  1. Meh. Whenever I see pics of a chick in playboy I have to take into account all the technology that is used to make her look good. After all of that, she still kind of looks meh, imo. I realize after all the drugs, partying, etc, she probably looks fairly aweful in person, or without makeup. I still don't mind looking at the pics. Thanks for the link
  2. Bullshit. People who protect the country are paid to do so. If you don't like it, don't sign the fucking dotted line. Firemen risk their lives, so do police men--its called a job. There are plenty of perks to being in the armed forces, but in the end, its a job. Am I thankful for them?? Yes. Do they deserve exemptions from the law? Never
  3. If you're going to buy a separate weekend warrior, then the audi is a pretty decent choice for a daily that will see snow. My buddy's v8 s5 has well over 30k miles, with no problems as far as I know. He has a billy boat exhaust, that sounds incredible. He's had zero issues in two loooooong wisconsin winters. Even his wife couldn't kill my wife and I leaving a dinner night last year when she decided to take her hands completely off the steering wheel when the car slid a bit in 4" of fresh snow--i was impressed with the way the car handled the snow. And I've been impressed with the automatic in sport mode. I'm an american car guy to the core--you can imagine how much it kills me to admit I like his car
  4. Welcome to the site. Great intro, cool cars. Damn that wing is huge bro. Careful with low overpasses, you don't want to get that thing snagged
  5. Congrats. Just finished swapping my buddy's winter tires back onto his s5. Hard to imagine he's driven the car for two winters here with zero issues
  6. Will prob be my next car, or my winter car
  7. The trans is a built 4r70w, made by tci. They call it their 'streetfighter'. Should be called 'piece of shit'. I've had the tranny out of the car 6 times for various reasons from the front pump grenading, to the convertor, to the transmission itself burning up. I've finally got things sorted out hopefully. I would never ever do business with tci again. Their customer service was atrocious. In the end, it took a letter from a lawyer to get them to finally honor the warranty. The car has a mach1 computer, so that the transmission can shift on its own, or manually with the ratchet shifter I plan on running a 15" wheel with probably some et streets
  8. got to get the launch down, and some more seat time. but i'm shooting for 10's. the car ran 11.4 at 129mph with full weight, IRS, and the 6 speed--this was the second, and last time at the track in florida for the NMRA shootout. not impressive at all, but i'm no expert at drag racing and will be the first to admit it. first time at the strip in columbus, with the whipple, i couldn't even get the car into the 11's. i had sold my ported blower to silveraudimike on here, and he smoked me all day long. just need to find time to practice
  9. i'll get some pics of the house and the tree later today. up here, i get everything up right after thanksgiving---the kids go nuts, and it avoids doing it in the snow.
  10. before the auto 590rwhp/575rwtq. couldn't get the converter to cooperate on the dyno to get accurate numbers with the auto, but the setup is exactly the same. its a 17lb pulley, that usually gets about 18 to 18.5psi, especially in the cold up here the car has stock exhaust manifolds, bassani catted midpipe, and SLP power-flo catback (not the loudmouth system).
  11. i need to get it to the track for sure. need to make just a few suspension changes, big/skinny tire combo, and a little weight loss.
  12. finally got my 2004 cobra back home. hopefully, all the tranny issues have been sorted out. as it sits, the car is a 2.3 whippled cobra, with a built auto, solid rear, and supporting mods. got a chance to head to canada (of all places), for a few quick runs before the snow sets in all kinds of wheel spin
  13. welcome to the site. post some pics of that 205hp beast. all joking aside, the '96-98 GT's are not worth modding, unless you're willing to open up the motor and do some serious modifications. depending on your goals/budget, it might be cheaper in the long run to just keep that as a daily, and buy a different car to turn into a track car (used foxbody).
  14. thousands of women battered every year. and i've been eating them 'plain' all this time.:fuckyeah:
  15. sure, he pushed the guy's helmet into the ground, and put a half-assed, WWF-style stomp on his arm----something that probably didn't hurt the other player one bit. he was not doing it because he was being held down. he did it because a man 2/3 his size flattened his ass (legally) the previous play--he was frustrated, and acted immaturely. what made it worse was the press conference, and claiming it was an accident---wtf?? seriously?? did he watch it on replay before saying that?? he should have just said "it was completely wrong of me to do what i did. i want to formally apologize to evan smith for what i did. as well as my teammates, and the fans at home and in the stadium who were watching the game." and then agreed to go to anger management counseling, pay the fine to the NFL, and a matching amount to a charity that supports battered women.
  16. everyone's a packer fan up here. its like being a buckeye in columbus--everything shuts down while the packers are playing.
  17. my kids' vote for a cts-v http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/3788/dsc00233wb.jpg
