  1. We stock Mobil 1 hillbilly fry oil at the store. Though it's 5-40 like the synthetic Rotella. I don't see why it wouldn't be available on the online site.
  2. I wondered why we were selling so much M1 through online orders. The store level is never notified of web deals. :/
  3. The AI in GT5 will undoubtably hit you. It muscles its way through a line you have taken, and I even had it set up a trap to get me to rear-end it once. The AI in GT 5 is the same as it has been since GT 1. It's crap. The game is a disappointment, and Forza 3 is a better all-around game. The AI can't handle low-traction surfaces either. It's pitiful how slow it is on snow. However, GT5 is still fun to play for the most part. It's just an arcade racer, not "The Real Driving Simulator" as it is billed to be. As long as you keep that in mind, it's not bad.
  4. Not that I know of, but you can import cars from the GT PSP game. Not sure if it has licenses or whatnot in that. I've had to run through all of the license tests. They're pretty much what you'd expect. The only real change is that you have to be of a certain level to start each license. The good news is that you can get the first two from 0 as the xp from doing the first will get you high enough to start the second. So far I haven't had any licensing issues with the races I want to try, only level issues.
  5. I'll have to check, but I think it's Up on the D-Pad.
  6. It's funny because I've thought a rear-engined civic would be a fun little car to play with. I just never had the skill/tools/time to do it. A CRX is even crazier. I'd love to grab this if you sell it, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to finish it. A project like this is cool, but if it doesn't fit your goals, don't get tied to it. If your heart's not in it, you won't be happy with the results.
  7. I've had no issues in the past with them. They're some of my favorite cars for games like this because you can make them crazy light and kick serious ass in the HP challenges. But the ones in the Top Gear challenge make early MR2s and Porsche GT2s look tame. If you're hauling down from speed and have even the slightest bit of steering input or road camber the tail will swap ends. Even the AI which is usually rock-solid was having trouble controlling them. The only thing you can really do is let the tail get light and carry a slide. But when a heavy classic on bias-ply tires can handle better than an Elise, I have to wonder about how the Elise was modeled. Now, don't get me wrong, I *REALLY* wanted GT5 to be great. I picked up the Collector's Edition and even upgraded my wheel since the old one was having trouble in the straights. But unfortunately, GT5 is disappointing much like 3 and 4 were. It's almost as if Polyphony Digital works in a vacuum. Do they actually have beta testers? Or do they keep it all in-house for fear of leaks? There do seem to be fewer leaks of GT info when compared to other games. I think it might take so long to get a new GT out because they don't have a full beta program. It would explain why so many useability issues and oversights make it though to the final game.
  8. All cars come with adjustable brakes apparently. And you can get 200% braking too.
  9. So I've readjusted my opinion of the AI from Neanderthal to Bully. The AI actually *ACTIVELY* tries to screw you up. I thought it was just shoddy programming when the AI would brake too hard for corner entry, or again right after the apex when you were behind them. Or when it would spin you or try to pin you and push you off the track if it couldn't spin you. But apparently the AI is deliberately trying to mess with your line and send you off track. I know this because the AI just set up a trap in a race I was in. I was at the right side of the track behind one car when a second pulled up along my left. Then the car in front of me slammed on its brakes, in the middle of a STRAIGHT. I hit the car ahead, disqualifying me. On a marginally related note: For those who have driven an Elise before, are they really such tail-happy take-no-prisoners cars? I had always heard they were nimble but well-mannered. In GT5 they are vicious handling cars that make you walk a tightrope or they'll bite your head off.
  10. Been playing GT5. Physics are good. Not great, but very good. Damage doesn't hurt performance.. Kind of disappointing, but whatever.. LOVING the oldschool GT1 tracks. AI has the same Neanderthal "MY LINE! ME SPIN YOU!" crap that GT has had since the beginning. Wonder when they'll get around to actually writing an AI from this century. Car selection is thinly spread.. Mods are trimmed back, and car setup is.. ok.. (Can't adjust tire pressures?) Music sucks. Traction in the dirt is modeled ok if you shut off the low-traction surface aid. However, overall it's still fun to play and will likely eat up a lot of my time in the near future. I just wouldn't put this on par with Forza as "Simulation" goes. More like an advanced arcade game. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
  11. 3M headlight restorer. Uses a drill and comes with a couple different grits of sandpaper to strip off the outer layer, then polishes to bring it back up to clarity. As for tint, Automotive Appearance Pros did mine and they look great. A bit darker than I wanted, but I wanted something really light. Compared to what your tails are like now, you'd probably be really happy with the level of tint. You might also be able to replace your bulbs with Silverstar equivalents. I've been meaning to pick up a set of 7443 and 7440 bulbs. Advance sells them.
  12. I'd rock it if it had about 1" more ground clearance.
  13. Not even close... really. Let me lend you my braille keyboard.
  14. Gotta go with this. Of the Big 3, they're the bottom of the list, IMO.
  15. Subarus can be ugly or cool. But they should never be boring!
  16. Subaru has made a good looking car. Shocker, I know. http://www.drivingsports.com/site/2010/11/subaru-impreza-concept-stuns-la/ I hope the final product looks as good.
  17. Not at all! Just put a bumper sticker on the back of your car saying you're not responsible for damage to cars behind you.
  18. Keep a bucket of rocks in your passenger seat and take out their headlights when you get in front?
  19. Probably the last good NFS title because the tracks had character.
  20. I won't be getting it. All of their other offerings are just disappointments. And I'm sure this will follow suit with the rest of their crap where the cops will ignore the computer drivers and chase only you.
  21. Three words: Foam Filled Tires The Zombie Apocalypse is not a place for ride comfort. And you can find replacement tires, good luck finding another track segment.
  22. Lots of cool choices. My criteria would be: Diesel. You can fill up at an abandoned McDonald's Full Frame. Solid, reliable, and you can build off it if neccesary. Common. There's a reason why you always see Toyota 4Runner pickups and late 70s Mercedes sedans in third world countries. Parts are everywhere because they are common. Which means I'll end up with either a Ford SuperDuty or a Nissan UD. The SD would be more nimble which might give it an edge. But the UD would be a place to live as well. It might be best to just gather together in a roving convoy so everyone can support each other while not presenting one gathering point for the "Zeds".
