surprised with how big of a city columbus is, that there's not one big, nationally known, mustang-specific shop. op, you have to pay-to-play. most shops can complete work for you, and satisfy the customer 95% of the time. its the 5% of the time when things go wrong, that we worry about. pick the shop that has the best record of taking care of that 5%, and consider the small extra that you pay in labor as 'insurance'.

ecutek with john visconti. i have four maps----91, 93, e70, e85. i've only used the 91 map. i don't have good, reliable 93 octane here. hopefully going to switch to e85 shortly. i daily drive this car, the wife drives it, and i'll drive the thing right through the winter here, so i'm not going to go crazy with the car. yet.

decided to take my GTR to the strip for test and tune night. ended up running 4 times, with the following times:: 10.95 10.90 10.8x 10.81 all trap speeds were 127.xx, with 1.6x 60' times. one thing i didn't do was run the car with the comfort shock settings, which i should have done--and i had 3/4 tank of gas. had a blast, blowing away an f-body, a viper, and finally some kid in a modded wrx-sti (big turbo). he actually called me out. he was probably 20 buses behind me. asked me what i ran, and said if he would have had his launch down we would have been side-by-side :dumb: this run was after a little cooldown. http://imageshack.us/a/img607/7429/dsc00640td.jpg http://s690.photobuc...trdrag.mp4.html this was my first run. some random guy sent me a copy he videoed with his iphone. i was running a gutted, big block nova. he beat my reaction time and 60', but i ran him down at 1000' and beat his 11.2, with a 10.9. you can see my smoke the tires at the top of first. i really couldn't get the tires dry after going through the water box. all that, and i only have a 91 octane tune and blow off valves :fuckyeah: can't wait to run e85 hopefully, i'll have some gopro footage up later today

The car could have used a seven speed. You're pretty close to 3k rpms in sixth gear at 80mph. I don't even think my lsx cars are at 2k rpms at that speed, certainly not the vette. Not a huge deal

lol i'm in the middle of remodeling our house, building an addition. so we're having to get rid of all the old stuff----appliances, siding, kitchen cabinets, etc etc etc. i don't have the patience to be put into a situation similar to the seller in this case---when you're buying used shit, the only time you can assume the product is yours, is when you show up with cash in hand. people who buy used shit can be flaky as hell--that's just the way it is.

This is why I don't sell shit ever. It goes right to good will, or donated to habitat for humanity/etc, and I write off on taxes. I don't buy used shit either. I realize it makes more sense for some people to buy used shit---this is part of the experience. Deal with it.
