  1. broke the stock clutch under normal driving conditions with my 3 kids in the car with 171 miles on it----car was at the stealership 3 weeks being fixed---kids and i were stranded for 3 hours, when i had to round at the hospital tires are so crazy--skinny, the car gets zero traction--its actually dangerous to drive here in wisconsin. the tires only respond when heated up. if i want to have fun with the car AT ALL, i have to do a small burnout to get any traction in second gear. vibration under the car from the stupid assembly tabs on the midpipe broken latch on the center console rear end whine started at 500 miles, and got so loud i took the car to the dealer again with 1600 miles, as it was simply unbearable. now the car needs a new ring/pinion, and hopefully that takes care of it. brakes squeal at low speeds---just annoying as shit for a $70k car to do that aside from the stupid problems i've had with the car it feels heavier than my cts-v for some reason. the suspension feels years behind the MR suspension of GM. positive points of the GT500----the car's exhaust is simply perfect when stock---sounds amazing. if you can hook in 1st the car is scary-fast, and easy to powershift. recaros are awesome, maybe even better than the caddy's. why the fuck can't gm put these in the vette, i have no idea. glass roof looks good as well. track modes, launch control, gauges are cool---i haven't owned the car long enough to try these fucking things. i'm seriously contemplating a lawyer at this point, as i feel i've gotten a lemon. the GM dealership has no date for the ring/pinion for me---what the fuck does that mean?? they said there is some kind of revision or something. whatever. only a fool would buy this car over a c6z---just my $.02, but my experience has been awesome with the vette---shitty with the stang
  2. 578rwhp/524rwtq. its insane. so much power, so much fun from 60-120mph, so much brakes, so much turns, so much sex appeal. my cam is VERY streetable. i've ruined cars before by doing too much. this car is perfect. i have the ls9x clutch too---lighter than stock feel, full driveability, with the remote bleeder. i'd much sooner part with my GT500. the caddy and vette are keepers for sure.
  3. wife (yes) kids (yes) no limit to my toys (yes) get the c6z----port/mill the heads with upgraded hardware, full exhaust, cam, clutch, intake==not many cars can touch it. gt500-----nothing but headaches for me. if i could do it over again, i'd simply pulley my cts-v and basically have a GT500. then i'd buy something exotic.
  4. i like it, i'd rock one for sure. if it comes with AWD, it would be a no-brainer for me. anyone not thinking GM is in the performace car business needs their head examined. my V is the best car i've ever driven---period. it feels 10 times lighter, more in control compared with the GT500 i just bought. the car looks sexy as hell with the big grill and raised hood--GM styled the car perfectly. once the tires are warmed up, the car is an absolute 'rape machine' from light to light with the auto, and i'm bone stock. when i took my vette to chicago to mod it, the owner of the shop had a pulleyed cts-v with cooling mods and drag radials---he routinely ran low 11's with the simplest of mods. his license plate was "60 footr"----these cars roll out like a mother and keep pulling well into the 100's. like me, he preferred the V over the vette for all but the most extreme driving
  5. everyone just looked back to your intro thread to see how you actually made it on this site.
  6. what kind of 'comment' are you looking for?? for $20k, you are not anywhere near porsche territory, fyi. buy a c5, and enjoy
  7. when you have cars like that, you pay someone, to call someone else, to pick your car up, take it to the shop for maintenance.

    C6 Drag Pak

    Will these fit a c6z06?
  9. i have no access to facebook---still waiting on my free obama phone
  10. no more dirty jobs----- because there will be no more jobs------period --obama '12
  11. if you have to ask, you just don't get it. my next sports car could easily be a ferrari
  12. he's pretty much everything that's wrong with this country.
  13. lol. forgot how hard it is to get that nasty shit in the 'weaker' parts of the country. i take for granted how simple/easy it is to get alcohol anytime/anywhere/anywhich way you want in wisconsin. every grocery store has a full-bore liquor department where you can get everclear for $12, and even kegs--at the grocery store. you want a bottle of whiskey at 6 am on sunday with your donuts?? done.
  14. wow, i guess i won't ever shop at target again :dumb: holy christ, this thread is fucking pathetic. i should charge you for the time it took me to read this failed abortion of a thread. dickwad.
  15. i rocked a 3.0 pulley, but had a catted midpipe, stock headers---maybe that's why i made a bit more torque?? i made 530, tq and 590 rwhp.
  16. sounds alot like my old whippled cobra. i swapped in an auto/solid rear, and suddenly, the car became 'not fun' to drive unless you were racing. i also had an '05 GTO with about the same power as yours. crazy, but i miss the GTO just a little more than the cobra.
  17. no worries. it is definitely impressive what someone with skill can do with so little. i'd love to rock one of these cars some day. total sleeper
  18. while its absolutely amazing what can be done when someone knows a platform/engine combo, and has the fabrication skills he has, and has a ton of parts laying around-----if you have to ask the above question, you just don't get it.
  19. you get what you pay for. the best doctors out there are cash-only, and accept no insurance what-so-ever. they are all over la, new york, chicago, etc, and make millions---and guess what?? they deserve every fucking penny. when dr's get paid less and less, they have to see more and more patients, do more and more surgeries. that means they spend less time with patients, use physician assistants more and more. that's a reality---you think its going to get any better considering the decreased reimbursement the obama plan has laid out for us?? the majority of my practice comprises medicare patients. ever since the '80's, the government has been steadily decreasing reimbursement for medicare services. name one job out there where the pay has decreased steadily over the past 30 years?? the procedure i do the most paid over $5,000 in the 80's. it now pays $1300. that pays for the preoperative visit, the surgery, seeing the patient for 3 days in the hospital, and seeing them for 3 months after the surgery. after i pay 40% of that for my overhead/insurance/etc, i'm left with $780. after uncle obama takes 30%, i'm left with $546. the government has twice come close to passing a law cutting medicare reimbursement by 28%---this will instantaneously FORCE most non-salary physicians to drop medicare. would you put $550 in your dr's hand if he was able to make your mother/grandmother walk again?? next time someone makes a thread titled "pray for my ______, they had a heart attack", realize that cardiologists lose money when they perform a cardiac catheterization on a medicare patient. they are actually paying to help your loved one.
  20. and you end up with physicians who don't give a shit about taking their time and doing a good job.
  21. everyone (myself included) who bought a stock cobra would ignore suspension mods, and simply port/pulley/intake/exhaust the car and make 500+rwhp with zero effort. these cars didn't put the power down well when stock, let alone with 140rwhp more. they just wouldn't run well, as a result. once my car got suspension mods, and the solid rear, it was completely different
  22. i'll consider it (seriously). my buddy has his coming in december, and that will help me decide :fuckyeah:
  23. seems foolish i know. i just can't enjoy a stickshift car if 1st gear gets me to the legal speed limit on most highways, and second gear almost gets you triple digits. first order of business is a set of 18" rear wheels and more rubber. then all the power mods i have planned, and possibly gears at some point.
