  1. We are working on the car... so it looks like we just might make it.
  2. I run two eliminators on my setup...
  3. I was so excited to find out about this, and now it is on the stands. Check out this issue for some details on the car. Maybe with the changes going in we can talk them into a part 2... http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/gmhtp-cover.jpg
  4. Some of you saw the bridg shots of my car, one was a bridge in plain city the other bridge was at homestead park in Hilliard.
  5. Just got the Mag on Friday and got to read the article(s), Nice read on Ray's article. I was there when they took him to do the photo shoot. What you don't know from behind the scenes is that Ray was kicking himself in the ass because a loose radiator cap made him abandon his obvious win from True street and he was kinda down. The guys that were pitting for him had already asked him for his shoe laces when the guys from GMHTP came over to find him to do the shoot. I guess something good can come out of anything huh Ray? Congrats Bro on the awesome article! You deserve it. (now go buy a grown up truck )
  6. We are both very excited about the coverage in the magazine... Ray, you should tell the story about the cops running you guys off during your photo shoot. I always seem to get my magzine later than everyone else... I hope it is in the box today when I get home.
  7. Cool, I have been waiting for that to come out... mine is not here yet
  8. Yes we did; however, we had him hold the sticker until after paint.
  9. The only interior change this year is the replacement of the stock seats with race seats. I had to replace them so I could fit in the car with the new cage.
  10. I don't know if I would call it easy... cut out the headliner and remove some bolts and it was off... we have to have the headliner re upholstered now to put it back on the car.
  11. Mike Niehaus at 1st Impressions spent many hours navigting the jungle gym to get it to look as it does now. As you can see we had the car pretty much tore apart for him. Reassembly begins this week!
  12. Enjoy the pics... let the reassembly begin! Follow along as we rebuild the car over the next few weeks in preparation of the the upcoming LSX shootout Series! Come by and say hi in Bradenton Florida on March 18-20 Follow along on www.carlyleracing.com http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5260/5426659182_12785aac6f.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5175/5426054317_1282e4945f.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5178/5426660986_f19250fce2.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5255/5426052769_44c70e1108.jpg
  13. Car went to paint today... picking it back up Sunday!
  14. Dropped the car off at the paint shop... Mike Niehouse does all my paint work at 1st Impressions Body shop here in Columbus.... He says it will be ready by the end of the superbowl on Sunday. Pics to come.
  15. Thanks for all the kind words... When I started modding this car back in 07 I said that I wanted to one day be on the cover of GMHTP. Today I finally realized that goal. Now, I just need to get the car back together and run some new times.
  16. When the new copy of GM High Tech Performance comes out this month (should be on news stands in a couple of weeks) you will see my car on the cover and featured in the magazine. The are also giving away a pull out poster of the car in the mag as well. I am told that this issue will also feature Ray's car so it will definately be an issue not to miss.
  17. You know, it has taken a LOT of work and a TON of money to get to where we are with this car right now... I appreciate every sponsor no matter how little they contribute because in the end, every dollar they spend is one I don't have to spend. I wish I could say it was easy to get to this point, but it has taken a LOT of work and I hope that this year it will continue to pay off. I am going to try to make all of the LSX Series races and hopefully be competitive enough to win and/or place at these events so that next year I will have even more sponsors. If you push hard enough and ask enough people, someone will want to put a name on your truck/car.
  18. For the 2011 Season I am pleased to announce that we will be adding 2 new sponsors to the car. ERLPerformance.com will be the new Engine Sponsor and this year I will be running a 427CI ERL Superdeck Block instead of the LSX Block I have been running. This new block will save 125lbs off my old setup and is being setup to support 2200rwhp! http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/erl-logo-300x70.jpg Topping this new bottom end will be AllPro's Heads filled with Jessel Rockers and handling our new Solid roller setup. http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/allpro-2-08-300x136.gif I am going to be planting the power from all these new parts with the same TH400 Transmission and C6Z Rear end from RPMTransmissions that we used last year. http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/rpmtyperpm-300x113.jpg We will be using the best axles and drive shaft you can get from the drive shaft shop http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/images1.jpg and of corse the Turbo Kit that started it all built and tuned by IPSMotorsports.net! http://carlyleracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/72001_478141636436_81134211436_6443608_2096715_n-300x75.jpg As many of you may already know the cage is now done and will be painted this weekend. Our plan is to begin reassembly next week and if everything goes as planned we will be at the first race of the NMCA and LSX Series in Bradenton Florida. We are still working on the final details for the new turbo, but we will be replacing last years 91mm turbo with a 106mm or larger billit bb turbo. Stay tuned as we reassemble the car and I will try to keep updated with pictures and information as available. Also stay tuned to carlyleracing.com for updated information as well.
  19. I'll still drive it on the street .... a little. We are painting the cage this weekend and then we will work on the rest of the interior...
  20. I actually have 2 in the engine bay and one in the cockpit area.
  21. In this picture you can see the fire extinguisher on the left hand side... It is plumbed like Jeff stated above... It sprays me and the engine so hopefully it will either put out the fire or buy me enough time to get out. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5180/5409236632_fc5f1361e5.jpg
