Just curious to get some input on this 03 Z06 with these mods. I have seen them for less but usually they are bone stock. I would like to find one for 20-22k but not having any luck . Wonder what a set of trick flow heads would do for this set up.

Thats some good info. I knew the engines were forged but I did not know what parts they used for the build. I might take you guys up on the test drive offers. Hal I will be giving you a call. I am sure you know these cars inside and out. The vette is what I am leaning towards. I found a couple of vettes I might be talking to you guys about.

To make a long story short I sold my WS6 to get into a C5 Z06. My plan was to buy an already done heads/cam Z06. My 2nd plan if I could not find a well built modded one was to buy a stocker and do the cam upgrade with a set of headers,etc,etc. They are a simple and very reliable car that handle and perform well with or without upgrades that is why I like them. After seeing some 03-04 cobra's making crazy power I must say they have my attention buy I don't know a whole lot about them and what to look for when buying one. The common problems and the maintenance is what I need info on from you guys that own these. Both cars are in about the same price range depending on what has been done to them. Most of the cobras have had pulley swaps and other thing done to them. Are the bottom end of these engines strong enough to hold that much power ? What about the stock tranny and rear differentials.

Dam that picture makes me think twice now about getting a 02-04 Z06. Cobra vs C5 Z06 what a dilemma I have here. Cobra = easy power + back seat. C5 Z06 well its a Z06 what more can you say.

German Shepherd/Collie Mix about 3 years old and 32 pounds. Very Lovable, loves belly rubs, and going for walks. Very Loyal. Doesn't get along with other dogs. He has all his shots and is neutered. He has a nice shine to his coat and does not shed. Daughter was going to adopt him from her school, she goes to a vet tech school and they adopt dogs from the Franklin County Humane Society and have them for 6 months then they get adopted out to people. 17k sounds very reasonable. Hard to believe I just sold my 01 WS6 for 16k and for another grand you could buy this. Be sure to ask him how much oil he adds between oil changes. Some 01's could burn oil. I have been looking for an 02-04 Z for a while now. Actually looking into a 06 Z51,6speed also. The prices are coming down still. It does look clean from the picture.

Ebay has a 06 C6 Z51 6 speed,black with comp gray wheels for 28k or best offer. 26k might buy it. C5 Z06 vs C6 Z51 , this will make me think a little harder about a C5 Z.

Thanks ! that black 01 looks clean. The yellow one is also nice. Big plus with the upgraded tranny. I might see what cam he is running it it. I'm picturing the yellow one with black powder coated wheels. Easy fix. I'm not into chrome wheels. I can see this is not going to be easy.

Their is a nice one on ebay but that is new territory for me. It has low miles,mint cond and if I remember around 590 at the crank. My options are open but the vette is calling my name in a strong way. I plan on taking a few long trips with this one.

I'm not hatin on them to much. I have thought about. I know the differance is little to none. Trying to stay under 25k,and their is a lot to choose from for that price. black is my first choice after that it just depends on condition,mods,and milage. Under 30,000 miles is a big plus.Cam and head package is what I'm realy looking for already done.

She's gone:( Now the search starts for a new toy:) Most likely an 02-04 Z06 but I have not ruled out a base model,6speed C6 with the Z51 package and do a cam upgrade. I owned that WS6 for almost 4 years that was a record for me. Anyone know of a clean one let me know.

I'm looking right now for a 02-04 Z06 near ohio but they are all in TX and FL. I found an 02 Z06 with new 402 forged stroker with some big power, I'm tempted . I'm picky though so it might be a while before I find one. I just sold my WS6 and he is picking it up tomorrow. I will be with out a toy for a while. It will be rough.

To be honest I dont see that many on the road and I drive everyday from one job to another. I saw a camaro like yours on Bethol rd yesterday aftermarket wheels ,same color and loud. Middle age guy driving.

dam that sounds like it would hurt,cant really compare it to your situation jason I feel for you. I remember not long ago well a few years I was picking up my huge floor jack and it had a 2 piece handle and guess what yep that top part of the handle seperated itself and it came up and it me right below my left eye. It left a round circle dent in my face and almost put me out. I stlll have a slight scar. I can laugh about now but it was not funny then. The screw backed out . Could have put my eye out.

I will try to get the numbers off of it to look up the amperage if someone is interested.

I used kentucky 31 fescue for my back yard. It is a tough wide blade grass. I live in the sticks and did not need to have a plush blue grass lawn. It will take a beating.

I bought these years ago when I had a gold cup stainless never used them. I had ordered them custom with the silver colt logo. They are sharpley checkered with doulbe diamonds.
