  1. I did it last year, tons of fun. Decided this year it was a bad idea though, snow+being sick+really cold water just doesn't add up. And yea, the birthday suits are always a good time too.
  2. I'm pretty sure that Gymkhana is what autocross evolved from. It's more focused on driving skill and style than fastest time. Found some good info here: http://www.gymkhanausa.com/what_is_gymkhana.html
  3. Enjoying the fact that I don't have class tomorrow.
  4. Who needs them? I think my car is one of the most summer-only vehicles ever and I still drive it all year. You can't appreciate a RWD car until you get some good packed snow .
  5. Ben, what happened to that S2K you were running? Why the switch?

  7. I think cold turkey is the best way to go. I decided to try and quit for the first time last sunday, and so far I haven't had one nor have I wanted to have one. The mints idea works well too, keep some altoids or something tasty in your pocket, and have one everytime you think about having a cigarette. Also, a neat thing to do is take the money you would spend on cigs every week or two, save it up and buy yourself something fun. It's not easy to do, but it is definitely possible. I'll probably be an irritable ass for the next month or so, but I already feel better health wise and it's only been a few days.
  8. For all interested, the picture on this model is wonderful. My roommate has the same TV, and watching the game in HD is just awesome. It's also light as hell, real easy to move. Good luck on the sale.
  9. Manuals are a lot less common than autos as well. When I worked at the Toyota dealership I only drove a handful of manuals, seemed like almost all of them were auto. Not sure if there were more Vibe's in manual though...
  10. Until you guys have lived in the snowbelt, you have no idea what heavy snow really is. My biggest disappointment with moving down here was the lack of 5 and 6 foot snow drifts. About ten years ago we had a big storm that brought over 4 feet of snow if I remember right. Back then that was up to the top of my head.
  11. Damn that's awesome, nothing better than free stuff.
  12. If you can afford it, go with the Speed3. My dad just got one, and it's one of the best car's out there right now for the money. Plus they are damn quick. Of course if all you're looking for is something small that gets great MPG, I guess the Fit would work better. I'm pretty sure Honda may do this whole "can't keep them on the lot" thing on purpose to keep a constant demand for them, and so they have an excuse to not budge on the MSRP. Same thing happened when my parents bought their Honda Odyssey in 1999.
  13. That may be true, but think about how many other people are applying for the same position. Many of those people have probably never stolen anything and have a perfectly clean record. So if you were in a manager's position, which would you pick? The kid who may have fucked up once, even if it's something stupid like christmas lights, or the kid who has a clean record? There is nothing to keep the manager from thinking you could do something dumb again. It's easier for him to just hire the guy with nothing on his record and not have to even worry about it.
  14. I know, I was referring to the second post.
  15. A few days ago I noticed a small piece of dirt on my screen. Tried to wipe it off, realized it's gotten in between the LCD and the outside layer of the screen. Is there any easy (i.e. inexpensive) way to get this removed, or is it just stuck there? It's not really a huge deal, it's near the bottom of the screen and it's not huge, it's just sort of annoying and I didn't know if there were places that could take it apart and remove it.
  16. I couldn't figure it out either. Someone must be watching too much Dog the Bounty Hunter .
  17. 1. Radiohead 2. Pink Floyd 3. The Beatles 4. Led Zeppelin 5. Elliott Smith 6. Crosby Stills Nash and Young 7. America 8. Dungen 9. Streetlight Manifesto 10. Weezer 11. The Bravery 12. Tom Waits 13. Dream Theater
  18. Woot is possibly the greatest site for deals ever. Too bad I never have any money by the time a Woot Off comes around.
  19. Thank you for making my night with that comment.
  20. Isn't that just after a certain time at night? I thought that's what I read somewhere but I don't remember. Either way it's probably for the best, most 16 year olds can't afford to buy anything there anyways
  21. I had Sprint when I lived up near Cleveland, and got great coverage. But I've heard the coverage down here isn't all that great. Now I have Alltel, and I get service almost everywhere I go, and the bill is pretty consistent so I can't really complain.
  22. Not my kind of music, but I can respect that they do what they do very well. I've yet to go to the Schott for a concert, how is it?
  23. I'll say. I think we would have won it easily if it weren't for his inhuman pitching ability. And now we have to play away games which are going to be a little tougher. But yea, I still think we'll get it done.
  24. Grab the album "Night Ripper" by Girl Talk. If you search it up on Wikipedia you can find out more about him. I almost never listen to anything close to rap, but this stuff is all mixes of rap, old school rock, etc.
  25. Another win in the bag!! One more win and it's off to the world series. I can't even wait.
