  1. Was it a super car in 2001 though?
  2. I use Robinhood. No complaints so far.
  3. She is on track for loan forgiveness, which is scary enough...so as far as we were told, our 'cheapest' option was still astronomical, since I had paid off my federal loans....I guess they just thought they'd take that amount and then some.
  4. Seems fine as always. We only ever had deductions for kid, daycare, and loan interest...all of which are always capped pointlessly low. We actually filed separately this year so to lower the Mrs' income-driven student loan payments. Banking on the couple-thousand-dollar loss in return, in favor of substantially lower monthly payments (because fuck $730/month on one loan) We will still get back a few grand anyway.
  5. Yeah, I was hoping it would hit 20...was wanting to cash out and see about a drop.
  6. +1 on CRON....Damn it I should have bought a LOT more.
  7. While my very first car was an old 4cy Cavalier, I took good care of it and pretty much one day dad showed up with 5.0L Mustang GT. (I was car shopping, and was shocked he even considered this thing) Needless to say it was a solid YES from me. When we bought it it had a dumped exhaust, those blackout light covers, ect...pretty ridiculous at 17....though they are stupid slow. This went on to be my brothers very first car. He lived.
  8. Haha youre right. Completely missed that. D'oh!
  9. Hmm...Kerry posted in here twice and didnt share 15 Craigslist examples of decent buys. Can they be had for 4-5k?
  10. Sounds like a great idea! Especially if you and he can wrench (I automatically assume so being on CR) That or a Cherokee, but a Wrangler definitely has a lot more of said Character. You will get 70% of the comments about it being safe or not, but that is YOUR decision as none of us know your son. Though it would suck to roll it and kill someone elses kid...not sure just how much more dangerous it is than a POS Civic or the like. Being "part of the community" I would urge you guys to take it offroading with a local club somewhere. Nothing can help anyone learn the limits of a vehicle like taking it through challenging terrain. Get a good feel for any tippyness and tire placement. Translates to everyday driving IMO
  11. You are right, something like this does seem like a decent deal....They are going for about the same used https://www.coughlincirclevillegm.com/new-Columbus-2018-Chevrolet-Silverado+1500-LT-3GCUKREC1JG605631 and cheaper still if you like chrome https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-Chevrolet-Silverado-1500-Springfield-d630_L27468?sourceContext=shareLink_true_0#listing=209093419
  12. What is making this a toy? My buddy had a black 5-speed one which was a lot of fun (2WD, so street truck more or less)...just wondering which direction youre going with it...seems like they can be done many ways!
  13. Ours didnt http://www.thedrive.com/news/26037/instant-karma-snowman-vandal-plows-into-giant-tree-stump http://imagesvc.timeincapp.com/v3/foundry/image/?q=70&w=1440&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftimedotcom.files.wordpress.com%2F2019%2F01%2F20190117-snowman-hero.jpg%3Fquality%3D85 not ours
  14. Meh, weather it's 2" or 9", it seems most will just be overnight so the snow aspect seems mute...just dig out sunday and carryon. Its any initial ice I do wonder about.
  15. Since the highs are in the mid 30's I think it will really lessen the snow totals. Rain will knock down all last weeks accumulation.
  16. What a time to be alive...even if you cant shift it :fa:
  17. It sure doesnt look "All new"
