Vehicle- 2002 - 2500HD, 4x4, crew cab ,short bed, 8.1, Allison Tranny, 4:10 rear. This all started after I had a local well known tire shop mount and balance my new tires and do a front end alignment. They told me I needed one upper drivers side ball joint, both inner tie rods, idler arm, pitman arm , I was like what are you talking about I have no bad signs thru the steering at all. I'm curious what is the best or should I say proper way to check to see if the idler and pitman arm are going bad. I know I have one bad ball joint the drivers upper all the rest seem tight. I checked the idler and pitman with the truck on the ground weight on the tires with a large crow bar by placing the bar between the idler and pitman joints to see if I could get movement up and down. I could not see anything that stood out,no bad movement. I also had someone move the steering wheel back and forth while I looked at everything . I did get movement out of the upper drivers side ball joint. The truck has 105,000 miles and it drives perfect, tracks a straight line,no pulling,no vibration. I passed on the front end alignment ,paid them for the mount and balance and that was that. Seems like they were just tring to put the scare in me. What a joke. I just got rid of the stock wheels and replaced them with H2 Hummer wheels and 295 70 17 Hankooks. It drives like new right now and the steering is responsive when you turn the steering wheel. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/000_0981.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/000_0980.jpg

I just got thru removing 3 feet of water in my crawl space. My insurance man told me it was because of all the heavy snow we had and it seeped thru foundation block. I have gotten all the water out and I have a large fan blowing underneath to dry things out. It also wiped out all my flexible duct work for my furnace, so I need new duct work and furnace. The sump pump is first though before I go any further. My crawl is alot taller than most, you can kneel down and even squat if you are small. I would like to find someone who could do the pump and check out my foundation. Can anyone refer me to anyone who they may have had work done by before. Otherwise I will have to just open up phone book which I dont like doing.

Nothing special on the outside, but nice inside. With this being has heavy has it is it needs all that power. I bet it gets 10mpg but then the average owner of these boats do not care about milage. -
Those wheels have a deep dish. What size are they.

It looks just ok in my book. A little to much wheel for the small car (IMO) I do like the SP's because they have less of the bling affect. I still like these the most though but I could be a little biased http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/P1030402.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/P1030406.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/000_0797.jpg

Yep a lot of these guys buy these aftermarket wheels with out researching off sets first and end up with funky loooking set ups. I know a guy that has a real nice harley edition dodge hemi 4x4 and his aftermarket wheels stick out to far for my taste. That michelin is a nice tire but I should stay with 17's I like more rubber on the road with a big truck.

Not good.

255 85 16 not many choices though and hard to find.

Well I found a set on craigslist for 350 that I'm thinking about. 17x8.5. I need to check them out.

I had them in mind actually. Probably get with him on monday. Not having much luck finding H2 Hummer wheels. Cant believe GM puts a 6.5" rim on a 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab.

thanks !

Wow I needed a good laugh tonight. 33 inch mud tires/ 4x4 4x4 . I am at a lost for words right now. Funny stuff though.

Can this be moved to the swap meet area. Thanks !

Thanks but 20's are to big . H2 Hummer wheels is what I would like to find. Searching right now for them. Somebody find me a set,LOL. 17x8 or 9 would be great. Then I could run a 305 70

Looking for a set of 16x8 or 17x8 wheels to replace my stockers. Stock wheels are only 6.5 wide on these trucks:rolleyes: and I want to run a 285 75 16 or 17 tire. I know some people run this tire size on the factory wheel and just lower the tire psi down a little and i might do this but it would it better on a wider wheel. It is also an 8 lug.

Traps and moth balls going to do both.

encoder motor senser was bad - cause dam mice got into the underhood fuse box and made a nest and chewed some wires to cause a short which was burning up the sensers. The truck sits in a pole barn most of the winter. I guess I need to take some steps to prevent this from happening again. Thought my cat was taking care of this but Im going to have to fire him and do it myself maybe just start the truck and move it around more. Maybe some decon ? under the hood . Open to suggestions if anyone has had a problem like this.

What I hear when pushing the switch buttons on the dash is the motor in the transfer case ! correct ? Im thinking the actuator is bad now because I can hear the motor working and I know the switch is working. I think the actuator is locked up in one position. Does this sound logical ? I do not have any service engine lights on so can you still pull a code ? The service 4x4 light is on though.

I have a 02 2500HD 4x4 with the electronic 4x4 switchs on the dash. The last time i put it in 4hi it stayed their. The 4 wheel works fine , just will not go back to 2wheel. When you push the 2 wheel button it just lights up and returns back to 4 hi. Now when I push the button I can hear something engaging also. Also it will only try to do the switch over after you turn the key on and off ,after it is running it does nothing when you hit the buttons. I just replaced the dash switch with a new one which did not help. Been reading up on the actuator, solenoid, and a module now my brain is fried. .Any suggestions.

This is a nice single bed for any child or even older child. It is a nice outfit in good condition, 3 large drawers in the bottom with a 3 shelf bookcase headboard. Headboard and bed frame are 2 separate pieces. I am sure I paid at least $500 or more for this bed, selling for $150 http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/GetAttachment.jpg

Just click on sit and go and you will see all of the tourneys they have 1 table or multi tables. Best bang for your buck and you get a lot of practice this way also if you are new to the game. I have won plenty of these from 20 bucks into the hundreds with a very small buy in.
