  1. Im sure its easily faster than I was able to get my twin screw cobra to run. Wish I would have kept that car and raced it with the auto.
  2. I've had best luck with 555r's by nitto. I had a set last for 5k miles with moderate usage (only very occasional smoke shows). These were on my 600rwhp cobra. They hooked well in second gear when warm at 40 mph. Just a little spin and then bam. I had a set of nt05r's last for about 1500 miles on my vette--never again. Just couldn't get them balanced perfectly, and they were a bit squirrely under hard acceleration around 100mph. For me, they sucked. Keep in mind, neither of the above tires are meant for rain. Now that my vette might see occasional rain if I'm out on the town with the wife, I have nitto invo's. not nearly the same traction as the "r" drag radials, but better than stock. I have them on my cts-v as well, and have had zero issues even in heavy rain.
  3. 25psi?? details?? sounds nasty.
  4. Damn that sucks Tim. Hoping you get your father's hard earned money back
  5. as stated above bob, not a ton of people here that would be interested in that car, but you can try. i'm not sure exactly what its worth, but i got $16k through the dealer for my '05 GTO with 23k miles on it, when i upgraded to my caddy. unfortunately, modifications to a car add next to zero value---believe me, its true, unfortunately. there will be tons of interested parties on ls1gto.com, maybe ls tech forums---be prepared for low-ballers, etc. i've had good luck with auto trader. sorry about your father's passing.
  6. i only heard 2 shifts. first to second. and then second to some gear 2-4 gears higher---probably 5th or 6th. idiots
  7. car manufacturers are pretty smart, in general. when they build a sports car, there is some power/handling/wow-factor left on the table--there always is--but not a ton, or the car stops being reliable/fun very quickly. there are VERY few cars that can withstand doubling the horsepower, tons of weight reduction, handling components, etc, and still be reliable, and function as a car that you will WANT to drive on intermediate (1-2 hour) trips. pick a car----let's say a c5 vette. imagine you can safely, and reliably add 30% more power===105hp, to make a 460-ish hp car. you can reduce 5-10% weight, to get the car close to 3000lbs, and you can upgrade the handling to make the car still fun to drive on the highway. that's an example of reasonable goals, reasonable budget, yet you keep the car completely streetable. meanwhile, others are bitching about their 600hp motor that overheats, blows up, or constantly destroys everything but a racing clutch--which is then absolutely no fun to drive. with proper maintenance, at that power level, you can get 100k miles out of a car like that. decide what your goals are. set very clear, reasonable goals.
  8. i've ruined a few cars by making them not fun to drive, with too many mods. its not a fun experience.
  9. I need one of the four door versions. I've always wanted to get bigger tires and a small lift on the truck. I'm thinking next winter, so ill see how this plays out
  10. damn, that was going to be my next vehicle/truck. we'll see
  11. I have no idea why. I'd love to take the recaros with me into every other car I drive. I have the dark wood accents--they look great. For me, the instrument cluster is perfect. Navigation decent. There's an l.e.d. Light just below the wood accent on the glove compartment that looks great at night. The moon roof goes all the way to the backseat. Out of all the cars in my sig this one has the best stereo, but only a single CD player (who plays CDs anymore, anyways?). The only thing I need is a DVD player in each headrest and a whipping stick to whip my kids' legs when they kick the backs of the seats. The power train speaks for itself. Mine is stock accept for a catback. Buzz on here had an '09 that was bottom 11's with a pulley and mild h/c package I believe. The brakes are great in this car too.
  12. Yes, it is worth it. The interior is incredible. Ride is amazing. I've had zero issues with mine. At one time, I had three car seats in the back.
  13. Lookin good. Didn't realize how small those cars really are. Aren't you a pretty big dude? How the hell do you fit in that car? Lol

Careful with the wing on that machine bro. There are low overpasses all over columbus. You could get the car stuck under one with a wing like that. Welcome
  15. You can fit two kids comfortably in the back of a gto, which can be had with lower miles in that price range---if two door cars can be considered--which they shouldn't be. As stated above, tossing kids/babies/ etc into the backseat of a coupe will get downright intolerable, and it will do so quickly. I traded in my low mileage gto for my ctsv and haven't looked back. G37 exhaust sounds pretty decent. Other than that, they sell that car with a feminine napkin in the glove box, if I recall--which should be all the info you need to cross it off the list

    Porsche 944

great build, and its entertaining to read. good luck
  17. meh, its harder and harder these days to simply turn on a game system, and immediately get engrossed into the game--aside from games like halo, cod. its almost like you need 2-3 hours minimum to get into the game. and these games take weeks and weeks of playing time to complete.
  18. Good lord. Stay out of these threads for the love of god. You ever see the big name shops/tuners getting wrapped up in these arguments??? The correct answer is 'fuck no'. As a car enthusiast with real money I wouldn't let you tune my kids' fucking power wheels for the simple fact you come into every thread and feel the need to argue, defend yourself with 'over-the-top' insults, claims, titles, etc. stop. You're a reflection of every shop you work for.

lol a lot of people actually use this. we don't like to be limited to what/where we have to eat. we typically do one character breakfast, as well as the princess makeover for the girls with dinner inside the castle. i got a pirate makeover with my boy, and we all know how that turned out :fuckyeah: we already have reservations for next december. when you reserve this far in advance, rooms are cheaper. we've stayed in the contemporary for the past couple years. its nice, since its so close to the magic kingdom, where the kids get the most out of. its very easy to spend a ton on one of these trips when you figure flights, resort stay, park entrance, etc etc etc. regardless, the trip will be much more fun during a non-peak time of the year
  20. yeah, i'd probably rock one with zero hesitation. i loved my gto to death. probably should not have gotten rid of it. don't get me wrong--i sold it to get my cts-v, which i love. but the gto got great mileage, was manual, and the perfect highway cruiser. you might want to also look at low mileage gto's. that way you get your manual and the stronger 400hp motor--although my ls2 gto never made 400hp stock--probably 380. for a family of 4, the backseats have a decent amount of room.

your best bet is to go in the winter---still good weather there, with much smaller lines. we've been the past three years--we go the first week in december. last year, we went the mickey's xmas party. pretty sweet, they shut the park down and everyone with a party pass stays. no lines on the rides, a sweet parade, etc etc etc. i'd wait until your one year old is at least 2 and a half. there's tons of ways to save money, but you also miss out just a bit on the experience i'd recommend a princess makeover, and at least 1-2 character meals
  22. Can't Stop Laughing Fingers in the mouth? Wtf.
  23. lol that car launches so hard. in the vette video, the vette driver is in a helmet/fire suit. fox driver----- shorts/t-shirt
