I wouldn't call myself a badge snob. I even pulled some off. But one of the things I kept in mind when I modded my car was so that you oculd look at the car and think it might have come from the factory like that. I do need to fill in the STI on the filler plate that covers the front plate mount. There already is one on the front; two when I put the foglight cover back on for the winter. I like it, and ultimately, that's what matters.

I actually like the mudflaps. Plus they save some sandblasting. As for the center caps, I need to get the rims off and see if I can *make* the caps they came with fit. The decals on the rims stay too. There are WAY too many Volk knockoffs out there.

All hybrid cars that I know of have regenerative braking. Even the new Formula 1 cars use regenerative braking. As for the shocks, that's a great idea.. It's one of those "Doh! That's so simple I should have thought of it and patented it" ideas. It's a great way to recover some of the energy lost by pushing the car over bumps. And there is a LOT of suspension motion just driving around.

Just a note, if you are only looking to drag race, I would recommend against an AWD car. At the upper end of power you're going to break a LOT of stuff. Even though I own an STI and respect the Evo, if I were interested in drag racing seriously, I'd get some RWD american iron.

It's already nearly 3400lbs with the V6. And depending on how stout the 2.0 is, it might be the better choice since it's roughly 100lbs lighter to start with. It looks like the last Tiburon, which I thought looked cool, but was disappointed that it was FWD. I wouldn't mind being seen in a Genesis coupe, but it'd need to go on a diet. New cars are getting too heavy.

It's funny... As a child I was taught that race means nothing, that a person should be judged by their own merits. So in some way, to me, the fact that his race is even mentioned is, in part, racist.
