likely chondromalacia patella. Get in to see a dr to make sure you don't have a meniscal tear. Stop doing squats with heavy weight. Concentrate on isometric or short arc quad exercises. Take ibuprofen 600mg three times a day if you're having pain, and it should quickly go away. Let me know if you need a knee dr referral, I know some of the better ones

in the middle of a fairly large "remodel"---or in other words, building a house on top of a house. if you have the time to research everything, pick out more shit than you ever want to in your life---perfect. if you don't have much time, its quite miserable and time consuming. everything comes out more expensive than the 'allowances'.
-
That car looks aweful. Absolutely fucking terrible. And those tards can't even figure out how to pull it up a simple ramp.
-
i thought all the pussy wounds healed up with the warm weather. apparently not.
-
The guy who had his legs blown off saw the guy drop the bag seconds before it went off---looked him in the eyes.
-
thanks we're "remodeling" our house.

yes, she uses the money i make. she simply takes out a checkbook and writes the check. i have a general idea where my money is going, and how much is going where.
