Not that a whole lot of people on here will really care but its pretty cool to see these damn things going this fast. There are now 4 FWD Hondas going 8.50 or faster. Yes I know you're going to say oooh aaaah 8.50's but just watch the damn video haha

You know for all the bitching about the BCS that has occured it very rarely got it wrong. Even when picking the opponent in the Florida/OSU NCG they got it right and that showed on the field that night as much as it pains me to type this.

Yeah but by Zacks way of thinking its better to schedule cupcakes then to lose to #1 LSU and an 11-1 USC team. Therefore you should just schedule cupcakes, whoop up on your conference foes and you're in the playoffs!! Except that probablly wont work for teams like TCU and Boise because they don't have "strength of schedule", hmm guess that theory is thrown out the window. 8 team playoff /debate lol Since I talked about no preseason rankings, I am curious as to what everyones top 25 would look like if you actually had the ability to choose it preseason. God I missed this thread!!! We just need Phil and Tilley to chime in and we're good to go

The system in place takes away from the regular season. Unless your in a power conference you're pretty much assured not to be in the 4 team playoff. The SEC is going to take 2 spost every year, I will put money on that. So then you have 2 spots left with several conference champions and possibly schools like Boise, TCU and even ND who are undefeated not in the top 4. What happens when you have 4 conference champions with loss along with other 1 loss teams. 4 is not enough. Your little snide comment about "people like you" well people worse then me will be in an uproar when their 11-1 or 12-0 conference champion doesnt get a chance at the National Title. This does nothing to solve the issue with a lack of playoff in CFB, its just a bandaid to try and cover up the mess. You already have schools trying to manipulate this system, I just read on espn 2 seconds ago how ND is trying to push Strength of Schedule as the main focus to this system, gee I wonder why? They aren't in a conference so they can't get in by that claim, so they will try getting in because they play USC and some mediocre big 10 teams yearly. How about no preseason rankings and no rankings in general til week 6 or so, that would help give everyone a fair shot. So Zack since you seem to be the expert on all things football, you tell me, which conference champions from last year do you not let in to your playoff system? Also please explain your reasoning. There lies another flaw to the system, most people will argue that you should have to win your conference to be in the playoffs, well bye bye Alabama, you now have a 3 loss ACC and Big East champion to fill their spot though..

I did not know that they have loaner helmets. I know the shop there doesn't sell jackets which suprised me. If you're gonna do test and tune you better go tonight because there is none next week with the holiday and Good Guys show

Im telling you the 4 team system is a bad idea and will lead to more bitching then the current BCS system. 8 teams is the perfect number imo. How about they take the 4 curent bowl games and make them the quarter final games, add in the Cotton Bowl (at Cowboy Stadium) and another game at say Indy's dome and make them the semi-finals and then have the NCG somewhere else. It is a start as people have said, but it could be so much better with a little tweaking. If College Basketball can have 65+ teams compete in their tournament why cant CFB do 8 teams?
-
Yeah I read where some think Lee can grow into a LB but he was quoted as saying he is being recruited to play the Star. I know Urban loves special teams, hell he put Rainey on the punt block unit lol
-
Oh hey!!! I seriously missed this thread lol. The bitching has already began about the format, 4 teams is weak. I say no more/less then 8. As I mentioned in another thread, you're going to have a buch of pissed off teams that have the same record as those in the 4 team playoff yet sitting at home watching. I think it will create a corruptness as those on the commitee will likely be bribed to select certain schools. If its only a 4 team format then it should atleast be only conference champions, but again that opens a can of worms. Lets talk about some of the recruits osu has landed in recent weeks. The D-line recruiting is seriously impressive I must admit and will be a handful for all opposing offensive lines for years to come. The addition of #5 DT Michael Hill as a pleasent suprise. 4* and the #1 player in South Carolina, it'll be nice to see some of the best talent in the south heading north. 6'3 and 315lbs is a load lol, his offer sheet is far more impressive the the 4* rating, he chose OSU over Alabama, Florida, LSU and Clemson just to name a few. Next up is hometown kid Darron Lee who is a 3* DB but is expected to play the Star position at OSU. Kid was under the radar to many until he came to OSU's camp and tore shit up from all accounts. Its kids like this that I honestly am glad get a chance to be at OSU. He got an offer and accepted on the spot, well right after Fickell made him call his mom and coach to let them know his decision haha. Now the one suprise recruit that not only has people saying "who" but "why" is Johnny Townsend. Townsed is a punter out of Florida, not a whole lot of information is given about him, not that there generally is about punters. Many are scratching their heads about this choice of scholarship as the count is limited and there is a lack of playmakers and o-lineman on board at this point. Not to metion OSU is still in the mix with a ton of top talent. Zack, whats the word on schollies remaining at this point, I have heard as many as 5 and as low as 1

