  1. Isnt this one and the same with the gas tax? I'll keep my front plates thank you. They are already on there.
  2. Yeah I have the $70 Harbor Freight one and its even been great. I use the little soap attachment and while it is NOT foam, it does a decent job. If I did it again I would still get a cheapo one, but one with a "real" wand so you can change out the nozzles...the HF one is not such a machine.
  3. Seems like the pre-purchase inspection would have caught that. I assume they had paid some sort of independent inspection?
  4. Oh.... Then I would just add some of those Firestone air bags, one of those antisway hitch doohickeys, and STILL a transmission cooler if your OEM one is part of the radiator. I added one to my FJ (which technically has a trans cooler) and am now consistently seeing temps 40, 50, 60 degrees below what they used to be, and I am not even towing! This is epically important if you plan to tow offroad in any way. That will tax the shit out of your trans.
  5. The question is what totally kills the tow rating without the tow package? Is the suspension/brakes/trans weaker, ect?...or is it simply lack of a good trans/oil cooler or something (which you could and SHOULD add)? (Trans cooler will blow your mind) 3000# is a substantial difference.
  6. haha, well the gub'ment is still going to make a ton of money off us in the end. Not to mention the couple grand I simply gave up had we filed together.
  7. Right, but why pay a shop to deal with the actual broken bolts. Warranty that bitch, have the dealer deal with the mess, then whatever shop will have a cake job with new bolts to deal with. Sell brand new warrantied parts (if there are any). Dodge has a 5yr/100K mile Powertrain warranty. Those usually include manifolds. Now I dont know this shop to really say, but as an assumption, most of these offroad shops typically only like to install brand new fancy shocks, roof-top tents, lighting ect. They typically dont mess with common-folk parts replacements, especially with customer provided parts (cuts their profits out).
  8. YES. Filing separately this year really paid off before: after:
  9. Damn it that looks like a great buy. Much want. No monies.
  10. I think that was referring to 1999. Now its all redeveloped, half-million-dollar lofts, restaurants and bars.

  12. There are harnesses and junk near the battery that might have gotten knocked loose or corroded and broke. If it is like the Tacomas and FJs there is a heatsink looking resistor somewhere near behind the headlight near battery. The resistor is for the DRLs but the headlight system basically runs through that harness and such. Might check on those connections at least.
  13. I gotta ask, are you the one property that just sits right in the middle of this field?! https://www.thisweeknews.com/news/20190212/canal-winchester-deal-would-open-land-for-kansas-city-development
  14. I kind of wonder how many potential investments Cash for Clunkers may have killed. There are no cheap (but likely) decent cars still around it seems. That 5 speed Lumina on the Craigslist thread got me thinking. (not saying THAT is an investment per se) Like all the hidden barns full of 60's muscle guys were able to "put away" for cheap....seems like there could have been some cheap v8's and shit that might be worth something someday, all crushed.
