you've never driven one, have you?? drive one (not mine). if you're not convinced that its 10X the car that you're vette is, or will ever be, then kill yourself, because there is no hope for you.

vette was granny shifting too, when he should have been double clutching:lolguy: bring parachute to race when he should have brought slicks---what a dumbass. when i was in college i bought my first foxbody. i modded this thing to no end over the next 5 years. all the way to h/c/i, new motor, trans, etc etc. then i bought my '04 cobra and it was immediately and markedly faster--absolutely no contest. over the next 5 years i modded the cobra--everything all the way up to 600rwhp, built rear, built/stalled auto, etc etc. then i bought my '09 z-06 (my wife bought it, but that's a diff story), and immediately knew the z-06 was nearly as fast, but that much better of a car--no contest at all. over the next 3 years i modded the vette---h/c/i/exhaust, and nothing more. then i bought the GTR and immediately knew its a quicker, better built, technologically superior car---maybe not from a roll, but there's absolutely no matching the car to 100mph from a standstill---just won't happen. somewhere along that timeline i also owned 3 other foxes, a GTO, cts-v, and '13 gt500. as much as i loved my fox, i had to realize the cobra was that much better. as much as i loved my cobra, i had to realize the vette was that much better. and as much as i love my z, the GTR is better. still love the vette though---its modded to the point where the wife still willingly rides in it--that's a barometer i use when modding my cars. the point is, realize the gtr is the better car, and move on. my dad is still pissed i bought a foreign car. thank god i'm not brand loyal--i would miss out on some incredible cars
  3. holy shit!!! haha, never seen anything like that. in for sound clips
  4. bigtime. this was the only color i was interested in. i love the lighter blue color that you see in the last generation S4's. love chevy's electron blue that they had for c5 z's. i'm ok with the grabber blue on my cobra---wish it was a metallic. i loved the impulse blue on my '05 GTO. this is a darker blue, almost navy blue--with a good amount of metallic in it.:fuckyeah:
  5. i'm not even sure?? i'll look it up. it was the only color i was interested in
  6. no timeslips, just fairly comfortable driving the piss out of it. i have a huge stretch of road with nothing but cornfields on either side less than a mile from my house that i drive the car on and practice on. the car does not scare me. by no means am i anything more than an average driver---but this is the 5th car i've owned and driven routinely that has well over 500hp. you won't see videos of me doing 1st gear pulls in a parking lot by a trailer park, or lame-ass callouts with my buddy riding shotgun. i'll make the in car video of the vette when the weather turns. in the meantime, you'll have to deal with the in car videos i plan to make cruising in the GTR.
  7. or unless he's a dipshit fucktard that can't drive and is running bald winter tires, crying about wheelhop, etc etc, while my car is dialed in perfectly with drag radials that have plenty of tread left. my car needs nothing. i could get greedy and add nitrous, but there is absolutely no need at this point.
  8. i put together several foxbodies, done h/c/i on each of the foxes i've heavily modified, and still do some car work just for fun. i created the "how-to" section on svtperformance for '03-'04 cobras, based on the work i did to the car myself. i've realized that the research that goes into a build is equally important, if not more, than the actual physical labor. that's why most of my cars get taken apart/put together once, and don't see multiple failed clutches/etc. i choose not to do big jobs because it does not make sense to do so at this point in my life. my time is worth money, and my hands are worth much more money. whatever a shop charges to work on my car, i can assure you is nowhere near the amount i can make in the same amount of time. and i can avoid injuring my hands. no silver spoon here. i'm the doctor that was made a race car driver by my GTR. never mind the fact that my c6z (with me driving it) would rape-choke your hacked-up, autozone, failed aborion of a car.
  9. so you had the drivetrain out of your car 8 times over the course of the last couple years and the car is still not sorted out correctly?? several different clutches, several different combinations, and you're typing a sob story ^^^ about what a mechanic does (usually correctly, the first time) every single day, like it takes a fucking rocket scientist to do h/c/i on a small block chevy?? i spent $10k total on my c6z for ported/milled/upgraded stock heads, cam, ported intake/tbody, full exhaust, and ls9x clutch with remote bleeder. that includes labor, and the car was done in 3 days, and has run flawlessly for the past 6 months. who's the dumbass?
