  1. What a difference in experiences....

I love going to MAG, they treat you like a king, and are uber friendly. I love hanging out and chatting with the guys while they grab me a loaner. Never had any issues at all.

Like I said, personal experiences always differ. I guess it depends on who you are. However I am not sure I will ever buy another car from a dealership that has a Spa? Oh and a loaner? I could never get a loaner, of course this has been years ago. I still take cars I have for sale up there, and well same experiences. At least they don't treat everyone like that.

Back to the SHO, I am eager to drive a new one. Maybe get my buddy at a certain dealership take one out for a track day. Let's see how long the brakes will hold up.

  2. Wow, this is hilarious! I am so happy to have owned my SHO's. They were not perfect, however when I went to the Ford dealership back in the day they were polite, and fixed my SHO for a reasonable price. My Audi, well the asshats at MAG make you feel beneath them, and then call you with an 8 billion dollar estimate for an ass sized system monitor sensor in the seat<---this term used to express my distaste for the situation. Don't know guys, but we all have personal opinions. Just expressing a personal experience.

    SHO FTW

  3. I looked it up on Manheim Market Report, and the 13k-15k seems to be about accurate. Now all of the cars on Manheim went through other auctions(none from Ohio on the Manheim Report). However even at the Lauderdale/Miami auto auction 31k did $13,600. So there is some info for your decision.

However, from experience if you do not have to sell it, don't. You will more than likely regret it. Maybe adjust something else budget wise, and accumulate the money over time. I also agree that the car is just a number to a financial planner. However a car like that is not just a number.

    Good Luck

  4. I have had numerous insurance claims, they are always made out to me and the shop that gave the estimate. Insurance companies hate the thought that customers would be putting money in their pocket. I know it is for fraud reasons, but anyway. I have always just endorsed the check and put it in the bank, waited for it to clear, and that's it. Never had a problem, but I know they have become stricter on some policies.
  5. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/93/l_ef30549d7ee7ea924a70b24964dd8f07.jpgI have an 03 Honda VTX 1800 C with just over 6k on it. Beautiful bike, great ride. The bike is in excellent condition with a few extras. Illusion blue paint which is in great shape. This bike has most of the chrome covers you can get for it i.e. caliper covers, master cylinder covers, fork shields, radiator shroud. I have saddle bags, seat back rest, Memphis Shades windshield. Mechanical upgrades include custom air intake, Vance&Hines Big Shot pipes, and Power Commander III w/USB. I do not have to sell it, just never have the time to ride anymore. The only thing I can think of that it may need is a front tire. This bike has never let me down, and is very comfortable to ride. Really do hate to get rid of it, however I can no longer justify keeping it without ever using it. I think I have put maybe 800 miles on in the last two seasons. Every year it fires right up. Price is $6900 OBO. Interested, send me a PM
  6. Thanks for the kind words. I'm gonna pass on the trade though as I hope to never get rid of any of the cars I've currently got. I get too attached to them!

    Andy

I know the feeling. As much as I would like to have that FRC I would not sell my Vette. I will just keep on the Stang project for track fun.

Although if I get another Porsche, they will have to take it from my cold dead hands.

  7. Do yourself a favor and go get a good lawyer to help you. If he cant beat the case he can get it reduced to a lesser charge.

You need a lawyer it will be worth it...

This is correct. Your Lawyer can go in the courtroom and talk to the prosecutor and they actually listen to what he/she has to say. When you as a defendant talk to them all they hear is blah blah blah.

Asking for the video is a good idea, but then again that is something easier accomplished by an attorney. However, I would be more inclined to pay the ticket since the officer was nice enough to only write you up for speed.

Oh, and don't forget, the judge is a factor in this too. No matter what kind of deal you make the judge has to be ok with it.

    Good luck!

  8. No im definitely talking about the bullshit of flying around the lot and not respecting other people's cars in the process (leaning on something thats not yours with a studded belt). God forbid someone is acting a fool trying to roll into a spot like ace ventura and miscalculates their brake package and really screws up my car. Last time I went with the Mitsu I left with two extra dents in the passenger door from someone jacking their door into mine.

OK glad I misunderstood your position. I completely agree with you. Nice on the door dings, however do not forget the inevitable......I will park my Vette at the very end of the lot and some asshat will roll in in a Delta 88 full of kids and park next to it. NICE CARS ARE NEVER SAFE!

  9. oh trust me I could give a flying fuck, hence why I could careless to race either car. I will rally the lancer just because I know it will be fun as fuck, and thats on personal joy alone. It's nothing against any of you guys, you all seem cool as shit, but it will probably be a couple of meets before I roll the R out. From what I saw at polaris a few weeks ago... not exactly the crowd you want to roll a car like that out to. When people can't handle/ appreciate the hunk of junk they have at these meets, how can I expect them to respect MY 80k baby? The cars and coffee is probably where it will make an appearance.

I love both of my cars to death. My last g/f broke up with me I swear because she was threatened by the R and how much attention I give it.

Two things here....All I will say is I hope I have misunderstood? Are you insulting the cars you have seen at the meets i.e. hunks of junk? Now some people cannot afford 80k. Is your car superior because it cost 80k? Like I said I hope I misunderstood? Now if you are talking about random horrible driving and acts of lunacy at a meet, well then I understand where you are coming from.

As for what you paid for it....yeah I don't think anyone cares? Other than the fact people bitch about a Corvette for 100k, yet noone ever posted that debate about an 80k glorified 240SX. OK I'm not going to bust your balls anymore, I don't have one, and my Vette is inferior. Just look forward to seeing it out sometime, badass car.

Oh and lookout, I think Kirk's Sentra has NAAS. After all it is a GXE model
