  1. Thanks for all the advice. This paint will get beat on. I'd like to wrap the car with vinyl, but the cost is higher than I'd like to put into appearance.
  2. I'm not sure of any specifics. It'd be used in a HVLP gun, and I was thinking of single stage since I wouldn't need to clear. The paint doesn't have to be perfect.
  3. I'm thinking of painting my WRX. Since it's a working car and sees a lot of rough treatment, I think a single stage paint is fine enough. I have a friend with an air compressor and a gun. So I was thinking of just spraying it myself. (I know, I know, beware the n00b with the paint gun) 1. How many quarts of color (black, single-stage) should I get? 2. What kind of prep (other than masking and stripping stickers / remaining wax from the paint) do I need to do? 3. Would multiple coats be more durable? (seems obvious, but thought should ask) 4a. How long before it's safe to get it muddy? 4b. How long should the paint cure before I hit it with a wax? Thanks for any advice.
  4. First, go with a DVI connection. The monitor is digital and you're feeding it an analog signal. Second, change the desktop resolution to the native (max) resolution of the montor. Check the box if you don't know what it is. Either one of these will make the monitor try to fudge the picture and you won't get the best clarity. Both, and you'll have migraines in no time.
  5. Nice. Makes me want to move out of my apartment and into one of those.
  6. It's not to say they're worthless. But they aren't a hidden treasure. I'm quite sure you can find someone who would love to put those up in their "man cave" or whatever the current turn for a home sports bar/game room is now.
  7. I think there was a post like this just recently. If I remember correctly, IPS sells Super Blue ATE.
  8. Yeah, not authentic. I doubt those nice block-letter trademark disclaimers in the lower right corners were standard issue when the Babe was batting.

    Drink of Choice?

My father liked those. Though he preferred Pusser's rum.
  10. I love the "Old Magazine" filters on those.

    Drink of Choice?

I don't drink more than a very occasional beer, but Sam Adams Noble Pils is excellent. I really want to try a barrel ale some time though.
  12. Engine: "BOOOOOST!" Transmission: "That's all you fucking say. I'm outta here."
  13. When you have an 11.5 Ton vehicle that can FLY and has a max payload equivalent to another of itself, you don't need a reason.
  14. I'm trying to make all the 1st saturday C&Cs. Gotta clean the STI up some time this week.
  15. This could be cool. I'll bring Tug and park it backwards.
  16. Wish they did old Econolines. A classic front end on the ambulance would rock. :fuckyeah:

  18. Note, if you want to beat a subaru in a long jump, you better bring a 10 story drop and a TROPHY TRUCK! :fuckyeah:
  19. Horrible visibility on that Jeep... Oh wait, someone just can't figure out how to work a cell phone camera. :dumb:
  20. So what you're saying is that in the last 5 years OSX has gone into the shitter?
  21. But.. But... Macs don't get viruses! It's true! Their ads even say so! :gabe::lolguy:
  22. I somehow picked up the habit of bringing the engine right down to the point of stall when I ease off the line. Not sure why, but you'll see the nose drop then pick up when I drive. I need to stop doing that. Per the 2-rev thing, I don't see it a lot at the subaru meets. I know I do it sometimes however just to get the car rolling. But I try not to slip the clutch too much. Also, keep in mind that with an AWD system, you can't chip the tires to relieve driveline shock like you can in a 2WD car. So you have to drive with that in mind. As for Audi-vs-Subaru, I'd rather the ease of working on a Subaru, lower repair costs, and diffs that are actually LSDs rather than using the brakes to emulate them. And I couldn't care less about having a great interior over a good interior. But that argument's been covered countless times already.
  23. You can always roll and pull the fenders. Talk to Biggu. 11" would fit a 315.