  10. should have bought an automatic :dumb: or a car that makes race car drivers out of dentists and dr's :dumb: should have gotten AWD. i left an fbody so hard at a light i couldn't stop laughing for the next 5 minutes :dumb:
  11. well it took first place in the "which one of my four 500+ hp cars do i want to drive to work today?" showdown.:fuckyeah: that was a december 31 issue.
  12. you'll get 20 different opinions from 20 different people. i store 3 cars all winter long, and have done so for years. my garage is set at 60 degrees---haha--probably the most important thing i start the cars once a month---no reason to do it every week, or every other week. and i let them get fully warmed up, back them out into the driveway and back in, so that the wheels don't get flat spots. i make sure the tires are inflated fully. the cars get a full tank of gas at the beginning of winter, and a fresh tank of gas in the spring. also, fresh oil change in the spring as well as any other fluids that need changed. battery tender hooked up all winter, and cars covered. that's it, no other b.s.
  13. i can't help it nissan made a car that is easy to drive fast. should they have made it more difficult to drive or something?? funny, you're the first one to cry about wheel hop, bald tires, and every other reason why you're twin turbo vette sucks balls, and then dog a car that has none of those issues---like somehow its not a true sports car because its not a stick, and is not plagued with other issues that come down to poor engineering, poor modification selection, or driver error. personally, i got the car so that i could share my hobby with my wife, as i just don't see her learning to drive stick properly. i still have a 580rwhp 6speed z06 and '13 gt500 (for now) to satisfy my desire to manually shift with a clutch
  14. have you ever driven a GTR, riden in one, or seen one in person?? i try not to slam a car too much (except the BRZ) until i've had a chance to drive/ride in it. especially a car as capable as the one you're dogging. its not as easy to drive as people think. fuck, i nearly spilled my starbucks the other morning as i let my foot off the brake and matted the 'go pedal' to leave some unsuspecting prick at a stoplight who decided to rev at me.
  15. although i'm flattered, i will have to politely decline your offer.
  16. GODZLLA all the other versions are taken
  17. i need to see at least 500hp from the base model. chevy needs to upgrade their automatic, upgrade the seats, upgrade the interior, and keep round taillights to gain my interest. who the fuck wants a camaro rear end?
  18. lol. i had to take the face paint off. left the outfit on, and put the eye patch on!!:fuckyeah: snow tires just showed up today. oddly, i bought them off some guy from dublin who just sold his white gtr. just waiting for the spare wheels to show up, and its time to plow through some wisconsin snow
  19. haha. yeah, it was pretty funny, yet annoying at the same time with the first dealership. the salesman was talking about the GTR he owned--even showed me pictures, yet wouldn't even consider letting me test drive one, or budge on the crazy markup on the car. i left with a smile knowing these idiots just passed up the opportunity to sell a car with literally no haggling/hassle--i was ready to pay MSRP, and buy the car right off the lot, checkbook in hand. thanks i love the color. trust me, the inlaws situation irritates me, but not as much as you would think. whenever i'm forced (indirectly) to pay for stuff on their trip, i simply buy something incredibly selfish for myself, because, why not. definitely looks incredible up close
  20. ! i love blue cars. couldn't deal with black again, not a huge fan of red/white, and i was pretty disappointed when i saw the 'super silver' color in person. that, and i already have dark gray cars, so the choice was obvious had it shipped back. my father in law offered to help me drive it back, but the wife would have killed my flying back with all 3 kids by herself. i get somewhat irritated when i'm on vacation with the inlaws because i pay for EVERYTHING, literally. its a point of contention with me and my wife every trip. so once in a while on vacation, i'll make some totally ridiculous purchase just because i can---kind of like a mini 'fuck you' to the inlaws, if that makes sense. i had been considering it for a week or two prior, but the pirate outfit made for the perfect opportunity. best part about it was that the dealership was busy as hell when i got there. not the usual for me, but i've been known to make some reasonably irresponsible purchases with very little thought put into it. so far, i don't regret this one. the roads are horrible, and i can still tell this car is flat-out nuts. i plan on driving this car all summer too. my wife already told me i can get an exhaust system. little does she know the exhaust kit comes with down pipes, midpipe, injectors, pumps, intake and a tuner. :lolguy:
  21. yes, i do hip and knee replacements mainly
  22. gonna keep it stock for the winter. looking at full exhaust kits, intake/down pipe, injectors, pumps, and a tuner. should be good for 100rwhp more we'll see though. i plan on driving this beast all winter:fuckyeah: thanks for the comments guys