Link me to our football thread, I miss talking shit plus OSU has landed a couple recruits lately -
They are going to make these into Ocean 11's type films. Thats why the last one was more about heist rather then racing cars

Gotta make it 8, how the hell would you be able to tell a 11-1 USC team sitting 5th in the rankings that they aren't good enough to be in the playoffs? I don't see how this is any better then the BCS to be quite honest, you still have a commitee selecting who gets a shot rather then letting teams actually play. You will have commitee members being bribed lol. Also I really think its a joke that the NCG will be played in the city with higest bid, so the NCAA is all about money and trying to gain more, yet they will suspend a kid for selling his own stuff....I am starting to really dislike CFB sadly. 8 teams would be a lot better or even do like the NFL and have wild card games. This system pretty much assures schools like TCU and Boise that they will never get a chance to be in a NCG. The 4 team format also tells me that CFB is looking to move into 4 super conferences which will be a huge mistake. Idk it'll be interesting to see how this works out and to see all the people going ape shit when their 1 loss school is left out BTW someone link me to our damn football thread we have on here, my searching skills are failing me lol -

I hope it doesn't go anywhere and I seriously hope Trails doesn't either. I do agree that people are driving to better tracks, hell we're going to Maryland in a month just to see if we can go faster there compared to trails -

Gotcha! I was under the impression that it was Summit who funneled in all the money to make Noralk nice. Jegs would be smart to put money into trail as you said, they'd have a nice home track to test on, hell even local shops such as IPS and Slowmotion would benifit from it too. Doesn't IPS take their Vette to Michigan for test and tuning? Honestly I think drag racing is on its way out not just here locally but nationally. No one cares about drag racing, unless you're a drag racer. The racer counts are down everywhere (atleast in the Import world) and sponsors don't want to invest anything into the sport. Maybe they could lower the cost to attend/race. Maybe $5 for spectators would help get people in the stands. I know on Wednesdays there is never 100 people in the stands, hell I would prob put money on it being less then 50 people honestly. Make it $10-$12 to race, you'd be suprised how much $3 effects peoples decision to race or not. -

It is really sad that Edgewater can have 3k plus in attendance on Thursday Nights, yet trails is happy as hell to get 100 people on a Wednesday/Friday night. I have been pushing a lot of friends locally to get out to the track rather then the street. Tails does need improvements, why doesn't Jegs step up and help more like what Summit has done for Norwalk, or have they already done a ton that I am not aware of? -
The wilds is going to happen but most likely next year when he is a little older to really enjoy it. The kid has been to several animal places and we are planning on taking him to the Cincy Zoo. So far we have taken him to: Columbus Zoo/Aquarium Virginia Beach Aquarium Newport Aquarium (Kentucky) Natural Bridge Zoo (Virginia) In the coming weeks we have trips planned to: AMA Hall of Fame (Pickerington) Cedar Point Maryland International Raceway

6/25/12: With the weather being damn near perfect I decided that staying in the house was not an option. Not having much money at the moment we decided to do something very cheap. We headed out 16 east to the 146 Zanesville exit and headed to Blackhand Gorge. There is a paved trail that is 4 miles long in which you can walk, rollerblade or bike down. There is a river that flows through the gorge that you can canoe down as well. There is also paths that take you around the gorge and through the woods. We had our 2 year old with us so we chose to stay on the pathway. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/blackhand.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/blackhand2.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/blackhand3.jpg
